Really excited by all this!
I'd have probably selected another colour for the ring as the black is obviously very harsh given the nature of the line (and I'd probably have reserved that colour for a future Raw ring, but perhaps this is a sign that they won't be doing one like that at any point) but otherwise I can't fault it.
I wrote in the thread before that I didn't want a figure included for selfish reasons regarding it making things difficult for my MOC figure display so I'm happy on that score, but I do agree a belt should've been included even if it meant increasing the price to create the budget surplus, but at the price it's listed at then I can have no complaints there either.

Stunning effort with that DDP Equally exciting to hear about the launch of a "Deluxe Edition" of the Megastars line! Can't wait for further details on that.

Only Ultimate Editions for me - I was in from day 1 but the introduction of US store exclusives was always going to make that difficult.
I managed with the Target exclusives as the more recent ones came to Amazon UK, but once Walmart got their hands on an Ultimate Edition exclusive line then I gave-up.
Retros are the only line I'm 100% on now.

That’s brilliant!! Very exciting, and unexpected!!
While I hope it’s just a ring without an exclusive figure as selfishly I’m thinking about my MOC collection display, I’ll be getting a couple of these at least! Feels like a fresh shot of adrenaline, like the nWo set did when that was first announced.

Yeah, but it wouldn’t make sense within the context of the storyline. Shawn believed he was still the champ, and last we seen him with the belt he was carrying the black strap. The similar appearance of the belts also played into the finish of Razor’s IC title defense at the Rumble. Not sure why, but I thought when he forfeited the Intercontinental Championship Title Belt, it was the white strap. Maybe I retconned this in my head, and thought about it so much, that I started to believe it to be true. Maybe I'm confusing it with the 2nd time HBK gave up the Intercontinental Championship Title Belt. As I remember it Shawn was suspended for something (in real life, I'm guessing? Or was it kayfabe?) so was stripped of his second run with the title off-screen, and a new champ was crowned with the final being between Razor and Rick Martel. The time he forfeited it on screen was his third reign after the bar attack I think; that could've been the white strap now you mention it, I shall have to find the segment now

I'm really hoping we see some movement on Powers of Pain and Demolition this week - getting a bit close to Christmas where couriers are so busy, some people will be away from home, plus Epic themselves have posted about closing over the season so if the stock is in the country from China already then I hope the shipping notices will be with us soon. I was just thinking the same thing. I commented on their Instagram the day they said about posting dates and they said thet were waiting for all powers figures to arrive before sending any unfortunately. Was hoping they would just start shipping asap as I am away next week over Xmas and New yr so they will either be stuck in the post system over Xmas or worse still try to deliver and then get returned to epic as I won't be here to collect. Very disappointing especially as been waiting for them for sooo long. Just have to keep my fingers crossed they arrive before next Tuesday. I'm in basically the same position: away next week and not back until January. I don't actually get away that often but every time I do then it seems like some old pre-order ships just in time to arrive a few hours after I leave It's happened the last two times I've been away so might as well get the hat-trick I've already had one US order ship that wasn't meant to go out until after Xmas, so the Epic boxes will have company at least I was just thinking the same thing. The pre order closed like 10 weeks ago for them, don’t think the “soooo long” bit is needed The rest of PoP and Demo will be arriving in the next couple of days so shipping will start ASAP once they arrive. All are sent by 48 hour shipping to UK customers so should be there by Christmas if they were not ordered with Bulldogs Thanks for the update; shame the timing is against me this time but can't be helped - now I'll need to go find a Xmas gift/bribe for my neighbour...

Survivor Series 94 or Royal Rumble 95 for definite - we really need to get something eventually to represent his unbraided long-hair look, and the shorts are the best representation of that.
That is certainly the look I hope we get in the Retros very soon when Bulldog finally makes it to the line as Hasbro would've done that look within a few additional series had that line continued.

This line (both the Elites and Ultimates it seems) being announced for Smyths in the UK is a huge win not just for us here, but also for Americans. Smyths are generally speaking excellent in my experience: they deliver their online orders rather than cancel them, they stock their stores rather than leaving the pegs empty for months, etc. - it's a remarkably different approach to that of Walmart This potentially means that we in the UK can help you in the US to get anything that Walmart messes-up - kind of like when Smyths suddenly started receiving the Collectors Editions Elites like the tag team Davey Boy Smith, Kama, the original Zelina Vega, etc., well before Walmart or Target stores started getting them; I helped quite a few people here to get them. Figures here of course are more expensive here than in the US, sales tax (VAT) is far higher here, plus then of course the cost of international postage, but potentially this line should now be accessible to everyone due to them being available with Smyths - a huge win. Pretty certain the ultimates are exclusive to Walmart only, unfortunately. I believe Sam misspoke in the video as the text underneath only referred to Walmart. Also on AFA's IG post it only mentions Walmart whilst the elites say Walmart and Smyths. That's a shame if that's the case https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cz9mW-OSigf I was going from this: "In addition to Monday Night War Elites and Ultimates at Walmart & Smyths, you can pickup the Ultimate Edition Monday Nitro Ring with exclusive Eric Bischoff figure at @ringsidec & @mattelcreations to give your MNW figs the proper battle ground." But missed the last line only referring to Walmart.

