Seems like this should be good, you're a good writer and it's an interesting time period.
Interested to see what you do for WM this year, if you keep the finish they went with or if you do something completely different.

Cool that you went with te Hogan/Andre angle to vacate the title and will have the tourney at Mania 4. I loved savage's win at the real WM4, so Im rooting for him or Ted Dibiase to take the title.

Good to see Strike Force retaining, just to keep it warm for the Killer Bees. Andre winning the belt and trying to sell it is completely classic and hilarious. One thing I'm not digging with the layout, is the change of color from red to blue. Kinda hard on the eyes. Otherwise, beast write up and I will be looking into buying a home from this diary in the near future.

THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION PRESENTS... THE MAIN EVENT Indianapolis, IN - February 5, 1988The opening video package opens up this live installment from the World Wrestling Federation, hyping up tonight's main event - the biggest rematch of all-time, as Andre the Giant challenges Hulk Hogan for the World Wrestling Federation Championship in a WrestleMania III rematch! We then went to the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, where Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura welcomed us to this live television special, broadcast on NBC! Ventura and Monsoon discussed how two titles were on the line tonight on this sixty minute special, specifically hyping up Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant's second encounter for the WWF Heavyweight Championship of the World. They then promoted our first main event of the night, sending us to "Mean" Gene Okerlund. We went to "Mean" Gene Okerlund in the locker room of the "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, as he was conducting an interview with the current reigning World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion, the Honky Tonk Man. Gene asked for his thoughts just moments prior to going to battle against the "Macho Man" Randy Savage for his title. Jimmy cut Gene off, telling him to take a look at the title, and then to take a look at the Honky Tonk Man, stating how that belt was right around the waist of the champion, telling Okerlund that it suits more around Honky Tonk Man's waist much more than that macho scum, Randy Savage. Jimmy then questioned why the beautiful Miss Elizabeth would go for someone as putrid as that caveman, Savage. Honky then talked the talk, telling Gene how he was going to put the "Macho Man" down tonight and humble him, and how after tonight we will see who truly is the greatest, most successful Intercontinental Champion. And when Randy Savage has been put away, he'll be leaving tonight, with Miss Elizabeth on his arm as well! The Honky Tonk Man (w/Jimmy Hart) def. Randy Savage (w/Miss Elizabeth) to retain the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship (08:25) The "Macho Man" was amped up for this one, his shot at regaining the WWF Intercontinental Championship which he lost back at WrestleMania III, some eleven months ago. The Honky Tonk Man was arrogant and over-confident as always headed into this one, but he was rocked in the early moments from the fiery side of the "Macho Man", whom received an outstanding reaction from this capacity crowd. Jimmy Hart was loud throughout, routing for Honky to keep on top, but when Savage focused on the pesky "Mouth of the South", Honky would strike from behind, putting the boots on the former champion. The crowd weren't liking this as Honky Tonk remained on top, showing off why he is the Intercontinental Champion. Savage soon mounted a comeback though, as Honky came off the top with an axe handle, winding up in a clothesline from Savage! Savage came back at Honky, to the point where the champion scurried to the outside. The champion dazed and looking for a breather near the guard rail, Jimmy Hart came to consult him, and that's when Savage came off of the top rope with an axe handle on both Hart AND the Honky Tonk Man, draping both of them over the guard rail! The crowd were electric as Savage got up on the top rope, Honky down on the canvas; Savage looking for that Diving Elbow, but suddenly the Hart Foundation came down to ringside! Bret "Hitman" Hart distracted the referee as Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart shoved Savage off of the top, and this allowed Honky to cover Randy for the cheap victory to retain his title! The crowd booed as the Honky Tonk Man slowly rolled out of the ring into the waiting arms of the Hart Foundation, Jimmy Hart with Bret and Jim as well, as they had all merged together in order to succeed in allowing the Honky Tonk Man to leave Indianapolis still the WWF Intercontinental Champion! We returned to Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura, as Gorilla harped on about the travesty that just happened