i remember a couple years back borrowing a marvel graphic novel from a friend inwhich it acts as if superheroes never actually came into the world, and were actually kept by the military or simply ceased to exist. one thing i remember clearly from it is rick jones recounting the explanation of how the hulk came to be, but instead of banner becoming a huge beast, he turned into a mess of bones and tumors and muscle. it was a sweet picture, as in recall
and my other question is simply, did any of you ever two issue series 'the last avengers story'? while i think they kind of tried too hard to make it mature, throwing random obscenities that didn't seem to fit and such, but it was a sick idea and pretty violent at times. ie. when she hulk dies.

None of that rings a bell except the last avengers arc.
Might have seen it going through back issues at a comic store.

found out it the name was ruins, by warren ellis. i should've guessed. if you liked Marvels, you'll enjoy this. it's quite dark though and some don't enjoy it
haha wow, funny that the two comic series i speak of in here, along with 'punisher destroys the marvel universe' which i just purchased, are the only 3 stories that exist in the alterniverse, a project done in 1995.
