Returns is one of my favorite Batman films. Why? I thought everyone was cast well but the story is total garbage.

Batman Begins Batman Batman Forever Batman Returns Batman and Robin
I was actually a huge fan of Batman Forever. Loved Jim Carrey as the riddler, it was just a fun movie and very nostalgic.

Why would it matter if he was black??? Well...because he isn't black. So what??? I actually didn't mind Michael Duncan Clarke as Kingpin, if The Penguin was cast as a black guy, mexican guy, or even asian guy I wouldn't care. I don't see why it makes much of a difference as long as they play the part well.

Does anyone in here remember the character ANARKY from the comics? He's sort of a ripoff of V, but he works in different kinds of Terrorism from V. ANARKY commits acts of terrorism to "better Gotham City" but never kills, he has some morality but still a terrorist and under Batman's radar in the comics.
I would love to see him even play a bit part in one of the films. He would have to be an ally to Batman in the film since he's not really a villian, he's just an anarchist. He would way too sympathetic because he doesn't kill to be a villian. But yeah, if he was in one of Nolan's films it would go Batman captures and ANARKY ends up helping Batman's cause.
I dunno, im just a mark for this character because i grew up reading Batman comics and when I was a kid, i always thought he was one of the cooler and different advesaries of Batman. I would really like Nolan to maybe use him in one of the films. Even in a cameo/small role, simply because I would mark out very hard.

I just feel that if someone is gonna be playing an iconic character, the skin color of said iconic character should not be altered. You know how stupid it would be if they made Bruce Wayne or Peter Parker black? Or any color for that matter. These are characters that have been around for decades. They don't need their race changed.

I really liked Batman Returns, IMO, the best of the first four films.
The first Batman is just, boring in parts. More boring than Batman Begins' first 60 minutes. Batman was good and all, but I thought Batman Returns was good in the fact that Burton added an extra villian and started the film off with a bang, pretty much.
I really like Returns, simply because Devito's Penguin is easily my favorite portryal of any of the villians problay. No one else could ever trump DeVito's Penguin, not even Hoffman. I also liked Catwoman in the film, but wasn't anything amazing. The things i didnt like were the fact Batman was almost as bad as his villians in Returns and doesn't feel like a true hero at all. and the weird sexual tension between Penguin and Catwoman, that was just nasty.

1. Whoever said bring in robin and then kill HIM and make him the red hood should be shot.
2. Whoever says forever is a good BATMAN movie need not see the dark knight.
3. The penguin shan't be black.
4. Jessica Alba?
5. Killer Croc?
6. Jude Law as the Riddler?
7. Bane. Seeing as Nolan seems to have his act together, and Joel is a complete idiot, I'd like to see Bane done correctly in this series. You know, the big, strong, INTELLIGENT beast instead of some musclehead that doesn't speak.
8. If Catwoman OR Robin are in any of these movies, I'm done.

Sure he can look like him, I just can't imagine him actually playing it well though.
I still say Kevin Spacey.

btw watching returns on hbo right now and its a fantastic artists vision of the batman comics LOL What a great joke! you idiot its true. Know what pisses me off, when I go to my friends girlfriends house and me and my friend start bullcrap about the dark knight and joker and crap and shes like if Joker doesnt die then jack nicholson should play him in the next movie. That Tommy lee jones was an amazing two face and Jim carrey should play the riddler again. Also claims bane is a stupid villian because all she knows about it is the Batman and robin take on bane. First of all Tommy Lee Jones didnt play Twoface he played "The Joker in a Two face outfit" as I say. He laughed more then he shouldve and took pleasure in hurting others.

Either way, having any emotion toward The Governator's Mr. Freeze, other than anger, is grounds for being made fun of.

I like the idea of Casey Afleck as Riddler. After his performance in Jesse James, I totally see him pulling it off. He really has a craziness to him in Assassination and I like the idea of him as Riddler.
I thought before that Adrian Brody would possibly be a good person to seek out for the role. But Casey Afleck sounds better.
Bane would be awesome. Knightfall is one of my favorite stories, though I don't see it influencing much of the new Batman films.
Robin would be ridiculous. Robin was originally going to Marlon Wayans in Tim Burton's Batman, but he just going to be a teenage mechanic working on the Batmobile. Nolan would never include him in the new films, evident by his statement saying he would cast Frankie Muniz as Robin, which will never happen.
I would think the Black Mask Gang will eventually turn up in one of Nolan's films.

No, scarred actually makes sense.
If Nolan was going to bring a Robin, I'd suspect he would bring in Nightwing instead of the actual Robin. Since he is obviously going towards more the dark route. I personally don't care, he can bring in any character he wants, it will still be pure gold.
Spacey as Riddler would be amazing, but he was already Lex Luthor in Superman Returns, so I doubt they would bring in the same actor from two different comic book movies who are in the same universe. Especially if there are rumors of a SuperBatman movie coming along. What are they going to do, in the day be Lex and at night put on a green spandex suit with question marks all over the place? But he would be the perfect person to play the role.
And Batman Forever wasn't necessarily a good BATMAN movie, it was just a fun movie. I enjoyed it, and that's what movies are all about. I liked the flashy costumes, Jim Carrey as Riddler, and the intro of Robin. I HATED Returns though, absolutely hated it with every fiber in my body. Was never a fan of The Penguin as a villain. Batman seriously has some of the lamest villains ever.

Maybe just be the comic book fan in me, but the Joker dancing to Prince is a crime in itself.