to "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Jesse countered however, stating that the Honky Tonk Man had connections, and reminded Gorilla how it wasn't cheating unless you were caught cheating! Gorilla moved on to discuss the Royal Rumble television special that occurred ten days ago on the USA Network, cutting to show a video package of how "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan managed to triumph in a twenty-man over the top rope battle royal. The announcers then promoted how the intense rematch of the century was moments away, cutting to our first commercial break of the show. -- COMMERCIAL BREAK --We returned to the Main Event to see Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura further discussing how the rematch of the century was about to happen between two of the biggest names in the history of this sport; Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant. They ran down the history between the two before rolling some clips, starting with their historic encounter at WrestleMania III, where Hogan walked away with the WWF Heavyweight Championship, ending the fifteen-year-old undefeated streak of the Giant in Pontiac, Michigan; from there, we saw Andre the Giant's team victorious back in November at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event, managing to defeat Hulk Hogan's team; followed by the attack on the WWF Heavyweight Champion back at Saturday Night's Main Event last month; And finally, the contract signing for the rematch of the century between the two, just ten days ago at the Royal Rumble where Andre beat down the "Hulkster". We were then reminded by Gorilla about how Ted Dibiase, the "Million Dollar Man" had tried to buy the WWF title from the "Hulkster", just for him to turn it down. Andre later stated that if he were to win this match tonight, he would personally deliver the title to Dibiase if he could make him a rich, rich man. Friendship dissected into jealousy and hatred, this was all about to come to ahead tonight. "Mean" Gene Okerlund" was then shown in the locker room of the challenger for tonight's main event, Andre the Giant. The Giant was stood alongside Bobby "the Brain" Heenan as always, as Okerlund asked Heenan about how Andre's chances were going into the rematch of the century. Heenan told Okerlund that today was the day that Andre was going to destroy the "Immortal One", and take his World Wrestling Federation Championship. Heenan spoke out about how Andre has watched the encounter from WrestleMania III every day since it happened, and this gargantuan was about to break history, and end Hulkamania tonight in this scabby town called Indianapolis. Andre talked about how he was ready to go, and that it may not be pretty for all of the Hulkamaniacs to see: he was going to hurt, crush and manhandle the "Hulkster" in that ring, and how he was going to end Hogan's storied career and four-year old title reign in just a few moments. Gene Okerlund was then shown in the locker room of the World Wrestling Federation Champion, as the "Immortal" Hulk Hogan seemed jacked for this rematch of the century encounter. Okerlund asked for his thoughts going into this match, as Hogan was hyped, talking about how he's been the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion for four years; for four years he has stayed on top of this organization, he's kept it afloat and he's made so many people believe in Hulkamania. The world is jacked for the "Hulkster" wherever he goes, whether it be here tonight in Indianapolis, or whether it be in front of 90,000 screaming Hulkamaniacs in Pontiac Silverdome, all screaming his name! Hogan talked about how he and Andre used to be friends, but people have gotten inside the big man's head: Bobby Heenan, Ted Dibiase, people turning the friendship into one big ugly disaster: but Hogan believes in triumph and justice, and tonight, Andre was not going to leave as the champion, nor was he going to give the title to Ted Dibiase! Tonight, Hulkamania will fuel the Market Square Arena as Hulk Hogan drops the leg over that wide chest of the Giant, one more time! Andre the Giant (w/Bobby Heenan, Ted Dibiase & Virgil) def. Hulk Hogan to win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship (9:06) The rematch of the century was here, as we were given memories of that faithful Spring day back on March 27, 1987; where 93,000 fans piled into the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan to watch the biggest match in professional wrestling history: Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant. Much like that encounter, Andre and Hulk sized each other up in an intense staredown as the roof almost came off of the Market Square Arena, even though the odds were highly stacked against the "Hulkster" this time around. Hogan and Andre finally collided with a barrage of fists, soon engaging in a lock-up which Andre easily dominated. Hogan