voicesinmyhead Flair Forever I am just taking the mans word for it right now. "I signed a deal for action figures, and i think I have 11 months left on that deal." He mentioned mattel several times. If you're taking Eric Bischoff at his word, I think we can safely lock the thread and move on with our lives.

No man we have heard for years and years from bill and steve that (insert wrestling talent name here) can not have a figure made because they are not under a legends deal. If that has changed recently because of the tko merger ok, then say that. That is there only excuse now if bischoff is being honest. I and others have said repeatedly "why can't a person just have a separate deal to have figures made ?" I am not letting mattel off the hook on this one, a lot figures have not been made because of this red tape excuse. Now look they could have done a figure only deal with talents. WWE have restructured their deals for alumni. Mattel could only create figures of talent under Legends deals as those seemed to be the only merchandise deals being offered. In recent times they've restructured and some talent (eg Headbangers) have what is called "nostalgia" deals which appear to differ from Legends contracts. I assume Bischoff is under a similar deal. Same logic applies, regardless of the name of the contract WWE provides the talent with, the talent still needs to be under a merchandise deal with WWE for Mattel to be able to release a Figure. There's absolutely no indication that legends or nostalgia contracts are any different from one another. The contract language has said "WWE nostalgia program" going back at least a decade. www.documentcloud.org/documents/3549783-Bryan-Clark-Legends-Contract-OCR

For all intents and purposes, Legends contracts don't exist. The language in the deal Bischoff signed most likely references the WWE Nostalgia Program. So no, he probably has no clue what a Legends contract is. But they're the same thing.
I don't know why people keep hoping there is greater mystery than there is to who is or isn't likely to get a figure.

I’d take a re release Sycho Sid in the black trunks. In fairness that's a good choice... I'd honestly love a Sid UE with a bunch of different facial expressions. But a re-release wouldn't be terrible in this line.

For this list, I'm going to exclude the half teams we have (ie Bulldogs, Blondes, etc). It goes without saying Mattel should finish those teams if/when the other member is available
1) Steiners (early 90's WCW, late 90s WCW, and WWF looks in that order) 2) LOD 2000 3) Stars and Stripes 4) Rock n Roll Express 5) Faces of Fear 6) Quebecers 7) Impact Players 8) Rockers yellow paint splatter 9) Midnight Express 10) Smoking Gunns

She's heavily pushed. I don't think that necessarily means she's popular. Her first Elite was on shelves forever even with a great robe. The subsequent Elites didn't seem much better, though the Survivor Series wave never even hit stores as far as I can tell.
I think she's much better placed having fewer figures but getting premium treatments when made. Her UE is a great figure, but without the robe would have been an easy pass.
We'll see where she slots in with HHH's booking. But I can't see a huge argument for including her more than she has been moving forward.

I predict these will flop & be clearanced out just like every cross over has been. Being clearanced and being profitable aren't mutually exclusive. I'll be passing on these, but hopefully it's something people who are a fan of both properties enjoy.

For all the other faults, I haven't had any major quality issues outside of the issue with Cody's boot on the Supreme figures.

I appreciate the constant attempts to innovate. From creating the Ultimate line, to integrating butterfly joints and double jointed elbows, to the recent changes to the Basic line, there's a conscious effort to moving forward. And the design work has been top notch the last few years.
Steve especially has been super engaged with the community, and it's very evident that true fans with deep knowledge of wrestling work on the line.
To be a decade+ in and going strong is amazing, regardless of line, brand, or time period. They deserve a huge shout out for the body of work that has been delivered.

Checked my local Target. Anyone know the case breakdown? 0 Yokozunas 1 sultan 5 Albanos 4 Hogans 3 Alis They come in cases of 5 by themselves it’s been like this for years now The shippers I've seen have all been heavily weighted towards Hogan/Ali. But once those sell through I assume we'll see cases shipping.

I got my Sultan today and I'm honestly blown away. Between the new tooling, soft goods, and subtle deco hits, they really went all out for such a niche character. Awesome work by Bill and I'm amazed they fit it in the budget in a set where all 4 figs have soft goods.

