I wonder if he could have gotten more if he put 'Hasbro' in the title.

thats what i was thinking.... if you searched: wwf hasbro hulk hogan...no dice wwf hasbro mail away....no dice
i only found it from the "hulk hogan figure" or "hulk hogan mail away" search terms.
thats why i thought it was a perfect opportunity to win it...but with less than ten seconds....he bid 150....after an unsuccessful bid of 135 with 15 seconds left.
oh well...maybe it wasnt meant to be.....
OHHH...and around july 14th there was a hogan mail away loose that some idiot sold for 45$ "buy it now" i felt like scratching my eyes out!!!!!!!!!! $45!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
peace billy

That's the way eBay goes. It alway annoys me if I get outbid in the last seconds too. Don;t worry though. They'll be more on eBay so you should have plenty of opportunity to get ahold of one.
Btw... there's something odd about that mail away baggie... can't put my finger on it, but it seems messed with.

I am not 100% sure, but the mailer baggie from the auction looks to me like a baggie that Jakks uses for their figures that come with the SAR ring. It appears folded on the left. Clearly though the baggie is completely different to mine. And I KNOW mine is 100% legitimate. I also do not see the red triangle that Hogan has on his yellow wristtape. Auction: Mine: I think it's a fake. You should be glad you were outbid IMO.

i wouldn't say it was a fake but i'd say the sellers just put it in a baggie to try and boost the price....?

Dude, surely you have better things to spend $147 on than a little figure anyway?
Don't let it bother you and spend that money on food and warmth.

so you're on a wrestling figure collectors board making jokes and questioning why i want to buy one of the most sought after wrestling figures in history?
and as far as the bag goes....it does look kinda shady...im not questioning whether the figure is real, but whether or not its in the official p/n bag.
its also looks like it inside another bag, like a ziplock. you can clearly see the word "warning" on it...but it looks too big. and there is also some other text on the inner back that says... do not... do not... or something of that nature.
oh well...wasnt meant to be i guess. I never really cared if it was in the bag or not...just that its MINT, for display purpuoses.
but if this ones bag is fake...and its resealed, then maybe it wouldn't have been in the condition i wanted it to be.
i just won some sweet eagles tickets on ebay to the first game....so that win kinda softens the blow of this big outbid/snipe.

For your information, one of these Mail Away Hogan's is now for sale on a Dutch website, sort of like Ebay.
The guy putting it for sale wants at least USD 112,- for it, unless someone bids a higher price of course.

Dude you'll have plenty of other opportunities to pick one up. Always buy one from its original bag, i wouldnt buy one that states its a mailaway but loose as it could just be a really good custom. Look at STOM's picture, and find one like that. Just to be on the safe side. Any others that look differnt then there is a high chance it is differnt.
Good luck with succesfully bidding on one soon

I'm fairly confident in stating that the figure pictured from that auction is the real mailaway figure, but the bag is not original. It's clearly added to help the price of the auction.
That's actually a harder custom to make than some people would imagine. The skintone of the mailaway is considerably lighter than the very dark tone of the Hulk w/Hulkaplex regular release figure. A person still has to be careful in looking at a photo of a loose mailaway to make sure someone didn't repaint the skintone, but it is probably the safest of the mailaways to buy loose and know that you are getting the real thing.
