Maybe we wouldn't complain if the WWE pushed the right people based on talent rather then size. Internet wrestling fans make up a small portion of the overall WWE audience. When we want new people getting pushed, we mean new superstars, guys who are fresh, guys who we actually want to see main, not bringing up mid-carders no one cares about to main event level. JBL should of never been WWE Champ. The only reason he was WWE champ was because he was on SD and they didn't have many heel main eventers. As for Mark Henry and Khali, they're useless and should of been released a long time ago. No one cares about them. They're not entertaining and they get no reaction at all. As for Rey, his title run was a failure because I think as champ they had him win like one match. They were jobbing him out to Khali and Henry. Hard to take some serious as champ when their losing to mid-carders.
As for Cena, he was pushed down everyone's throat, I think people were burned out on Cena. We want new superstars be feature in main roles. CM Punk should of been pushed to the moon after MITB, to make him seem like a threat to the Champs. MVP and Matt Hardy should be main eventing.
McMahon has no idea how to push guys now, he if did, we wouldn't be having this money give away. As for this whole "if you want wrestling why are watching WWE?" crap, well, they're a wrestling company are they not? They have "wrestling" in their company name right? they hire wrestlers right? By that logic, when I watch a wrestling show, I expect to see, some, you know, wrestling! It would be like watching UFC and see nothing but promo's and not see a single fight.
Lay off the internet fans. It's pretty clear WWE doesn't give a **** about what there fans think anyways.
Again, Lashley was a fresh face who got pushed into the main event. He was then hated on. Khali was a fresh face who was pushed into the main event. He was then hated on. When Batista got his big push several years ago he was a fairly fresh face. People hated him immediately. They tried pushing Kennedy, but he screwed that up himself. If not I can guarantee you the hatred would've begun. When Cena's push started he was a fresh face. He was a young guy who'd never been in the main event. People hated him.
You're right that Vince has no idea how to push guys. No one has ever heard of Hogan, Savage, or Stone Cold. Now you can argue that some of those guys made their names elsewhere and were already big names in the business before the came to Vince. But he's taken his share of complete unknowns and pushed them too. What about The Rock, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle or even the Ultimate Warrior? All of these guys were virtual unknowns in the wrestling world before they got a huge push and became household names.
Also, none of those guys (besides Angle) was a talented ring worker when they got their push. The Rock was never the best wrestler on the roster but he's extremely entertaining. Undertaker was a solid worker but nothing more when he got his push back in the 90's. The Warrior's work rate speaks for itself, but the reaction he could get from a crowd also speaks for himself. To say Vince doesn't know how to push guys is a ridiculous statement.
What I ment, is that Vince, today, has no idea how to push guys. I'll agree, when done right, Vince can do great things for someone. As for this these days, Vince doesn't know how to push anyone. All the guys you listed as fresh faces, Khali should of never been given a title. As hard as they tired, no one cared about Lashley because he was terriable at everything. I actually enjoyed when Batista got his main event push, it was done right. When Cena was doing his thug gimmick, people loved him, but then the WWE turned him into his cutesy guy and everyone just got sick of it. I agree, Kennedy did screw him self up bad.