seemed more hyped up however, nailing Andre with numerous right hands, then attempting the body slam that shook the world on March 27 of last year: just for Andre to crush Hogan! Hogan managed to kick out at the last second, but the champion was wounded, Hogan's ribs damaged from that body slam attempt, and Andre capitalized on it, firing away with headbutts and stomps to the chest, even standing on the "Immortal" WWF Heavyweight Champion! Ted Dibiase watched on from ringside with a wide grin on his face, as his plan was all coming together smoothly! Andre soon laid into Hogan with a splash in the corner, nailing his trademark Butterfly Suplex but for a near fall, as Hulkamania was not over yet! Hogan tried to mount another comeback, but Andre soon grabbed him by the back of his neck, locking in some sort of vice grip! Hogan started fading as Andre relentlessly delivered headbutts into the back of Hogan's head, Hogan beginning to fade away to the Hulkamaniacs in Indianapolis' terror! Hogan was down for one, and then for two, but Hogan managed to raise his hand before the third, remaining consciousness and mounting a comeback, delivering a massive clothesline to the Giant! Hogan got more and more pumped up as he had Andre ready for a body slam: but Virgil got on the apron! Hogan tossed him inside from the apron, delivering a big boot to the servant of Ted Dibiase! Hogan glared at Dibiase with intensity, as Hulk then turned back to Andre, going for the body slam again: but Andre once again crushed Hogan, and referee Dave Hebner fast-counted, winning the World Wrestling Federation Championship! The crowd booed loudly as garbage was pelted at the ring, Andre the Giant getting off of Hulk Hogan, whilst Dave Hebner suspiciously ran away from the scene, rushing to the back! Hogan realised what had happened, and proceeded to chase Dave to the back, wanting a word or two with the official! Andre the Giant's hand was raised in victory meanwhile, by Bobby "the Brain" Heenan, as the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase got into the ring as well. Heenan handed Andre the World Wrestling Federation Championship as Gorilla Monsoon complainted about this being a conspiracy, a miscarriage of justice against the "Hulkster" and Hulkamaniacs everywhere! "Mean" Gene Okerlund then approached the ring, as Okerlund asked Bobby Heenan what just went on involving Dave Hebner and the fast-count! Heenan told Gene that nothing went on, that the official just happened to count to three, and how it had nothing to do with them - but what was more important was that Andre had finally done it, he had won the WWF Heavyweight Champion of the World! The crowd booed furiously, garbage continuing to be thrown into the ring at Andre and the evil doers. Okerlund then asked for some words from the new champion, as Andre told Gene that he had destroyed Hulkamania tonight, he ended the four year old streak of that "Immortal" one - that it was all over for Hulk Hogan! Andre then stated that Ted Dibiase offered a massive amount of money for him to relinquish the belt to him, and so he has taken the "Million Dollar Man" up on the offer, personally delivering the title belt as promised to Ted Dibiase! The crowd booed louder, as Gene asked if this was allowed to Dibiase's response! Dibiase told Andre that he knew he would be good for his word, as everyone is when it comes to the almighty dollar! Dibiase laughed as he was given the WWF Heavyweight Championship, shaking hands with Andre and the "Brain"! It was chaos in the Market Square Arena as Andre, Bobby Heenan, Ted Dibiase and Virgil began to leave with the WWF Heavyweight Championship intact, as Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura discussed what had just happened here tonight on NBC! The "Body" told Gorilla that Hulkamania was finally over, and that the red-and-yellow wearing disgrace, Hulk Hogan was no longer here to further demean that World Wrestling Federation Championship, because it was now around the waist of the honorable "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase! Gorilla further complained and argued with Jesse, when suddenly Dave Hebner appeared at ringside! Dave ran in on Jesse and Gorilla's conversation, as Dave repeatedly yelled that he didn't officiate the World Wrestling Federation Championship match, and how he didn't screw the "Hulkster"! Gorilla and Jesse looked confused, as Gorilla stated that we were going to a commercial break whilst they sorted all of this out. -- COMMERCIAL BREAK --We returned to the Main Event as Gorilla Monsoon welcomed us back, talking about controversy being the sole-factor tonight on this program, having just spoken to Dave Hebner about how it wasn't him who cost Hulk Hogan the WWF Heavyweight Championship - or even officiated that match. Dave Hebner was standing by with "Mean" Gene Okerlund in the backstage area, as Gene demanded the truth from Dave Hebner. The