Hi Guys, It's Schellshocker again.
I have over 250 Jakks "Classic / RA" style figures. Whats to best way to pack them to prevent damage in a move?
I was thinking of using "Clear Zip lock Sandwich Bags" then packing the figures into cardboard boxes, standing up? Is this a good way?
Anyone have a better Reccomendation / idea?
Thanks

Well, I've got the majority of my loose guys packed separately in bubble wrap and then stored in plastic totes. Granted, I haven't been to the storage place in almost a year and haven't looked in the totes to see how they're all doing, so I have no idea if that was a good way of packing things or not. And it was a smidgen more money than I probably should have spent on just packing them, but it seemed to do the trick.

Wrap each individually and kitchen roll or bubble wrap.

I would recommend that you bubble wrap each fgure. Although it will take you forever to do since you have so many figures, its probably the best way so that they will not get damaged.

Use a lgood sized plastic tote and alternate layers of figures with bubble wrap, or you can wrap them individually and use the same method.

One thing not to do is use packing peanuts in direct contact with your figures. While it can protect them, packing peanuts have a tendency to "melt" onto plastic. Had a whole bunch of Muppets figures damaged that way. I was able to scrape the peanuts off most of them, but it took a lot of time and some still show marks.

That's basically how I did it when I moved last year, schellshocker. Most important part I think is to make sure they're standing up. The ones I piled up or had laying down ended up with bent limbs and joints.

When I moved I used a plastic tote, but took them to my girlfriends house. I had a bad experience with Star Wars figures and a hot storage area. Just pack them nicely and keep them in a cool place, thats the only suggestion I can make.
