Burke stomps on the shoulder of Punk before grabbing Punk by the maroon-brown hair and the bright yellow trunks, tossing him carelessly through the middle rope and to the outside. Punk profusely tries to hold his back as Burke grabs the ropes and uses it to launch himself over the top rope, connecting with a double axe handle to the spine of Punk. Burke gives Punk a right hand to one of the shoulder blades before lifting him up and slamming him jaw-first into the barricade. Burke nails Punk with an uppercut before rolling him inside the ring under the ropes. Burke slides in with him and covers only to collect a near fall. Burke gets to his feet and drops an elbow on Punk's chest before laying into him with several lefts and rights. Punk tried to block it but Burke was too strong for him. Burke picks Punk onto his knees before planting him with an easily successful DDT causing Punk to flip over to his back. Elijah drops a double knee across the forehead of the briefcase holder before giving Punk several forearms to the face. Elijah picks Punk up and easily plants him with a scoop slam, shortly after dropping an elbow but Punk moved! Winner at 20:52, CM Punk
The announcer announces CM Punk as the winner in 20:52 as a result of a submission as Punk gets to his feet and takes the briefcase off of a stage hand at ringside. Punk's arm is raised by Earl Hebner as Punk holds his back once more. Meanwhile, Elijah Burke holds his head in his right hand and slowly rolls out of the ring, heading up the ramp towards the stage. As Burke disappears behind the curtain however, Gregory Helms walks out from it, walking out to the stage, microphone in hand.
[Helms]- CM Punk, at WrestleMania 24. At WrestleMania 24 you won something that enabled you to make yourself a true WWF Champion, a true superstar. When you won the Money in the Bank briefcase in that six man battle royal in Orlando on March 31st. You immediately became known as the fastest rising star in WWF history since Kurt Angle back at the turn of the century. You won the briefcase after only two months in the company and you went on to defeat Finlay to retain that briefcase earlier this month at Backlash. Well after that it all seemed to go downhill for you huh, Punk. Remember last Monday night? Huh? The opening match on WarZone? I cleanly pinned you right there in the middle of that squared circle! And now I know the technique and the game you play, I know of your ability, CM Punk. And I can tell you one thing, you aren't deserving of that briefcase. You may of beaten Kevin Thorn, Samoa Joe, Chris Benoit and Finlay but let me tell you this marked man, you haven't beaten me yet. And so I challenge you for that briefcase, I want you to give me all you've got, because at King of the Ring. At King of the Ring, I will be in possession of that very briefcase!
Gregory Helms' theme hits again as Helms grins and steps backwards, heading back behind the curtain. Punk is left in the centre of the ring alone with the briefcase in his eye sight. We go to the commercial break.

The announcer introduces Shamrock at 240 pounds and at a height of 5'11.
The production theme of John Morrison then hit the arena as two stage hands rolled out a red carpet notable for their appearance at many movie premieres. Several planted 'paparazzi' then walked backwards down the ramp, shortly followed by John Morrison and his partner, Joey Matthews of MNM. Matthews picks Ken up and drops him with a death valley driver dropping him on his head. Matthews stomps on Shamrock more before WWF Television Champion, Billy Kidman runs to the ring!
Winner at 09:25 by Disqualification and STILL NWA Heavyweight Champion, Ken Shamrock
Kidman trades blows with Matthews before hitting an amazing powerbomb, sending Matthews running. But Kidman walks right into a downward spiral moonsault like move! Morrison stands tall over Kidman as Matthews grabs the microphone and walks over to the announcers nearby the stage.
[Matthews]- We have done what we've done for a reason, McMahon. It's pretty damn clear that we're better than the World's Most Dangerous Man, Ken Shamrock; the NWA Heavyweight Champion. And we sure as hell now know we're better than WWF Television Champion, Billy Kidman. So what's the damn deal? McMahon, what I'm saying is that me and Morrison, MNM, want a tag team match with Billy Kidman and Ken Shamrock. But, and that is a very big but, we also want the Television and NWA Heavyweight Championships on the line. It's fine if you say no because we'll easily give you something to cry about, unlike the result of this match.
[Vince]- You got it, I'm not holding back.
The theme of Morrison and Matthews hits again as Matthews drops the microphone on the announce table and leaves with the limping John Morrison to the back, as Kidman and Shamrock are left affected next to their respective title belts.