official stated that he did not officiate that match with Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant - that that match was however officiated by his twin brother, Earl! Dave stated that he was stuck in traffic all day today, and when he finally arrived at the Market Square Arena tonight, it was too late to save the day. He just saw Earl, and he laid right into him! Dave told Gene that he would have never done such a thing to the "Hulkster" - he's an impartial referee, and he doesn't want his reputation to be destroyed by Earl's decision to sabotage the rematch of the century. At that point, the former champion himself walked in as Hulk Hogan was furious, stating that he believed that it wasn't Dave Hebner in that ring! He knew when he spoke to that referee pretending to be Dave before the match that the man doing the officiating tonight was not Dave Hebner. Hulk stated that he may have lost tonight, but once President Jack Tunney hears about this, he's going to have a field day: and on that day, Hulkamania will rise, because it will be judgment day for the rogue referee, the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, and the man that shouldn't have won tonight, Andre the Giant! The "Hulkster" will be the WWF Heavyweight Champion once again, brother! Strike Force def. Barry Horowitz & Steve Lombardi in a non-title match (04:40) In an effort to help take the Indianapolis crowd's mind off of what had gone on moments ago with Hulk Hogan, the Hebners, Andre the Giant and Ted Dibiase, Strike Force were here to electrify the Market Square Arena with their high-energy ability, proving why they are the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions. They were up against some mean opposition however, as whilst Tito Santana and Rick Martel started off with some fast-paced double-team maneuvers against Barry Horowitz, Steve Lombardi came in illegally and gave their team an advantage against the champions, a chop block sending Martel right down to the canvas. Lombardi and Horowitz managed to work that leg for several moments, whilst gloating that they had a future shot at the WWF Tag Team Champions riding on the line if they won this match. Martel soon managed to make a comeback however, and he made the tag to Tito, Santana rushing in and kicking up a storm as it eventually came down to all four men in the ring, Martel managing to lock in the Boston Crab on Horowitz, whilst Santana laid Lombardi out with the flying forearm smash, covering for the victory! The fans cheered as Strike Force's hands were raised in victory, Tito Santana and Rick Martel having picked up another win tonight on the Main Event, proving to everyone why they are the WWF Tag Team Champions! We went to Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura, as they once again played up the commotion earlier tonight, with how the World Wrestling Federation could be effected forever with the end of Hulk Hogan's storied four-year long reign as World Wrestling Federation Champion. Gorilla hoped for retribution and revenge for the "Hulkster" against Ted Dibiase, Andre the Giant and this Earl Hebner fellow, as they signed off the Main Event, sending us into the closing credits.

Hogan vs. Andre II is huge for a Main Event. Can't get any bigger. Big win for HTM. Interested to see if Savage feuds with the Hart Foundation. If he does, I wonder who his partner will be. I wonder where HTM goes from here. I would like to see him feud with either Steamboat or Duggan. He and Steamboat could put on some great matches, but Duggan has a lot of momentum coming off of the Rumble win. I'm surprised to see the title match in the middle of the show. I'm so glad Andre won. I really would want to see where his title reign could go. Well, that was short lasted. I'm interested to see the DiBiase title reign, assuming they don't vacate the title. Obvious win for Strike Force. I wonder what will happen in the WWF title situation. Good show. I like how close to the actual show it was and that there wasn't anything too far out there. I'm looking forward to your next show.

WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 6th February 1988 Hershey, PA
Vince McMahon, Bruno Sammartino and Jesse "The Body" Ventura were on commentary for this smoking edition of Superstars of Wrestling tonight, from the Hersheypark Arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania. But Jesse wasn't in too much of a good mood, particularly after Vince read out an announcement from President Jack Tunney, prohibiting any reference to what went down at the Main Event last night between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant! Jesse wanted to rant about it, and he did so all night; but every time he brought it up, he was censored with a digital "BEEP"! Vince McMahon later read a memo sent from Jack Tunney, stating that this situation would all be cleared up on Monday, on Prime Time Wrestling.
