how contradicting is it for a band called rise against to be all over pop top 20s? i'm not trying to be an bunghole, but seriously, their name is an attempt to scavenge at a tried and true market of applying to the rebellious youth crowd.
modern life is war > rise against. i suggest anyone give them a listen.

Yeah I find it semi hypocritical though I can't blame success.

They're more political than they are anti-mainstream. It's pretty much impossible to be successful and rebellious, by your standards. I don't find it hypocritical at all.
I'm excited for it. I loved Siren Song of the Counter Culture and Sufferer and the Witness, so I expect this to be nothing less than fantastic.

The new song isn't terrible, but they aren't a punk band anymore. They're really good live. They do what they have to do to get their message across, good for them.
