This show will feature several matches, promos and possibly an announcement or two. It is basically a show to promote SummerSlam and remind you all of the storylines, why each match is happening, etc. There will be three matches on the pre-show card.
Josh Matthews comes out and welcomes the fans to a fantastic pre-show special. He says that tonight in the Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, we will bare witness to a historic night. He introduces Tazz and Michael Cole at ringside.
Cole: Hello everybody! Welcome to the SummerSlam preview special. I'm Michael Cole and next to me is the Human Suplex Machine, Tazz!
Tazz: Thanks, Cole. Tonight we have a fantastic night in store for you all. Sit back, relax and enjoy the action the WWE superstars put on for you!
Cole: This will be a night like no other! It would appear that Justin Roberts is ready to start the evening's first match..
Justin Roberts is in the ring. He announces that there is 16,000 fans live in the arena and he hopes they are all ready. He introduces to the ring, from Japan... Smackdown!'s #1 announcer, Funaki!
Funaki runs to the ring with a microphone. He has a few t-shirts. He thanks the people in attendance and says he is ready to give some t-shirts away! He throws two to the crowd before music hits over the loudspeakers. Out walks Mordecai, the dark prince.
"It's people like you that poison this industry. People like you that are breaking this world down to the state it is in today. I will not stand by and let this happen. Tonight, I will sacrifice you for the greater good. Tonight, your end is here."

Exhibition Match:
Mordecai vs. Funaki
Funaki immediately baseball slides Mordecai as he climbs into the ring. Mordecai catches his foot and drags him out of the ring. He clotheslines him onto the hard floor below, before lifting him up and ramming him into the steel ringpost. Funaki writhes in pain as Mordecai rolls him into the ring. The bell rings and Mordecai pins him for a two-count. He lifts the smaller man up and throws him into the corner before laying into him with punches. He runs across the ring, before nailing him with a massive big boot. Funaki looks lifeless as Mordecai does a sacrificial-type pose before lifting him up and nailing the Crucifix Bomb before pinning him for a three-count.
Winner: Mordecai

Mordecai stands tall in the ring as the lights dim. He raises his arms and lightning hits all four corners of the ring. He slowly leaves the ring and walks backstage as paramedics help Funaki out of the ring.
Cole: Poor Funaki never had a chance. This guy looks like a force to be reckoned with!
Tazz: Thats an understatement, Cole. I don't know anybody that could stand up to that guy! Whoever he is, he sure made a bold statement tonight.
Backstage:
Teddy Long is shown backstage. Chavo is laughing while chatting up a few local women backstage. Long tells him that he should be using his time wisely, because he has a big match tonight, quite literally. Chavo says that he has everything under control, because tonight, Big Show won't stand a chance.
Backstage:
Tommy Dreamer is shown backstage training for his match at SummerSlam. John "Bradshaw" Layfield walks up to him laughing. He gets right in Dreamer's face and tells him to sit down and relax, because no amount of training can prepare him for the beatdown he will recieve tonight. Dreamer asks for a preview. JBL slaps him and tells him to show some respect. Dreamer laughs before kicking him and throwing him into a wall. He continues to beat down on him, before putting him through a table to the concrete floor below. Styles and Mysterio calm him down and take him away.
Cole: Wow, will JBL even be able to compete at SummerSlam?
Tazz: Well, Cole, he had it coming. Trust me, I've found out the hard way plenty of times, you don't insult Dreamer and get away with it.
Justin Roberts is shown in the ring again. He says that the following match will be held under tag team rules. He introduces to the ring, two former ECW superstars and title holders in WWE, Steven Richards and Nunzio!
*I'LL SHOW YOU. YOU'LL SEE!*
They come to the ring to a loud pop. They high-five fans on the way to the ring before rolling in. Nunzio throws his shirt into the crowd and they pose on the turnbuckles. The Embassy's theme music hits and William Regal and Val Venis appear, with Dave Taylor following behind them (waving a British flag). The crowd boos them heavily and Regal tells them to shut up.

Tag Team Exhibition Match:
Stevie Richards and Nunzio vs. William Regal and Val Venis w/ Dave Taylor
Richards and Regal start in the ring. Regal mouths off at him, before they lock up. Regal takes him to the mat immediately and puts him in an armbar/headlock combo. Richards rolls around, escaping it. He ducks a clothesline from Regal and hits an armdrag, putting him in an armbar. Regal elbows him twice before fighting to his feet. He flips Richards over and tags in Venis, who immediately comes in with two shoulder blocks and a clothesline before pinning Stevie for a two count. He works on Richards' back for awhile, but with the crowd's support, he fights to his feet. He flips Venis over and recovers for a bit.
Venis goes back onto the attack, but Richards dodges a punch and hits an enzuigiri. He struggles to his corner and tags in Nunzio. He flies off the ropes with a crossbody onto Venis. Regal comes in and Nunzio dropkicks him. He ducks a clothesline before kicking Venis and climbing to the top rope. He leaps off, looking for the Sicilian Slicer, but Venis lands a boot on him in mid-air. Venis hits a DDT and pins him. Regal knocks Richards off the apron and Venis gets the victory with his feet on the ropes.
Winners: William Regal and Val Venis

Dave Taylor celebrates with them and grabs a microphone. He tells the crowd that they just proved their dominance here and that later tonight, they will again when Paul Burchill and Harry Smith win the Tag Team Championships. The crowd boos them as Venis grabs the microphone. "Sorry, folks... Thats just...the way...it is!".
Cole: They could be right, Tazz. They have all proven they are a force, and when you got men that close all with the same mindset, its a dangerous opponent to be in the ring with.
Tazz: That's exactly right, Cole. I've been in the ring with Taylor, Regal and Venis and I know they can go. It's just that they must keep focused, if they do that, there's a good chance they could walk out as our Tag Team Champions!
Backstage:
Ultimo Dragon walks over to Juventud and Super Crazy. They go to walk away after saying sorry for last week but he tells them to stay. He says that they may have attacked him, but he see's it as competition. He says he respects them for not sucking up to him. He says he hopes they have a great match tonight and that the better man will walk out as champion. They all shake hands.

"Six hungry athletes. One unforgiving chamber. Three tonnes of steel. Cold. Hard. One championship on the line. The World Heavyweight Championship. Blood will spill. Bodies will bruise. The men... will never be the same."
Backstage:
Teddy Long is shown backstage. He says he has an announcement to make. John "Bradshaw" Layfield has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and as such cannot participate in the United States title match at SummerSlam. He says that seeing as JBL started it, no action will be taken towards Tommy Dreamer. He also says that he will find a suitable replacement for the match.
In The Ring:
Justin Roberts is in the ring. He announces that the following match will be a fatal fourway match and that the winner of the match will recieve the first United States Championship shot next week on Smackdown! against whoever wins the SummerSlam match.

He somersaults between them and takes them down with a double clothesline. Kingston comes back in and clotheslines Doane over the ropes. Bourne dropkicks MVP out of the ring. Bourne swings under his arm on the return and nails a spinning headscissors. He pins him but Doane breaks up the count. He beats down on Bourne with blows to the back.