In this week's showcase match announced from last week, we saw "Mr Wonderful" Paul Orndorff mix it up with "Ravishing" Rick Rude in singles action, as Rude went right to work on the neck, also trying to parody Orndorff's somewhat narcissistic in-ring behavior throughout. Whenever Orndorff got in control, Rude managed to overtake him, of course with the assistance of his manager, Bobby "the Brain" Heenan! Orndorff eventually fired back though, showing a lot of heart, and he went for the Piledriver - just for Hercules to hit the ring! Hernandez attacked Orndorff, giving him the disqualification victory, and Hercules went right to work on Orndorff, applying the full nelson as Rude joined in the beatdown; but the Ultimate Warrior suddenly made the save! Warrior chased off the Heenan Family members, as Warrior appeared to have an apetite for the powerful Hercules.
Also in action, was Don "the Rock" Muraco, who made short work of Omar Mijares tonight. Muraco dominated Mijares, putting him away with the Muraco Hammer in yet another impressing showing. Muraco's been racking up the wins lately, and it looks like "Superstar" Billy Graham's guidance has changed the former dastardly adversary from Sunset Beach, Hawaii. What's next for "The Rock"?
This week on the WWF Event Center with Craig DeGeorge, we heard from the WWF Ladies Champion Sensational Sherri, and her coarse opinion of championship contender on Tuesday night, Rockin' Robin. Additionally, "Ravishing" Rick Rude discussed his upcoming match with Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, stating that Brutus would not be shredding up his gorgeous hair. The show will take place on Tuesday night, live from the New Haven Coliseum from New Haven, Connecticut! Also on the WWF Event Center, DeGeorge revealed the venue and the setting for this year's wrestling extravaganza, WrestleMania IV! This year, the show emanates from the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey on March 27th, 1988! Tickets for the supershow are on sale now!
The Junkyard Dog was also in action tonight on the Superstars of Wrestling, as the notorious JYD took on uprising star on the live event circuit, Dusty Wolf. Wolf tried to match up with the Junkyard Dog, but Dog came out victorious against the Wolf following the big THUMP! JYD was a happy man tonight, but what he didn't know was that the "Outlaw" Ron Bass had a few words for him, Bass not a happy man after being eliminated from the Royal Rumble battle royal several weeks ago by the JYD! He sent a message to the Dog, warning him that he was coming after him.
Speaking of the Royal Rumble, various highlights from the Rumble were shown, one of which being the World Record attempt prepared by the Canadian Dino Bravo, who managed to lift an astonishing 715lb weight - though only with the assistance of one Jesse Ventura. Bravo claimed the lift to have been a success, proclaiming himself as "Canada's Stongest Man". What an egotist. As well as Bravo breaking records, the Jumping Bomb Angels broke a record on January 26th as well, ending the eighteen month-long reign of the now-former WWF Women's Tag Team Champions, Judy Martin and Leilani Kai!
The Bolsheviks were in a xenophobic mood as always on Superstars this week, Nikolai Volkoff happily singing the Russian National Anthem to the appall of this capacity crowd in Hershey. The Bolsheviks then made short work of Brian Costello, not even allowing Costello to get the tag to his partner, Gary Starr; as the Bolsheviks nailed the backbreaker/elbow combination for the victory.
Taking a step away from the heavyweights in the World Wrestling Federation, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat was in action against Gino Carabello, and despite Carabello's best efforts to try and put away Steamboat, the former WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion managed to finish Carabello with a diving axe handle off the top, scoring the win. But as Steamboat celebrated, King Harley Race and Bobby Heenan appeared in an insert, Race calling Steamboat out on being "one of the finest wrestlers in the United States today". Race told Steamboat that he wouldn't be able to walk if he got in the ring with him!
Also, we were joined by the British Bulldogs, who offered an update on the condition of their mascot, Matilda following a dognapping from the despicable Islanders, Tama and Haku. Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid stressed that Matilda was in a bad way having lost weight, but stated that they'd make the Islanders feel exactly how Matilda's feeling right now, when they next see them!