DX listed for mid-February is a couple of months sooner than I expected - hopefully means that Ringside can fit-in another set later in 2024? I’ll run the numbers tomorrow on whether to order them direct from Ringside or from a UK-based importer; very excited to get these

When the Retros were announced, so 2016-ish.
I’d not been keeping up with WWE figures basically since the BCA days, but my love was always the Hasbros, so when I saw on another forum the Retros series 1 reveal then I was interested in what Mattel were doing.
The KOTR Bret was actually the first Mattel figure I bought before the Retros came-out I think, and then I collected the Ultimates from the start until recently when Mattel decided to give exclusive Ultimates to US stores that don’t ship to the UK, so that ended that collection as it’s just not worth the hassle dealing with that BS.
Now it’s just the Retros for definite for me, but occasionally might buy one or two special figures from other lines if they are available to me.

Yeah I knew about the boxsets on ringside Just got worried that something changed since sdcc. It seems mattel is still gung-ho on this line and wants to continue it. There is no reason not to since the indy companies are selling through their stock like its water. Obviously the demand is there. The fact that they are not in retail and still selling out is proof enough The post you quoted was from 2019; that year the line was "put on ice" after the run in physical US stores ended and things were looking very bleak and hopeless - fortunately we fans of the line had Mattel people like Steve Ozer in our corner fighting to get the line relaunched, so the line is currently on great run as Chair.Shot's excellent post details. The Hogan/Ali/Richter/Studd set should probably be released in January (based on previous years), the DX set maybe in May, and then the next Mattel Creations bundle in August - we don't anything about that bundle yet, WrestleMania will likely be when we hear about it. The line could end of course any time, but we should at least get that second Mattel Creations bundle in 2024.

Thanks for your work bringing us the most recent Retros bundle - Jerry Lawler had been such a big ‘want’ of mine back in the day that I’m delighted to have that figure especially; the attire is perfect, and the action makes it a more interesting figure than I had dreamed to get; great stuff!
Looking ahead to the next bundle: when revealed Ali was shown holding a microphone, which I believe he never touched during his appearance (or am I wrong on this one?) - was that a place-holder just for the reveal, with a more fitting accessory expected for the actual bundle? A title belt for either Hogan or Richter would be brilliant, or maybe the duffle bag for Studd - the microphone is better than nothing but something more fitting would be exciting to see.
Thanks.

Speaking of debut Mankind, I always imagined Mattel would eventually do a Foley bundle: 1. Debut Mankind 2. Dude Love 3. Cactus Jack 4. Commissioner Foley Four different figures rather than one figure repainted several times of course (best to clarify that). But with talk recently about the Foley exclusive Ringside Elites being redesigned for Foley to sign all three windows, I wonder if Mattel would do something special for the packaging of that set? A Retros boxset? Maybe a 4-figure-long card?? Something fun like that would look incredible signed by Foley.

As much as the post-Hasbro figures (like Diesel) were missed from my collection, the big one for me was Jerry Lawler since he had been around well before the end of the line. LOVE that Mattel have finally given us a Lawler figure, and in the right attire as well - I've been fighting the urge to break-out my Bret Hasbro and finally play-out those matches 9-year old dreamed about, starting with a ladder match for Macho King's crown

With Epic Toys having announced a Bobby Heenan, I can’t help but feel Mattel dropped the ball on this. Wondering if this rules out the possibility of The Brain being included in any future Retro sets. That would be a pity, as he slots into so many possible sets - WM1, WM3, with Gorilla, with Flair/Perfect, WCW, Heenan Family etc It would be interesting to know the details of the timeline of the Heenan situation - he clearly had a WWE Legends deal once but I don't think he's had a figure since the weasel suit one when the Legends line returned? That must be a few years ago now, so (if he hasn't had a figure since) then his deal could've lapsed at any point since then; maybe he hasn't actually been available to Mattel since the Retros returned? We're unlikely to find-out, but would explain why he wasn't used earlier. Epic have him scheduled for their next series, so maybe they're rushing him out? If they have a short window between an old Legends deal expiring and another starting then they might need to prioritise him (as I think happened with DDP?) and get him out ASAP? The important thing is he will finally be represented in that scale, but on the other hand then losing those potential sets (especially Heenan Family) is disappointing.

With Brian Pillman Jr now being with WWE, I’ve been wondering about the Retros if we see his Dad’s figures return to Mattel’s roster (no idea if there’s news on this or not?).
If he does become available again then I wonder if the next Ringside tag team bundle after DX (hopefully there is one!) could be the Hart Foundation?
That would keep the factions theme they’ve been doing, and after the top tier groups like nWo and DX, the Horsemen not being available, Evolution being a bit too recent for the line, then a group like the Hart Foundation could be the right profile to continue the run.
Getting Bret and Anvil together would be an obvious target (though this was many years after the tag team split-up), Bulldog and Pillman in the other. Obviously incomplete without Owen, but that’s never changing so we should make the best of it if we have the other four available?
Canadian Stampede attires I expect, but then the question becomes how they do the jackets? Moulded would be the obvious answer I suppose, which would be probably in keeping with the Hasbros, but still disappointing if we couldn’t remove them - could they add a bit of extra articulation so Bret and Anvil could have removable jackets? Pillman and Bulldog should be easy enough with their sleeveless jackets/waistcoats/vests.
I feel like a Hart Foundation set would have to have the jackets represented somehow. Or would the material they use on the Mean Gene/Jimmy Hart figure’s jacket be flexible enough to remove and replace without tearing?

Two sets of the Bulldogs ordered here as well - slightly unnerving how I'm now dropping £100 on action figures without giving it a second thought at all but here we are I've not ordered yet, what was the postage like? Free postage using a code at the top of the page if you spend over £80; I think it was about £4 before the code was entered.
