Okay, so I closed Firfox a few minutes ago, and I went to open it again, and this box came out up saying; Then there's a Create, Delete, and Rename Profile buttons. Along with 'Exit' and 'Start Firefox'. Then, I hit the start firefox one, and it says it cannont use the profile, because it's in use. But..it's not. This doesn't usally happen, so how do I fix it? (I'm on IE right now BTW)

This has happened to me before, Hold Controll+Alt+Delete and go into processes and end the firefox.exe that is running on the list,
When you click back onto firefox if you did everything correctly all of your bookmarks and stuff will be there.
Works great, But if you click new user you'll lose everything.

Mozilla has a "Profile Manager" program that can be run to choose which profile you want.
Copy, paste, and save these steps into a Notepad document because you will need to close this window to fix things.
1. Close Mozilla Firefox. 2. Go to Start > Run 3. In the prompt, type the following exactly how I have it. firefox.exe -profilemanager 4. This should bring up the Mozilla Firefox profile manager. 5. Click the name of your lost profile and click "Start Firefox."
If for some reason this doesn't work and brings up an error saying that your profile is "locked," you might need to do a bit more. What's likely happening is that your computer thinks that your profile is 'locked' for some reason. That's the message I got, anyway, when my profile wouldn't load. Here's what I did.
6. Close the profile manager. 7. Restart your computer. 8. Upon startup, go to "My Computer" then choose your "C:" drive. Now click "Documents and Settings." Choose the name of your profile (may also be under "All Users"). 9. Can you see a file called "Application Data?" If not, your hidden files are not yet viewable. To enable them, go to "Tools" at the top of the window and click "Folder Options." 9a. A new window will popup. Click "View." In the scrolldown-area, under "Hidden Files and Folders," select "Show hidden files and folders." Click OK. 10. Find "Application Data" and open it. Now open "Mozilla." Open the "Firefox" folder. Now open the "Profiles" folder. 11. You should see one or more folders in here named something weird, then they have the actual name of the Mozilla profile at the end. Mine, for example, says "a81t5bf3.Nick". Find the profile you want to use and double click its folder. 12. Inside this folder, check to see that there is no "parent.lock" file. If there is, delete it. 13. Go back and go through steps 2-5. You should now be able to access your old profile.
If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll tell you how to transfer the bookmarks, cookies, etc. from your old folder into a new one so that you don't lose anything.
Hope this works for ya'.
