I've seen a few around some of the stars already exist in some figure form or another

Why is this being posted on the main Pic Fed board? Going to move it to the Discussion Board until I figure out where this should actually be posted. I only ask because its off set to the point where it is noticeable in photograph. My set up is primarily used to shoot for stop motion and action poses

I animated for a few years and pic fed now so I'm pretty well versed in using string. I tend to just use a longer loop of string and hold it with my hand. I normally tie the string in a loop and place one end around the ankle joints of the figure and the other around the head for diving moves. For falling backwards shots, I place the loop behind the knee joints and the other behind the neck again. For shots on the top rope, I place the string under the figure's arms. Hope this helps! I'm not too familiar with the tripod method unfortunately so I can't help you there. anything is helpful at this point since I am still very new to this. the only reason I bring up the tripod is because I have a fairly large setup

Recently it came to my attention that when using newer ring ropes from ringside on my Mattel elite scale ring it becomes uneven due to the tension of the ropes. One side of the ring becomes higher than another. Has any one else come across this? If so what if anything are you able to do to fix this issue?

I'd like to start filming for stop motion and would like to have something to work from.

I am new to the world of figure photography for the most part and was wondering how people pose their figure for action/ airborne shots. I am familiar with the yardstick method but is anyone able to shed some light on how to put together a setup for that like how is the yardstick secured to the tripod, is there a need for a counterweight, what are the best joints to string from?

After taking nearly a 15 year break from collecting and customizing figures it feels so good to be back. Growing up this was one of the first websites I remember checking regularly for new figure drops. Most of the inspiration I get from today comes from the great customizers here. I wan't to thank the member's who are no longer here, the new members are looking to expand, and everyone in between. This has and always will be my first home for anything wrestling figure related.

just take your time and slow down. Tape off any thing you don't want painted and try wetting your brushes a bit more