And lastly, in the final match of the night, the One Man Gang demolished Jack Gray and pancaked him on the mat with the Gourdbuster! The "Doctor of Style" Slick was at ringside as always, and he offered some words to one, Bam Bam Bigelow in an insert. Slick told Bigelow that there was only room for one big man in the World Wrestling Federation, and Bigelow hasn't got it. Slick challenged Bigelow to put those big fists up against the One Man Gang, and prepared to be destroyed in the ring, one-two-three! The One Man Gang was certainly oozing with confidence. QUICK RESULTS: - Paul Orndorff def. Rick Rude by disqualification - Don Muraco def. Omar Mijares - The Junkyard Dog def. Dusty Wolf - The Bolsheviks def. Brian Costello & Gary Starr - Ricky Steamboat def. Gino Carabello - The One Man Gang def. Jack Gray

I like how they censored Jesse. It's a nice touch. Perhaps an Orndorff/Warrior vs. Hercules/Rude match is in our future? An easy win for Muraco. I like the fact that Graham's guidance has helped him a bit. I'l be interested to see how he is used. Perhaps against HTM for the IC Title? An another obvious win, this time for JYD. A JYD and Ron Bass feud has potential. I like the team of The Bolsheviks, so I'm happy to see them get the win. An obvious win for Steamboat, but I loved the call out from Race. I think those two could put on a great series of matches if given the chance. I'm very excited at the possibility of the Steamboat/Race feud. Should be good. An easy win for the OMG. I would love to see a feud between Bam Bam and OMG. Two great, bi guy, wrestlers fighting it out. An alright show. I did what it was supposed to do. I am very interested in the way you posted the show. I find the format very different and a breathe of fresh air. It's nice to see a show posted that doesn't look like very other diary out there.

I like old school diaries and so far this looks good. Your format for Superstars is accurate, which is something a lot of people mess up on. I like some of the feuds you got going on, especially Race/Steamboat and Bass/JYD, the later should be a hard hitting feud.

WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 7th February 1988 Salisbury, MD
Vince McMahon welcomed us to this exciting edition of the Wrestling Challenge, reminding us of the timultuous events that went down on Friday night at the Main Event; further instating that an update is set to be given by President Jack Tunney tomorrow night on Prime Time Wrestling, but all public discussion has been prohibited on this program tonight.
This week's edition started off in a big way with our showcase match, the Ultimate Warrior stepping toe-to-toe with Hercules as Bobby "the Brain" Heenan had a few choice words for the Warrior prior to the match. Hercules and Warrior exchanged blows, but suddenly Warrior burst out with energy in this mass test of strength challenge. Hercules left the ring and returned with his trademark chain, nailing Warrior in the head with it! Hercules continued the beatdown on Warrior, but Warrior soon got back up and fired back with a big clothesline sending Hercules out of the ring! Hercules was irate and began to leave with Heenan, whilst Warrior incredibly ripped the chain to pieces before Hercules' very eyes!
Craig DeGeorge reminded us that Atlantic City, New Jersey; the host to such phenomenons as Mike Tyson, Tony Bennett, Anita Burker and Chuck Mangione would now play host to being the home of WrestleMania IV! Tickets for the event on sale now.
Up next, we saw the Islanders in action against Rex King and Jerry Gray, although Bobby Heenan was not in the corner of the dominant Haku and Tama, due to what went down moments ago, in fact it was noted that a brawl had taken place backstage between the Ultimate Warrior and Hercules, with Heenan allegedly trying to stop it! Haku and Tama made short work of Gray and King, as a ripped up dog collar was shown hanging over the top turnbuckle in the corner of the Islanders; perhaps from the evil dognapping of Matilda, the dogs of the British Bulldogs. The Islanders wrapped up King with a big double suplex for the win.
Bobby "the Brain" Heenan rejoined us out here in the arena after the match, as Vince McMahon was able to catch a word with Heenan about what just went down with the Ultimate Warrior and Hercules! Bobby stated that Hercules mauled Warrior like the little punk that he was, because stating that he was excited because of what went down on Friday night. Vince reminded Heenan of the ban that was on discussion of the Main Event, but Heenan started talking about it anyway, Vince forcing us into a commercial!