I wonder who’s gonna be in Elite 113 so far we only know 2 Tiffany and Carlito, I take it we gonna get Kofi to match Elite 112 Xavier but I wouldn’t mind seeing these obviously it won’t be all of them but. Trick Williams Gunther Kevin Owens with duct take t shirt Ilja Dragunov (No Mercy attire) Miz The duct tape KO has been a top want for me forever. It'll be crazy to have him wear it during two different prominent runs and never get an Elite.

Mable was a head scratcher. Gold seemed like a perfect fit for the chase. And not touching a Men on a Mission version is such a bad call. Yeah, but it would feel empty without Mo. That hasn't stopped Bill from making plenty of half tag teams that are unlikely to get completed.

Okay, hit two Targets this morning with nothing on the shelves. Really wish if the street date was 4/28, you could walk into the store on 4/28 and just buy the figures.... but okay. So I went on the App and ordered Albano for in-store pickup. Went back two-hours later and picked it up. So, lesson learned, I suppose. I was kind of hoping to look at the new set, possibly grab a chase Hogan (if they'd had it), and look them over for Quality Control, but I guess that's what I get for being impatient. Since this is how we're doing it, I just bought Albano. I saw that others were saying Albano will likely shelf-warm, my fear was that since it's "First In The Line" that it might be harder to find. So this was a priority for me. Great figure! I really like it. I'll buy Hogan IF I see it on the shelf. Ali & Sultan are likely passes from me. Great photo! Will some or all of the wave end up on sale or clearance? Probably. Personally I'm happy to order the wave, have it, and be done. No need to run from store to store or worry that I'll miss a figure I want. Order them through the app, have them delivered to my door, and save my time, gas, and sanity. That's worth a few extra dollars to me.

I’m curious how the TNA figures will do. If they don’t do so well, will they drop it? Maybe. I think they would do better with early TNA roster. Jarrett, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, etc. Not very promising at this time given their employment elsewhere. I know Abyss is with WWE in a backstage role but his figure is probably the one that would interest me most. Not sure which other TNA Legends would do really well…Raven? AMW? Beer Money? Christopher Daniels? Apparently some of the old TNA deals allowed the company to retain licensing rights beyond the life of the contract (I think a lot of movie licensing is structured this way). That's how they were able to make Micro Brawlers of Abyss and Roode while both were with WWE. I get wanting to focusing marketing on current stars. But you're talking about a very niche wrestling product who has managed to burn a lot of the goodwill they had built recently. Add in the scale choice knocking out a non-trivial portion of the customer base and the price point and I think sales are going to be roooooough.

Everything else is literally the same. One of the weakest chases yet. Not sure I can be bothered to get the chase. A reversed red/black would been better imo. Mabel elite 68 is bad too Mable was a head scratcher. Gold seemed like a perfect fit for the chase. And not touching a Men on a Mission version is such a bad call.

Just got the Monday night wars ultimates and these seem to be similar. Roddy piper is 6 foot and seems as tall as Zayn, and Brett Heart is also 6 foot and the same exact height as ultimate Kevin Owens My Bret MNW UE lines up with every other Hart Elite/Ultimate I have...

I don't know about dead on, but the yelling/open-mouthed head is the best of the lot. The other two aren't great, though. I think the yelling sculpt is terrible and looks like an old man Bret. I personally think the snarling scan is the best out of the three and that’s not saying much. The same goes for the RVD ultimate. The screaming scan looks like an old man Van Dam. I put the glasses on the yelling head and put it on 93 Rumble UE and it looks pretty good. I'm using one of the heads from the first UE Bret for the MNW figure. I guess one benefit to buying way too many figures of the same guys is that I have spare parts to fix up Mattel's misses.

I'm a loose collector, but still bummed Bruno isn't in the Legends packaging that was shown. That figure looked perfect.

Looks like you answered your own question there. It's the right answer too. Adding muta is great. Adding it to a main line instead of exclusive hell because that's someone you like makes it seem others are not important. Who has been signed that they haven't made? Ivory and Terri Runnels are the only two I can think of. They immediately made the Steiners, the Rick thing happened, and Steve has said they will be making more figures. I think people can connect the dots there. Beyond that, I can't think of any Legend who was available and didn't find their way into the line over the last few years. There are definitely some active talent they waited too long on and lost - WCW Jericho, Goldust/Natural Dustin, ECW Dudleys years ago. But I they've been pretty on top of things the past 3+ years with a record number of flashback slots.
