It hit me this past week leading up to Rumble weekend how quickly this is coming up. I grabbed my tickets back in November during the pre-sale, and suddenly, I had to stop and appreciate that I was making calls and arrangements to cover ground while I'm away for the weekend. I think it hit my traveling companion as well. We tend to go long spells without touching base just on account of life, and no sooner had I arranged a sitter for Sunday so my wife could avoid burning time off while I'm gone, he began blowing up my phone discussing travel logistics and such. I'm fully expecting this to be as close to a religious experience as I'm able to encounter in 2019. I missed XIV back in '98 on account of some combination of being a) twelve years old, and b) probably grounded from wrestling. Naturally, that was WrestleMania's first, and likely last stop in Boston, so I largely regard this whole trip as reconciliation 21 years in the making. Driving in Saturday morning. Hopefully doing an early Axxess session, as I'm sure that's due to finally be announced any day now (right?!). Check into the AirBNB once that's done, and if time allows, we may try and cheap seat the Hall of Fame. Seeya in the cheap(ish) seats! Hate to break it to ya, but Hall of Fame is Friday....TakeOver is Saturday bud.

I said this in the Raw thread and I'll repeat it here. The more I think about it, the more intrigued I am by the possibility of a Triple H/Dean Ambrose feud leading to a WM match. I hope that wasn't a tease last night that is forgotten about come next week. Most certainly a tease to build up Rollins, he lost clean and HHH didn't interfere. So, don't get your hopes up.

I'm interested to see who faces Bryan for the title. I would have thought Cena, but it looks like he's lined up with McIntytre

I love Gargano got in, but I would have changed them out with different NXT guys.
1. Ricochet for No Way Jose 2. Velveteen Dream for Johnny Gargano 3. EC3 for Curt Hawkins 4. Matt Riddle for Shelton Benjamin
If they would have had those guys in the Rumble instead, you are introducing your next MEGA-STARS to the audience and giving them a taste early. By doing this you also put eyes on NXT. I'm sorry but Johnny Wrestling and Pete Dunne are bound for 205 Live, not the main roster. So why not give them the rub and early recognition.
That stadium would have exploded if Velveteen Dream or Ricochet would have come out.

Let me start off by saying trying to watch pro-wrestling from 5pm-12am is a ridiculous task, maybe even a chore. WWE needs to go back to brand specific PPV's to eliminate the need of trying to fit everyone on each PPV, it's a mess and a huge burden to the show. Onto the show..... - All three women's matches outshined the men's matches 110%. Didn't quite understand why they had Becky tap, but I'm glad they didn't go with Charlotte in the Rumble.
- Did not enjoy the AJ/Bryan match. It had no heat or pacing, and the ending was just straight up weird, and will not work. It was so random and Rowan is so lack of skill that there's no possible way this ends well.
- I've grown apathetic towards Lesnar. I don't hate him, he just exists and offers nothing of substance anymore. Didn't understand the post match beatdown either? If the plan is Rollins/Brock, why not just let Brock steamroll Braun for the thousandth time? Braun's already been pushed to the midcard, so another Lesnar loss won't hurt.
- The men's Royal Rumble was atrocious. I enjoyed the Jarrett/Elias spot but other than that it sucked. To have the roster they have, and continue to waste spots on people who won't be on television for 2 months is pointless. No reason to waste spots on all three members of New Day, No Way Jose, Hawkins, Shelton Benjamin, or Nia Jax (which just sucked horribly).
- I enjoyed Rollins winning, but he had no heat and the crowd didn't really care, hell his celebration looked like he didn't really care either.
The match layout of this show was pretty bad as well. Wish they wouldn't have front-loaded the show with the women, as they were the most compelling matches. If it were up to me, I would have laid it out like this:
- Asuka v. Becky Lynch
- Men's Royal Rumble Match
- Styles v. Bryan
- Rousey v. Banks
- Balor v. Lesnar
- Miz/Shane v. The Bar
- Women's Royal Rumble

Jerry Lawler recently said in an interview that he, Cole and JBL will call the Men's Rumble match this year. I ing hate JBL. Guess I'll be listening to the Spanish announcer team like i did with the womens rumble last year. It should be Graves, Cole, and Phillips. May as well mute the tv when Lawler is on. All he will do is squeal and squeak .

Man, I enjoy that RAW has been getting different with some fresh matchups and segments. Yet, they don't make any sense and are really stupid.
* They horribly debuted a few of the NXT call ups. To debut EC3 in a pop up corner promo was awful. Nikki Cross being on RAW makes no sense at all and didn't seem right. She is far better suited for SDL (Sanity being there is key, plus she will mesh rather well with Becky, Asuka, etc...). Heavy Machinery is now Dead on Arrival thanks to a goofy ass stalker gimmick.
You mean to tell me they couldn't figure out any way to integrate these new talents better?