The Killer Bees were also in action tonight on the Wrestling Challenge, taking on the duo of Gino Carabello and Brian Costello. "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell started off with some high-flying antics, managing to get the better of Carabello, whereas B. Brian Blair also inputted some work, the two working the arm of Carabello before putting Carabello away with the Bee Stinger!
Someone that wasn't in action tonight however, was Bad News Brown, who in an exclusive promo revealed that the good news was that he wasn't in action tonight: but the bad news was that Bad News was back!
Craig DeGeorge also promoted WWF Magazine, which featured an article asking the question: can Billy Jack Haynes and Ken Patera put away Demolition? Demolition and Mr Fuji were then interviewed by DeGeorge, as Ax and Smash stated that they could not, talking about the intense training in which Fuji had placed them under. After what Fuji puts them through, nobody in the ring can face the Ax and the Smasher! Apparently this match will be taking place on the live event circuit this week.
King Harley Race took on Brady Boone in a complete mix of styles, as Brady Boone tried to get in some offense against the King, but alas he was unable to topple the self-proclaimed King of professional wrestling, Race cutting him off with a sharp running knee-lift. Race's comments towards Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat from Superstars of Wrestling were shown, as Race finally managed to put Boone away with the fisherman suplex.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund welcomed us to an exclusive interview with the winner of the 1988 Royal Rumble, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, who was accompanied as always by his trusty 2x4. Jim talked about how winning the Royal Rumble match, and how it was made possible because he was in the glorious United States! Duggan then talked about how he'll be facing the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase this week on the live event circuit: and he knows what has been going on with him since Friday night, and he doesn't like it. And if Virgil wants to get anywhere close to him, he's going to eat the 2x4, HOOOO!
REPLAY FROM SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING: We were joined by the British Bulldogs, who offered an update on the condition of their mascot, Matilda following a dognapping from the despicable Islanders, Tama and Haku. Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid stressed that Matilda was in a bad way having lost weight, but stated that they'd make the Islanders feel exactly how Matilda's feeling right now, when they next see them!
"The Doctor of Style" Slick was extremely pleased tonight, dancing his way down to the ring as his client, "The Natural" Butch Reed was up for singles action against David Stoudimiere, who tried to get the better side of Reed, just for Reed to further incorporate his unorthodox style into the match, before putting away Stoudimiere with the impressive gorilla press slam! Meanwhile, "Superstar" Billy Graham and "The Rock" Don Muraco talked about when Reed and Slick had the One Man Gang injure Billy Graham late last year, and how Muraco had Reed's number and was after him!
Bobby "the Brain" Heenan once again tried to approach Vince McMahon with an announcement from Andre the Giant, but was censored for it! Heenan walked away furious.
REPLAY FROM SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING: Various highlights from the Rumble were shown, one of which being the World Record attempt prepared by the Canadian Dino Bravo, who managed to lift an astonishing 715lb weight - though only with the assistance of one Jesse Ventura.
In our final match of this edition of Wrestling Challenge, the Hart Foundation were in action against Omar Atlas and Rick Hunter, as "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart trumpeted on from ringside. Vince McMahon reminded us of how Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart cost "Macho Man" Randy Savage the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship at the Main Event, aiding the Honky Tonk Man in retaining the title belt. The "Hitman" and the "Anvil" worked well as a team, proving to everyone why they are former WWF World Tag Team Champions, before swiftly putting away Atlas with the Hart Attack! Meanwhile, an insert promo aired from the Honky Tonk Man himself, as he talked about how gracious he is for the Hart Foundation's help on Friday night; but it would have still happened had Bret and Jim weren't there! Honky stated that he if Savage was to face him again, he'd put him away just like that! But he won't, because Savage doesn't deserve this title again! QUICK RESULTS: - The Ultimate Warrior def. Hercules by disqualification - The Islanders def. Rex King & Jerry Gray - The Killer Bees def. Gino Carabello & Brian Costello - King Harley Race def. Brady Boone - Butch Reed def. David Stoudimiere - The Hart Foundation def. Omar Atlas & Rick Hunter
