So yeah its been many years since, Maine has had a Tornado. This all happend on friday. 2 people were struck by lightning and were killed. Was some serious crap.
To add to this my work lost power, and we had to pull all of the refrigerated products out of the coolers and such.
SO to make this thread worth while, what types of natural disaster have you been in? Or seen?

I remember hearing all the tornado warnings last night. I live in New Hampshire, so If a tornado ripped through Maine, it could potentially end up down here. All the tornado warnings here were called off shortly after they were issued last night. We did have some pretty sever thunderstorms late last night, though.
As far as natural disasters go, the worst thing my area is faced with is floods, they usually occur yearly, but they didn't happen at all this year.

Worse things in Chicago I've encountered are fierce winds and severe thunderstorms. Those two mixed together, whoo, makes me glad my house is brick.

It's the most exciting thing to happen to Maine since they stopped being part of Massachussetts.
Round these parts, we don't get much aside from the occasional blizzard.
Though one time when I was living in RI, we had a hailstorm in the middle of August.

Try waking up to go get your paper only to step in about knee deep water and grabbing the floating paper and going on like normal.

Try waking up to go get your paper only to step in about knee deep water and grabbing the floating paper and going on like normal. When I move to Atlantis I'll make sure to try that. We had snow last month, that was ing weird. We drove to the Warped tour not knowing there was a tornado 100 miles from us. Montana gets the occasional tornado but never where I live, pretty close though. Often I want one to lay this town to waste, to over trow the local government because they deactivated all the air raid sirens that quite frankly we should keep live. We have an air base here and the land around our town contain missiles and we've been targeted by Saddam in the 90s. But it never happens so I guess I'll just move and forget this town exists.
