Anyone else bothered by the punkrockmba youtube guy making a video about what killed nu-metal, and he doesn't even like the genre...
hasn't it been buried enough?

I thought Excalibur did awesome at All In, would rather have him and Schivone then JR. bring back mike tenay and Schiavone! just kidding, but I do love the professor. Scott Hudson is probably still around too... What do yall think the reasoning is on picking the commentary team? Are they looking for moves to be called, just a throwback voice, a bit of color and move calling? I ask, because I know there has to be a reason for the choice of JR, even though it baffles me.

JR just said on his podcast he's been in talks with AEW and a deal should be done in the next few days, he'd be contributing by calling action at ringside. Man I have not liked his commentating as much lately. Hopefully he gets that pep back in his step and enjoys it again.

Hello all,
I have been in a bit of a reflective mood lately after watching Kindness Diaries, which had me thinking about inspiration; what inspires me and what I have done, or can do, to inspire or help others? What inspires you all? Have you done anything to inspire others, even just a kind gesture lately? If you wouldn't mind sharing, I think it would be a cool thing to see from as many who are willing.
People like say Craigslist Joe, or Leon from Kindness Diaries, inspire me in that they show me how the world can be, and how free the world has the ability to be if you have the courage to venture out there. Freegans too. John Walsh showed me one person can try to save the world, and actually do it. My family inspires me to believe in myself. Granted there are many more people and ideas I draw inspiration from, but not necessary. Though, I would be remiss if I didn't say Einstein....I want to be that smart. And the WF poster, The Metal King, Chris Reager. For those of you here that interacted with Chris Reager, I am sure he inspired yall like he did me. He was a kind soul whom never minded sharing his knowledge and a kind uplifting word to anyone. He deserved a special shoutout. Miss you Reager. \m/
I live a mundane life, but try to implement these things a tad, to maybe push my life in the direction to be able to help others one day. I don't do much to inspire, currently, but hopefully that changes soon. I try to make people smile randomly, try to talk to them when they are down, or thank them for just talking with me and being good, nice people. I want them to know that what they do is appreciated and matters. I had a guy come up and give me some love for my shirt at dinner the other night, and if I could have afforded it, I wanted to buy his and his mom's meals, but I couldn't, and that was a bad feeling, even in a good thought. The dichotomy of life.
Anyhoo, I look forward to seeing what you all have to say. Thank you guys here for being kind to me and interacting with these weird threads I make. There are some fantastic thoughts and minds in this place, past and present. Have a nice day. Much love.

I always want Mojo to be fired. Even after he gets fired, I'd want them to rehire him just to fire him all over again. That is so brutal I laughed....

Those look awesome. $40 doesn't seem outrageous, even though maybe a tad high....

My 2 standard answers to this are Sick Nick Mondo's return to CZW to help Rory, and Super Dragon's return a couple years ago in PWG. If it has to be WWE though, has to be Austin related, though the crowd chant against Edge for Matt Hardy at ECW ONS was loud.

BTW, I saw a video of AAA doing an alliance with All Elite Wrestling. Im a bit surprised cause not long ago, AAA sent guys over to Impact for their Mexico tapings. Maybe AEW and Impact also form a working relationship? Time will tell, but even though i do criticize AAA a bit cause their booking is all over the place, i actually like this alliance. The way Dorian Roldan put it, they might do a show together. I mean, this alliance is not something we haven't seen and its not going to "change the world of wrestling " like they keep advertising, but I like it. There's guys in AAA that I'm really inpressed with, so Im looking forward to seeing where AAA leads with AEW We need Cibernetico in an american ring.

I do too, but there are a couple options for us fans of the genre. We can do the nu-metalcore route, or some of the new wave of Nu-metal, or we can explore the genre and discover new bands that were killing it back then and we didn't even know it. I am hoping to one day finish making my database of all the nu metal american and canadian bands that I can track down, so I can have more to listen too. I do that too. I take note of the most obscure bands I hear and try and put them into genres. Not 100% sure what bands could be nu-metal nowadays like you said "nu-metalcore" maybe Motionless In White? Cane Hill? Papa Roach are still going too. New album actually. Have you checked it out yet? I have been meaning to respond to you. I would say Cane Hill, Ded, Motionless (maybe), and many others are nu-metalcore. I actually found a long list the other day of that subgenre someone built. I can pass that along if you'd like. IIRC "Zombie Shark Records" of Europe is bringing back nu-metal truly. Amerikan Overdose, Terror Universal, A Killer's Confession (maybe...Mushroomhead's ex vocalist), and Dirty Machine are all close to it. I did hear that one P Roach track off the new album, but wasn't big on it. I kind of lost track of them after Paramore Sessions, even though I loved that album. I still bump Infest though. Currently Nonpoint and Anew Revolution are a couple of my rotation to work. Anything new you found? (this one's for Reager!) \m/ \m/ VPV

Since there are several people that dislike the AEW talk, maybe for the sake of all, why don't we push it all over to the other thread where those of us that like to discuss all the cool possibilities and such can do it with a positive surrounding. The true criticism is good, but the negativity is kind of a bummer.

I hope the Brock meeting rumor isn't real. We don't need those problems....I read enough fans hating his schedule already anyways.

This is all speculation. Contract details haven’t been leaked anywhere. Not officially but Janela, Cody , and Meltzer have talked about different deals they have and specifically how Janela can keep wrestling for PWG and GCW, but he was done with MLW. I was also at the MLW tapings last night and it did seem that they wrote off MJF, Pentagon and Fenix. This is the only qualm I have with AEW. (I am an AEW Homer.) I thought they knew how that felt, and didn't want to stop talent working other places? Is MLW that big? This needs to be a united wrestling world, not split and conquer.

Anyone else think we need a nu-metal type subgenre to reintroduce these kids to rock, bridging that rap and rock gap? I really miss the nu-metal genre.
