Has anyone swapped E42 Neville's boots with his basic? They're taller than the Elite boots so they would mess with the scale. I was gonna do it when I got my Elite Neville but I'm still trying find some proper scale thighs to replace the painted ones.

No loose left hand on my Joe, however both him and KO had extremely tight hip and shoulder joints. Had to soak 'em for a minute before I moved them around. Also, my Joe had a bunch of black paint on the red side of his shorts and a small gash in his forearm.

I was never a Goldberg fan but I'll happily buy multiples if he comes with the WCW United States Title.

So what is the difference then essentially? I'm holding an Elite Series 2 R Truth and a new Elite 42 Nasty Boy. I don't see any change in the hip joints. Look at the pegs that the legs are on. If they are smooth and rounded, those legs just pop right off with some applied heat. If the peg looks sort of like it's threaded (like a screw for example) , then those are the ones that the legs are a pain in ass to remove. The ratchet joints aren't that bad to remove once you know what's inside. I posted a video on how to swap them in the Fix Up Thread if you're interested.

I personally use Goo Off on every part of Mattels and have never had an issue. I just dip a Q-Tip in and gently wipe away whatever I need to get rid of. I also use the "water dunking" method as stated above. Any white residue will disappear with a magic eraser but I wait for my figure to dry completely before using it. I've also found that most white residue will go away once sprayed with Krylon Matte spray since it's just a haze in the clear coat.

I posted this a few days ago: Hope it helps! tried 'er last night and it worked like a charm. A bonus is that now I know how to fix some broken figures! Thanks man. Never would have thought to do that myself. Feels good to be able help others that have struggled with this issue, but I feel like it's the only knowledge I have to share. Others on this board are WAY more knowledgeable then I am when it comes to customizing. Are there any other "secrets" people wanna know that haven't already been addressed somewhere?

Anyone know an easy/safe way to remove older leg moulds from the hip joint? Picked up an E41 Funk to try to customize with and I'll be sad if I have to crack torso and codpiece just to swap legs. I posted this a few days ago: Hope it helps!

I know collecting is by nature a nit-picky hobby, but this is a bit overboard in my opinion. Honestly don't see what the big deal is, no offense. Any topic I start is open to debate and that's what I love about forums! You get to hear so many different views from many people. I love to hear all opinions and I just thought I'd share mine. You CAN'T offend me at all - Well maybe with the exception of your Patriots/Yankees avatar - haha!

To be fair, it is just a Neville figure. It's not which figure it is. It's about seemingly pointless decisions that detract from the overall look and atheistic of the figure. I think I just look at figures like Demolition who are so intricate (they're heads were casted in skin tone BTW) and were possibly made for less money (speculation due to the price they were sold for originally) and can't help but fell that the production decisions being made are pure laziness. Granted I've never produced a figure and have no clue want goes into the choices that are made but it's just my two cents. And make no mistake, I still love Mattel's WWE line and will continue to support it. I just thought I would point out something that really stands out as a flaw in my book.

They have been casting things in the dominant color. With DB his hair and beard were the dominant color so it was cast in the hair color and they painted the face. (Something they said they would neverdo) so if Neville's legs are predominantly black that is why it was cast in black. If not I have no clue to why. 3/4 of the thigh are flesh tone - haha

Don't look at Jimmy Hart or Paul Bearer's hands, or Daniel Bryan's face, or the countless other figures that utilize this technique. But those don't bother me as much since it's not "skin to skin" contact. The hands are broken up by the jacket and the beard and hair breaks up Daniel Bryan. I understand those reasonings a lot more than this.

So I just got my E42 Neville from Amazon and after opening it up and inspecting it I noticed (rather quickly) that the upper thighs are casted in black and then painted flesh tone. Why?!? Is it that much more expensive to paint the knee pads in black? It can't be that much more complicated to paint the black since either way it's a line that's wrapped around. I'm quite annoyed by this and am now going to have to swap the thighs out. Any thoughts on what Mattel's thought process was in this? The picture actually makes the skin tone match look better than it is in person.

Most of the women's figures I have got have loose hip and torso joints. I wish I could get some with super stiff joints cause at least I can loosen them up.

I have a hairdryer. Quicker and dont have to reheat water. Yeah but I can go smoke a cigarette while my figures are chilling in the bath

booberrysexmuffin that was a great video, thanks for making! It left me wondering how many of us have a dedicated cup/mug at home for soaking Mattel body parts on the kitchen counter top and have our spouses roll their eyes at? Lol - glad you enjoyed it! And yes, that's MY cup and she knows not to use it for her coffee. It's the perfect size and I can't have it tainted with any other liquids - haha

After several failed attempts at cracking torsos, I made a video for anyone that was curious about using the gear style peg in the newer style ball joints. I didn't really find too much on this other cutting/gluing and drilling options so I decided to have at it and found out some help information for future builds. If anyone wants to check out, hopefully it can help others that have had questions about this.

If it's within the US then use a Large Board Game Flat Rate box from USPS. It fits nearly perfectly with a little bubble wrap and it ships for under $20 with tracking and insurance.
