They're never happy even when they get what they want. For example. One of the big complaints I always see is that the WWE never pushes new guys and we see the same guys in the main event all the time and they're stale. For the record, I agree about 90%. A lot of the guys are stale and tired and they do need to push young guys/fresh faces.
The problem is every time they do people hate on them. They pushed JBL from mid-carder to legit main eventer. People hated him holding the belt for so long and hated him in the main event. They pushed Cena (a young guy) and put the belt on him. People promptly hated him. They pushed Rey Mysterio. He was a guy who was talented and largely held back because of his size. That was no longer the case. They put the belt on him and people on here started bitching that it was the World Heavyweight Championship and he shouldn't have it. (I guess the WWE Championship would've been ok though.) Lashley comes up and gets a push. The board is filled with Lashley sucks threads. Khali comes up and gets a push. We see Khali can't wrestle posts. During the same time they gave Mark Henry a big push. People on here hated him. I could continue, but I think I've made my point.
The WWE does push new guys. When they do the fans promptly turn on them, hate them and they are de-pushed. Then people bitch about why this guy has been depushed when he was so talented. They're never happy no matter what happens.
Agree? Disagree?

I dont really see what their push has anything to do with people hating them. JBL did hold the title for too long and Khali certainly cant wrestle, and people complained about them before they became champions anyway.

Why don't you explain how to "properly push" someone then, since I'm sure you run your own promotion and all.

I'm so friggin sick of Hulkamaniac's push. He was much better as a heel. Now that he has his new financial adviser/investor gimmick, he's all over the forums. It's annoying! What a Paul Ellering ripoff. I hope he gets released and ends up in the Mattel board.

The problem with internet fan criticisers is they ignore the positivity and focus on the negativity, yes we're overly critical of some things WWE do but there are also things we do like for example Ted Dibiase jr. not everyone likes him but it seems the majority do. WWE seem to push people with novelty factor which is what internet fans dislike and WWE's tendency to water things down is slightly annoying. Take CM Punk people complain how internet fans loved him as an indy guy but dislike him now that's coz CM Punk was badass but has been watered down to suit a more age appropriate audience, people dont dislike him now for the sake of it. Also there will always be differing internet fans so there will always be groups that arent happy, one group may love RAW and another may want it to be more adult, then if WWE changed that the second group would be happy but the first might be annoyed at change, that way it just seems like internet fans aren't content when they are really.

I don't see anyone having a problem with Orton or Edge...
Everyone loves a good heel.

Who could the WWE push that Internet fans would like? I think it kind of comes down to people want the WWE to book a style that's not the WWE style.

I agree 100% with all said. I would be embarrassed to call myself an "internet wrestling fan". As soon as I hear that all I see is someone who won't stop complaining and bitching.

And when CM Punk won MITB everyone said he wasn't ready and turned on him. And then when he didn't get a mega-push to the WWE title everyone said he shouldn't be losing and he wasn't being used right.

I don't see anyone having a problem with Orton or Edge... Everyone loves a good heel. I see Orton get bashed all the time for being bland and uninteresting. Not to mention his love of rest holds. To me Edge reeks of mid-cardness and nothing about him stands out as main event except for his look. He's not particularly charismatic and while he's a solid worker he's certainly not anything amazing in the ring. I'm sure people will probably disagree with me though.

Yes I agree, I have said that some people can't wrestle. Like Cena and Khali, well Cena is just in the main event way too much. Khali was actually ok, I mean he is a huge guy, he does alright. But I loved Mark Henry in the main event, same with Rey. But I do see where you are coming from.

Nice post, and I agree with you to a certain extent. The most annoying thing to me, though, is that WWE "smarks" on here say that everything is predictable, and base every Raw, SmackDown!, ECW and pay-per-view off of how predictable it is/was, completely ignoring the quality of the show. WWE is predictable... for the "smarks" on this forum. Is it predictable for the casual WWE fan who is 12 years old? Probably not as much.
Anyways, back to your topic. I also agree with this, but some of the guys you listed should never have been pushed to main event level in the first place, namely JBL, Mark Henry, and ESPECIALLY The Great Khali.
It's not that they're heels. It's that they're legitimately boring in the ring and in the personalities of their character, and in some cases, way too sloppy in the ring and a real danger to talent that should be at the top. Khali shouldn't be in wrestling, period. Mark Henry should, but not as a contender for the WWE or World Heavyweight Championships. It's been proven that he doesn't do well, because the WWE has brought him back numerous times, and have done nothing with him once he's in the spot. I know the purpose of a "big guy" isn't to be this flashy, charismatic, wrestler or w/e, but Mark Henry is just so bland. When we have guys like MVP who right now are not being used to their full potential, we have Mark Henry and Khali interfering in the title scene.
Nowww John Cena... my favorite ever. I have no complaints. People hate him just for the sake of hating him, it seems. I'll never understand why the guy who can deliver the best promos in the WWE next to Triple H and Shawn Michaels gets **** on because of his "5 Moves of Doom". Shawn Michaels, given the better wrestler obviously, also has a planned move set like Cena. Ever notice Michaels always doing the same thing toward the end of the match? For instance: Atomic drop, punch, body slam, elbow drop, Sweet Chin Music. It's the same thing. Yes, Michaels is a better wrestler than Cena, but Cena does not suck.
Rey Mysterio..... I loved his Rumble win in '06, was genuinely happy to see him win the World Heavyweight Championship at WM22, and was interested in his fued with JBL. A lot of people didn't like the fact that Rey's success was off of Eddie Guerrero's death. I think it was, too, but he's incredibly popular and Batista was out on injury at the time. He sells merchandise and is the most popular thing with little kids, WWE's main audience. That's all that matters.
Lashley... "No." I never liked him. The only match of his that I enjoyed was against Cena at the Great American Bash in 2007. The fact that he walked out on the WWE just proved to me further that he has no business being in professional wrestling.
Wrestling fans on WF... They're indecisive. They shouldn't complain so much about the only thing they have going for them in their lives.
WF heel turn?

I think a Mark Henry push would be good as a tweener, also I was one of they few here and still am a Lashley fan.

I agree. I know alot of smarks just seem to whine about everything.
For me, I try to be optomistic and just enjoy the product as much as possible. Of course some things bother me. I think the current main title feuds right now are a bit bland because we need new rosters, but overall in 2008 so far I think WWE has been doing great. For one thing, every PPV has been amazing.

I think it all comes down to creative. Give me a reason to get behind a wrestler. CM Punk could have been pushed to the moon after winning MITB but he has been jobbed out constantly.
Why would I believe in him now?

i agree with u. though, i got bored with cena, just seemed too repetitive for me. id love it if he were still mid-card status, cuz i dont HATE his wrestling. jbl is great in the main event. i think half way through his reign(at survivor series), he shouldve lost to booker t tho. khali's lack of skills has always bothered me. lashley is the same as cena for me... i wish he had some more solid fueds, if they extended him and big show, his title reign would've been much more entertaining. and i love that they gave punk the mitb. annnd, i was pumped to see rey get his time to shine, hopefully he'll come back and take the title from edge this summer! mark henry never bothered me either way tbh, made for a good main event challenge, duno how he'd be as a champion tho...
