I don't know how to upload images here so if anyone can help do that, great...but I found this www.instagram.com/ringsidec/p/Cu5m2LmJ-U3/?img_index=1 from back at SDCC - how did we go from that Scott Hall to what we are seeing pop up online and in hand now? The colour of the denim is way better, far more accurate and the pony tail head is also way better with darker beard and the face looks better. I've asked Steve if there could be a running change because if so, I'd much rather hold out - I assume the height wouldn't be any better but this would still be a big upgrade.

That's insane wow. If I could fit an entire elite scale ring on a shelf that would be a game changer. Didn't even consider the besta -- thank you! Are the shelves that the rings are sitting on native to the besta or did you add those on? They do fit on but overhang by 1/4 so I added some slim shelf extensions so it was sitting on something. I used the IKEA Skadis pegboard which worked really well. Can I ask which Besta shelves they are? Seems to be a lot in the range, are they the wall mounted cabinets?

I'm excited for more macho man figures but damn between zombie and mitch signing the same guys how long until something gives. Not sure he’ll be able to surpass Zombies series on Macho coming but my main worry is that maybe Mattel and WWE aren’t any closer to getting his rights back

I used the glasses from BAF JJ Flair to complete OMG. I think it looks great! Sorry for the potato of a picture. Looks great! Really surprised Zombie didn’t include glasses with him.

If this was the only choice and they knew full well the scale wouldn’t work, they should have scrapped Hall and either moved him to later in the series where they could invest the money into making it properly or scrapped it all together and do a UE down the line. He’s going to look ridiculous next to the Nash that’s coming in series 2. It’s a store exclusive they aren’t investing in new molds. It was always going to be figures using existing parts with new paint decos and maybe a new head. The cost was always going to be the bare minimum. I didn’t know store exclusives always just meant no investment and only re-used molds, can I ask what the rationale is for that? Either way, my point stands, they shouldn’t have done the figure in full knowledge they couldn’t or wouldn’t execute it properly.

You’d think we would stop doing this to ourselves by now. People were crying for tucked in boots. They made a mold with tucked boots, but are trying to use it for 6'7 Scott Hall and sub 6ft Davey Boy. There was zero chance this was ever going to be a perfect figure. If this was the only choice and they knew full well the scale wouldn’t work, they should have scrapped Hall and either moved him to later in the series where they could invest the money into making it properly or scrapped it all together and do a UE down the line. I'm absolutely disgusted I have to fix Hall (plus using a UE16 Razor head), Hogan, AND Luger, to make their heights correct. This is hot garbage. With everything being talked up about this line, I thought we were going to get some seriously good figs. Instead we got half-arsed product. This is borderline Jakks level. Hell, I returned my CC3 Piper/Steele 'cause the paint was terrible. I’ve never done fix ups and never thought I would but I’d be interested to know how you would go about correcting these. Was looking forward to this line but this first series sucks.

I have now gone from being excited for these to feeling like I have to reluctantly buy them. That Scott Hall gets worse every time I look at it and how have they given Taker a Torie Wilson body?

Still don’t understand the far too common misconception that Hasbros were ‘cartoon like’ - their sculpts for the time were a very good likeness and not cartoon like at all. This is where Mitch is going wrong with G&G - his choices for signings are great overall to fit in the time period but he’s making the faces too cartoon like. The Mounties are a good example, look nothing like them, more a 15 year olds attempt at a cartoon of them. I’m sticking to WWF/Hasbro era ish guys so I won’t be getting this DDP but it’s brilliant and I’m happy to see Epic are really coming through. I’m all for the more realistic sculpts as that truly is what Hasbro were going for and usually pulled off. Loved POP and very much looking forward to the Bulldogs - not overly convinced with Dynamites likeness but it’s ok, Davey Boy is outstanding. I mostly agree overall that the the cartoony-ness of Hasbros has been somewhat overstated (specifically the idea that they were simplistic) but I think saying they not cartoony at all is a massive overstatement. Some are less than others for sure, but Hasbros like Bret and Taker could 100% be described as cartoony. I think if you look closely at Taker it’s a very good likeness *for the time* and I don’t think Bret is a million miles away, I mean, look how wrong Mattel continue to get him in 2023.

DDP looks great. Feels like they are going more towards ZST style rather than hasbro/cartoon style. Feels like Demo/POP were the last of the more cartoony look which is a shame as I thought they were on a winner here. Again DDP still looks great! Hi Steve, has there been an issue with Earthquake and Tugboat greatest hits? It seems these aren’t as freely available as the rest of the series both in the U.K. and from what I’ve seen from people in the US?

Completely get the nervousness around availability of this line and I am too as I will need and want all of them…but surely people are jumping the gun here, I thought it wasn’t due to be officially launched until April/Mania season? We’re not even half way through January.
Agree on the reviews though, so disappointing to have another Taker too small/skinny, the colours and lack of detail on all of the figures are off. Really hope things improve. I’m sure it’s not the case but Mattel aren’t helping kill the rumblings of releasing figures with errors that they can correct and re-release for people to buy again later down the road.

Rumour is after just a couple of recent sets, Legends sets will be no more in the U.K. really disappointing but hardly surprising when they’re between £28-35 a figure depending on where you look. People won’t buy at that price.
Steve said somewhere recently it’s the stores that set the prices but Smyths had legends at £28.99 but are now listing MNW due in March at £19.99 - not sure the reasoning and whether Legends are more expensive to get in (?) but hopefully the MNW set does well at the £19.99 price point and they can at least carry those moving forward.
In terms of Ultimates, it would be great but I suspect they can’t get them in at a sensible price point. Nobody will pay £40-45 per figure.

Ha! That would explain my ‘feeling’! Thanks for the reminder. Hopefully they go with soft goods but if the shirt is on the render that usually indicates it’s not soft goods right? Would be a shame and not sure how else it differs from other white shirt foleys already released if it’s not soft goods. Not shown in the render, but I recall Bill/Steve mentioning working on a soft good shirt during the Ringside Fest video. Finally, that’s positive…thanks again 👍🏻

Got a feeling fabric shirt mankind may appear as an ultimate alongside the MNW line. Not many bigger RAW episodes than him winning the title and Bischoff getting everyone to switch channel. The render has already been shown. It’s in the second wave along with WCW Eddy Guerrero. Ha! That would explain my ‘feeling’! Thanks for the reminder. I wasn't planning on getting this but the more I see it the more I want it. This 3 pack along with the MNW ultimate will probably close the book on Foley in my collection. Dumb as crap to do a Hulk Hogan themed Jimmy hart and NOT have it be the chase so we could finish the mega maniacs. Their method of chases is kind of dumb imo. You're always gonna make Andre figures, but how many Jimmy harts you gonna make? Or Sheiks for that matter? Either of those 2 should have been the chase. Absolutely, bad call going with Andre can only imagine they’ll sell less figures too. In an ideal world I’d have loved a Money Inc, Nasty Boys, Earthquake/Natural Disasters Jimmy but at the very least it would have been so easy for them to make a chase of Megamaniacs Jimmy - it’s almost the same deco but would have completed the team as we already have Hogan and Brutus. More people would have purchased both.

Seems a lot of panic about stock but I’m sure the official launch date is tomorrow (7th Jan) so I’m sure stock will be plentiful in the coming weeks.
