Hyde is right. But honestly, I think Windows is better all around, including photoshop, but...your choice.

I've only used photoshop once on a mac and it ran slightly faster and didn't hiccup at any point. TBH though if you're just getting a mac for the better use of photoshop it's not worth it.
In general macs are better but there is a compatibility problem.

yeah, programs that were made for one os, and then ported to another, work better, overall, on the original os - i.e. safari, itunes, and, in your case, photoshop.

I used Windows for years. I started out using Photoshop on Windows and all I ever heard from graphic artists I knew was "you use it on Windows?" and I didn't see what the big deal was. 2 years ago I started a new job and needed a laptop. I lucked out and they got me a macbook pro with full adobe suite. I will NEVER use Windows for Photoshop or anything else again unless I have to. I still have a PC at home and it's not terrible at all. I've just had less things crash, no viruses, and a better experience with Mac. Until you sit down and use one for about a week you just can't appreciate it. For me anyhow.