Excited to see what talent jumps from WWE/NJPW to AEW once contracts are up. Id have to imagine that we get quite a few notables. My guesses are: Kenny Omega Shinsuke Nakamura Finn Balor Anderson & Gallows Revival Tye Dillinger Roderick Strong Pentagon Fenix Brian Pillman Jr. I don’t know where you would get Roddy being disgruntled? His wife works there, he has said in interviews this is the first time in his life he has ever gotten paid to be a wrestler and not have a second job. He is in one of the most over acts in the company and I’m sure makes major merch money, he has had the tag belts a year, he been a main event upper tier guy in NXT since he got there. I also think Shinsuke is 100% where he wants to be at this point in his career, mostly doing the hits and making money, and Finn they finally seem to be pushing the right way and I like him but he def seems like a razor Ramon type always near the top but not a top guy kinda act. I see Strong there because of the healthcare and comparable money. I doubt he is raking major cash as an NXT midlevel talent, and to be fair, they've already shown his ceiling on the main show, which is 205 Live. If he gets paid decent money for AEW, plus healthcare, I can see him definitely jumping. Shinsuke and Finn are basically in the same boat. Being used at the top of midcard, but never really in the main event, and their ceilings seem capped off where they are. They will get paid good money in AEW, work with familiar people, and have a significantly reduced schedule. Lets face it, these guys aren't necessarily young, may as well go somewhere to be top dogs and work less than kill yourself working 300 days.

*Cena/Taker at WM XXX would have been the biggest match of all time. *Flair/Hogan *HHH/HBK (One-on-One) *Edge/Christian *Orton/Edge (WM 23) *Hogan/Austin *Cena/Austin *Austin/Lesnar

Guarantee WWE will put Charlotte in at #1 and have her obliterate everyone and main event against Rousey, being the one to defeat Ronda. Uggggghhhhhhhhh Let's hope so. I'm tired of this Becky Lynch 'the man', nonsense already. Riiiiggghhhhtttt......Because Charlotte's character is so innovative and enthralling. Its bad enough she looks exactly like her dad but with giant crooked bolt ons, but to go full out RF with the silly ass robes, stupid strut, and horrible "wooing."

I dont buy the Balor comparison. His fans shouldn't be outraged because he is used perfectly. He is a big enough name to just throw out there, but literally has zero charisma and believability to be a major player.
I think with Kenny he has a snarky charisma and a powerful move set that will let him hang with the big boys if he decides to. He looked like a million bucks with Okada and Jericho. My only worry is he is iffy on the mic.

Calling it (like I did a few weeks back on twitter): We've had Chyna, Karma, Beth Phoenix and other women enter the Royal Rumble. I'm calling (because WWE will not date book the women's main event at Mania without Charlotte Flair): 1. Women's Royal Rumble starts after the WWE Championship and Universal Championship take place. Charlotte win the Women's Royal Rumbley. This occurs when R Truth tries to enter at Number 30 causing a huge distraction leading to Charlotte eliminating Becky. Charlotte subsequently wins it, 2. More matches happen. 3. Men's RR main events. As R Truth enters at 30, Becky takes out Truth, and enters at number 30. Tosses out John Cena again to win the Men's Royal Rumble. McMahons grant her entry into a Triple Threat match against Flair and Rousey for the title. This is actually genius, but my problem with this is that it takes the 2 biggest women off of SDL and leaves nobody for Asuka. That's why I tend to think Becky or Charlotte will go one on one, but same token, I can't imagine WWE loosening their grip on Charlotte being shoved down everyone's throat

Surprised that AJ winning the Rumble and facing Lesnar isn't an option. All of the matches with Brock have been great and having AJ on Raw could really freshen up the show.

It absolutely needs to be two hours. Like others have said, have a pre-show on the Network at 8 p.m. and sell advertising there. If they make the pre-show like Heat was in the late 90's (advance feuds, attacks, etc...) people will tune in for sure.
Raw Pre-Show (WWE Network/8pm) Monday Night Raw (USA/9-11:05)
I mean, they would be saving themselves by not having to write a whole hour of "new" content, and can focus on the 2 hour show. SmackDown is barely considered "good" content right now, but because of the pacing and the writers abilities to basically rotate talent on television, it does not seem like a chore to watch.
Also, outside of Graves, the commentary crew for Raw is absolutely horrendous. Rene is robotic and is clearly still learning, and Cole is just Cole (aka Vince's repetitive puppet).

I'm at a point now with WWE that I cant even watch it anymore. Everything is wash, rinse, repeat.
Braun will cost Lesnar the win, Dean will interfere and end the Rollins/Nak match in DQ, and Becky will lose easily.
Why even watch anymore

Bryan and Charlotte
Miz will win the title at TLC or Rumble, setting up the big Bryan redemption story.
Charlotte v. Rousey, I could care less already. But, its the only money match left, unless somehow Asuka gets the nod versus Ronda, but that is slim to none.
