Sweet collection and comparisons!!! Very jealous of your LJN collection!!! Thanks! I still want to get my hands on that Slaughter figure. Even if it wasn't made by LJN it would be a great figure to have.

As to who might Mattel make a figure of next, aside from the already announced Harley Race, I think Greg Valentine and Haku are the most likely to be made. If things improve between Koko & WWE, I think that the Mattel Koko figure will see the light of day, especially since its pretty much ready to go. From what was posted on here a while back by someone (can't remember who), the Koko figure supposedly was further along in production then Warlord and Berzerker which means it must have been close to going into production. The biggest void in the Golden Era collection as relates to LJN figures IMO has to be The British Bulldogs. Unfortunately, I am not very confident that we will ever see Mattel figures of them due to WWE and Dynamite Kid being on bad terms- hope I am proven wrong. Man, having The British Bulldogs would be great. You're right about Haku and Valentine. I feel like those are just a matter of time. I would love a Hercules. And not the Power and Glory version, but the longer hair Hercules Hernandez with the leather gear and bracers. I think it would make for a great looking figure. I find it odd that we haven't gotten a Fuji yet. If gives him a removable hat and a real cloth robe, then we could have a Fuji in his tux and hat, that then becomes Fuji managing Yokozuna by removing the hat and covering up his tux with he robe.

To this day it pisses me off that the LJN Orndorff didn’t have knee pads. As a kid I never noticed but now I can't unsee it! Ignorance was bliss.

absolutely great project - really appreciate the work/time that went into doing these comparison pics. There's definitely a few more LJN's I'd love Mattel to tackle (like Haku!). You really see how wrestling figures have evolved over 35+ years! Thanks! They've definitely evolved and it's still great to see how timeless those LJN figures were. Besides Hogan, Andre, and SD Jones, you only got one version of a figure. So every new release was exciting because it meant a new character.

I love this idea! I hope it works out for you. If you're comfortable with sculpting and painting, you may be able to use Apoxie Sculpt to make the hair too.
I'd love to see the finished product when you're done.

Does anyone know if the JR head and hat would look good on hhh suited BP torso originally with Bryan? Any help opinions would be appreciated. Here you go. The HHH body is taller and more muscular. I suggest using a Paul Bearer body if you have one or can find it. It's the same size and shape as the one used for JR. The Heyman suggestions would work great too.

For those interested, here's how the upcoming blue Honky jumpsuit from Mattel compares to the blue Jakks jumpsuit on the red Mattel Honky. Some differences: - Mattel suit is darker. Jakks is lighter. - Jakks jumpsuit uses more colored notes. Some are yellow compared to Mattel being all red. - More collar lines on the Jakks version. Red notes on the collar with Mattel. - Mattel uses silver lines, Jakks uses white. - the back image seems a bit different between the versions. - Jakks version has white dot designs throughout the jumpsuit. Any other difference you all notice? Close up of the back of the Jakks version Jakks jumpsuit on Mattel Honky with he IC belt

I recall seeing a lot of posts of people saying Eddie wasn't wearing this attire when he won the CW Championship at Fall Brawl 1997. True. He was wearing it when he fought Syxx in a ladder match at the January 1997 Souled Out PPV www.wwe.com/videos/eddie-guerrero-vs-syxx-cruiserweight-championship-ladder-match-nwo-souled-out-january-25-1997A ppv in which WWE refers to the United States Title as the Cruiserweight Title. Perhaps Mattel got confused. Guerrero technically won the title that night as Syxx had stolen it a while back. The US title looks more like the earlier WWE Cruiserweight Title than the Original WCW Cruiserweight Title does. So maybe they got their wires crossed? Wow, great find!

And the only other two old ones are the big eagle and 2010 tag titles. The rest are all just current championships I think it's interesting that they don't show the current white strap IC title, or the older black strap version, but they chose to show the old WCW Cruiserweight and the current WWE cruiserweight.

PVA hahaha it's all good... I bought Mattels as well and I agree, Axe's facepaint is better. Mattel's is all white. if they would have added the specs of color he really had it would have been sooooo good. Also, I'd love to see your WM7! The head on that one is what keeps that figure from being higher up on my favorites list. The paint is dull and the hair is completely inaccurate. Cyan Thank you! Some of the shelves get harder to organize when you have a lot of figures from 1 year but not enough for 2 shelves and have to cram them all on 1 shelf, or on the flip side when you don't have too many from say a 3 year span so you have to really stretch years to fill a shelf. I also have certain matches, feuds, or moments I want to display which can mess up the time frames as well. For example, I wanted Mega Maniacs and Ultimate Maniacs all front row together but I define 1993 as the start of the New Gen so I used Money Inc. as the common bond since that's who they both faced. Or The Shield... I have the 3 pack together on the right and then each guy's solo look on the left. Stuff like that... Love it. It's crazy how those display challenges are real. Trying to figure out the best way to display that not only makes you happy, but makes sense in terms of what you're trying to accomplish. I might use your pics as a guide to reorganize my display.

Wow, great collection! I love how you have them set up by years. Such a cool way to see how things have evolved.

I haven't done the swap but it looks like you pop off the arms and head, slide the red coat on, pop in arms, pop the head back on. Disappointed that the red coat doesn't have the the old WWF logo on it. Scratching my head on why you would need to pop the head off to slip the jacket on? I just thought it would be a bit easier. His head pops off easily but I’m sure you could do it with his head still on.

Good call! I didn't even think about him the AWA. Now you have me wanting to throw an AWA decal on that red coat and put it on him. Thinking about doing the same. Likely will end up getting three Mean Gene figures. One of each of these attires and one to put on BAF Fink tux. Thinking about doing the same. Likely will end up getting three Mean Gene figures. Those are great pics, I am glad we are getting a Mean Gene figure and he turned out very well. My only complaint is, and it is minor, I wish they could use the old school WWF logo for his jacket and mic (as well as for The Finks mic in the build-a-figure line). Even with that, it is still my favorite suited figure Mattel has released. Oh, you mean with he actual "F" in the logo instead of just the "WW"? I agree, I'd love that. But I am happy they gave us what they could.
