Me too, my wife and brother seen my mouth drop, then dissapointment. I want the elite, but the retro would of been insane. Saw that too, and didn't catch it wasn't a retro at first. King Mabel would be great for new gen era. Haha..back into our holes we go.

I'll be cool with either of these Shelton Benjamin getting made. I remember when WWE were going for the "Rock lite" thing with him...haha. I actually dig the 2004-06 period. Tons of crap, but had its share of good stuff too. It failed at things, it hit on others but wasn't afraid to try, so we didn't have the sterilized and polished shows we see now.

Thanks a lot! I have my eyes on another Ambrose, actually. I think a head swap and gloss black paint job with sleek decal work would make for a really good Big Evil Undertaker :-)

So, here's my project from last night. I picked up an extra Ambrose for the torso. DON'T CROSS THE BOSS!

Simple and most likely effective. I'll give it a try when I get home from work and let you know how it works. Thanks! I use a small piece of notebook paper and stuff it down in there. Ok cool. I'll use both recommendations as options. I'll be working on it, probably Friday. The other annoying part I realized is that under the right lighting, the skin tones are off between the head and body, but not THAT bad. Orton having the Austin stunner/RKO body just works though. I don't want to use any other torso.

Here's a few more I'm in the process of working on...some need painting, most/all still need the decals applied: Eddie and Kurt Alternate Brock Lesnar Stone Cold Steve Austin (2001 Heel) Surfer Sting and Jerry "The King" Lawler Brian Pillman Alternate Undertaker (No hat) Randy Orton

AWESOME WORK! Here's my crack at it. However, I'm critical of mine a bit.. For some reason on mine, the torso doesn't close back together 100% of the way...with or without arms or lower body. Even just the front and back shell. Remarkably, I did vertually no damage opening my Lesnar torso so I'm stumped. It closes 99% of the way. Just enough to see a flawed gap in the seem. The other fix I want to make is to use an exacto knife to slim out his teeth. Too toothy. But I wanted teeth and the brown beard to get that dementia yelling old man look gone lol. And thanks for all of the great advice! It's helping me a ton, and I couldn't have done this without your expertise!

So, I'm starting a Retro Randy Orton using a Steve Austin Body, but the head freely spins on it. Does anyone have any recommendations for alterations I could do to make to head tighter on the peg? Any advice is welcomed. Thanks!

So I know this is Series 1, but we were discussing custom Retro figures and belts in this thread, so here's an Undertaker with no hat. Just simple Mattel head swapping works with these two lines sometimes. Gonna turn a Mankind Retro into a Cactus Jack. I LOVE this Taker though. awesome swap, i'm surprised it worked that well Me too. The hair fits perfectly and he still looks cartoonish enough to look like a good pass for a Retro. I'm liking it. Thanks.

Completely missed the retro part. Please disregard my first post. Although, couldnβt you swap one of the elite heads with a mask on to a retro figure? Very true. I didn't even think about that. I'll probably just go that route. I think if I cut out the center of his dress shirt, it would make a great Cactus flannel. Especially without the sleeves.

So, anyone have an extra one and cut the mask off? How does the Foley face look?
I'm thinking about picking up another Mankind just to do a Cactus Jack custom. I wanna cut out the center of the dress shirt to make it the flannel vest then apply a Cactus Jack shirt logo decal on the chest for the black shirt underneath.
Feeling froggy to do this. Anyone else try this feat yet?

I bought a second Austin and put the warlords head and accessories on it. It doesn't look bad. Anyone else make any neat head swaps?Β I put an Eddie Guererro on a Triple H jumper.. ...an Angle head on the Austin body.. ...gonna try an Orton on an Austin soon. Of course some painting is needed for the customs but they look great. OH, and I highly recommend jamming on some of the other Warrior heads on the Ultimate Warrior retro. You could even swap the arm laces :-)

Ok, so your advice has worked wonders. I'm working on TWO Brocks: one for a Goldberg and one for a Batista. The tattoo removal process is going well and I maintain basically all of the figure gloss using Goo Gone. I used the microwave and two cups of hot water to soften the figure for the torso separation trick, and it DID minimize the damage. The only issue I have is slight seam separation under the arms due to prying. Do you have any sort of method to use to maybe re-heat and pull the plastic back to make the seam look better? Thanks again! I really don't. Maybe try reheating and wrapping with several rubber bands? I've heard of people using lighters with non-direct heat to sort of melt/form the plastic back into form, but I'd be pretty cautious about this method. Maybe practice on a junk figure before trying on your custom? I've been working like a dog, so I'm just getting around to it today. I think I'm going to try the two coffee cup re-heat to soften the plastic again. Then I'll decide on either really small pliers or tweezers that have more or a flat bite tip to work the seam. I'm scared to death of the lighter. It'll be an inferno Career Match and Goldberg will lose lol I have the arm tattoo ready. I also have two of each Series 3. I do that for all Retros. I keep one loose, and one on the card. I haven't seen a single Goldberg on eBay in a week. And RSC doesn't even have one available for backorder last I checked. I'm thinking about using my carded Goldie then replacing him when he's available again. I just really wanna make this custom now lol. I also have a Mattel CM Punk head. But based on height and body type, he only works as a Seth jumper (boot style) at this point. I wanna do a Randy Orton. I have several Austin's. I think he'd be good with the Stone Cold body for the RKO...perfect, actually.

my walmart still has nothing but wave one and most of that is taker and uw! no series two for me ever! death of the line! sad me! Just buy what they have left and return them after you get the S2 you need. You've got 90 days, no questions asked. And after S2, other series should be available everywhere. Holy hell, is that really the trick? Because our Wally is agonizingly down to two Lesnars. They are so beat up that 1/3 of the packaging glue has come undone. They had four last week but I grabbed two for Goldberg and Batista customs. Might snag the last ones and do a 2002 attire Brock, or whatever. So this works then, eh?

@chicago where's the answers? You dont even know what questions were asked lol ^Right. I went through 11 pages trying to find the Diesel answer lol βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ Chicago said: Questions related to upcoming Mattel WWE Retro figures have already been posed in this thread and likely were already answered by Bill for the forthcoming Q&A video. SPOILER: Click to show Piling on top of those likely won't do much good, so for that reason I'm locking this. βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ No offense but you guys need to learn how to read. Chicago never said that it was answered in the thread. He said that it was most likely answered in the upcoming Q&A video that will be posted either today or tomorrow. My bad. The title of thread throws ya off when it says Q&A. I just jumped in.

...anyone know the case breakdown for Series 2? Whenever I've seen them in Smyths, there seem to be loads of Rock and Austin, but only 1 or 2 (or none at all!) Kane and Mankind... 2x Austin 2x Rock 1x HHH 1x Kane 1x Sting 1x Mankind Same here at our local walmarts, as they've gotten several cases at this point, Rock and Austin are starting to build up while the others disappear. I think most people collecting these want the complete set, doesn't make sense to not pack evenly. Maybe from here on out it will be 4 figures per wave, thus 2x per box and hopefully this won't happen anymore? Not that I care because I bought S2 on eBay in September, but our Wal-Mart's still have ZERO S2 figures. Brock and Cena lol
