They are basically Raw PPVs featuring SmackDown/ECW. Judgment Day and One Night Stand have had twice as many Raw matches as SmackDown. They've been unable to put SD PPVs together that can draw, but with ECW as a supplement I think they could pull it together. I seriously think it's time to end the brand extension though. There's just not enough room on the PPV cards.

Yes, but the quality of the events has improved, cutting out most of the filler matches usually associated with brand-specific ppvs.
I actually like the current format, although I agree, SmackDown! should be represented with more than just one or two matches on each card. Both shows should be split even with ECW getting one or two matches each ppv event.

Don't get me wrong, I've loved the shows since they reunited them, and I'm glad to have the big event feel back, but I think it would be even better if the brands were united.

the first 3 PPVs of this year were amazing. the rumble was the best in years, no way out's chamber matches were memorable, and wrestlemania was one of the best WWE produced shows ever.
we're just going through the post-wrestlemania crap fest that we get every year. they seem to do the 'mania rematches about 20 times at the pay-per-views following. hopefully the draft will shake things up and give all shows and PPVs a fresh feel.

I think ending the single brand PPV's was one of the better moves WWE has made the last few years IMO from Survivor Series to Wrestlemania were all solid PPV's and to be fair Backlash was not even that a bad PPV but compaired to the last few months it just wasn't as good.

For me, I would like to keep brand PPV, expect 4 PPV, so talents wrestlers will have room to booked to doing an match.

Joint PPVs was a smart move. The problem is as everyone knows, its there are too many ppvs now thanks to the branded ppvs so there is little buildup for feuds. Having a ppv every 3 weeks is ridiculous. And since I haven't paid attention to the show on a consistent basis since WM I'm all kinds of lost on some of these current 'random' feuds.

In order to make more solid cards all brand ppvs are a good idea. But what i hate about them is as you mentioned and that it deprives many stars from being featured on PPVs. Lots of guys dont make it due to time constraints.
