Hey I just received a new Hasbro ring from a ridiculous eBay deal for like $20...anyway, the box is mint but the tape that held it together is so old, it left the box able to be opened so I did. Everything is there in perfect shape including the golden world title still attached to the the rubber netting thing but when I looked at the sealed bag with the ring posts and turnbuckles, I noticed they are not navy blue but pitch black!
Is there such a thing as the blue Hasbro ring with black posts and turnbuckles?

I have this ring also, and I believe it was exclusive to the UK, although I may be wrong.
All I know is I bought mine MOC from an eBay seller in the UK several years back, and I was surprised to find black ring posts and turnbuckles, too.

They were available in the UK, sometimes attached was the SoundBox. And maybe a Rowdy Piper figure inside. = as rare as the blue posts and turn buckles

I wrote an article for Big Red Toybox back in 95' about all the Hasbro variations. I got a bulk shipment from a defunct toy warehouse that had about 20 of these...they intended to sell in Mexico but a lot never made it down there. If memory serves me right...I got a batch, John's Collectible Toys got some, and someone from Europe got a batch.
So if you see the box with bilingual writing, that will contain the black accessories.

Still it is nice to see the perfect gold painted world title and all the decals still on the sheet...I'm pretty stoked...Is it worth more or less then the regular ring?

I got a ring with black posts from KB when they had a lot of the French carded figures (the ring box was also in French)

I also had the black posts. GOt it in 92, then two of the posts snapped. My mum got pieces from a tree branch carved them down and painted them black for me as replacements until the next christmas when I got a new ring. Ahh the days of my wooden/plastic hybrid battle ground.
