We are trying to keep repaints limited unless (in our opinion) absolutely warranted. We feel these Blue Mania 2 Bulldogs are warranted.
I’m so excited for you guys to see our April pre-orders. 3 figs. Any guesses? Any hopes?

This line is very impressive, I never collected LJNs, and don't see myself getting into them. But, I did have a bunch of WCW OSFTM LJN style. Been kicking the tires on maybe collecting those. I am wondering though, has there been discussion of BRG's doing anything to fill in some of the gaps in that WCW line? Some big ones I can think of right away are: Shark (planned but never released) Renegade (planned never released) Arn DDP Booty Man or Zodiac And if they wanted to extend a little beyond maybe: Hall Nash Luger Steiners Faces of Fear To name a few. Sorry not doing OSFTM. They are a different scale and feel. Also most of the guys you named have WWE Legends deals.

Epic Toys just revealed their retro Bobby Heenan. Is he available now? Could make for a cool Big Rubber Guy, give him his more expressive cocky smile, one of his elaborate suits or the Mania 3 white suit to go along with Andre (if possible). His LJN was fine, but a new look could be fun! Unfortunately he’s unavailable for us.

Anyone heard around when in March that Savage will be shipping? They are supposed to arrive this week and then will probably take another week to get all the orders out.

Will it be available to order on the normal website too? If they don’t sell out at the show

We believe the cases/boxes are scuffed before shipping. It pisses us off too.
You can hit back at the manufacturer in China, but it is hard if you don’t have boots on the ground pulling samples off the line…. What you see and sign off on doesn’t mean much if you don’t have someone there in the factory. Costs. A to to have someone in the factory for QC….but, it can be done. I’l
Unfortunately we don’t have someone on major pod staff willing to move to China lol. In a way bigger operation? Absolutely possible and realistic.

Factory keeps ing us. Approved sample had belly button. When you receive the approved sample, is it in packaging or completely loose? Or are we talking visually approved? Is it at all financially worth it to start receiving a sealed case of fully produced figures via air before signing off on the full shipment being sent via boat? This isn’t singling you guys out; I’ve wondered if all smaller toy companies have weighed this option. The sample is loose. Then we approve it. Our packaging is resealable so no need for a packaged sample. It is not financially worth it to receive a sealed case of a fully produced figure by air. And let’s say there was a mistake, like a filled in belly button, the factory is not going to rerun the entire production run anyway.

Got Series 3 as well. The figures are remarkable. The best yet. Credit to those responsible for the figures because they are top notch. I think Series 4 will be even better. But can the manufacturer learn how to ship these limited edition collectibles. My packaging is so scuffed on the front that it’s ridiculously visible. Can tell from the blemishes on the front and back they must be bumping together nonstop on the trip stateside. Not sure how it can be this pronounced but even eBay ones show the same problem. Demolition was too but not this bad. I ordered Series 4 and 5 but if things don’t improve I’m not sure I want to continue if the quality care isn’t there. I don’t do loose. I wasn't able to do the preorder for Series 3 so I just received my Slaughter and Jannetty today from Ringside. Aside from the packaging being a little scuffed and the plastic broke in one area, I was happy with the purchase. Both are great looking figures and I love Slaughter's glasses with the hat, and I'm very pleased the hat came with the rank on it. My only issues as others have mentioned is the sizing, how Jannetty is bigger than he should be for a smaller wrestler, and Sarge is probably a little shorter than he should be, but as we all know LJNs weren't always to scale either. Also noticed that for some reason Jannetty was done in the final version without a belly button?? Not that big a deal but wondering if this was an oversight or mistake by the factory? Love the colors on Marty. They really pop! We believe the cases/boxes are scuffed before shipping. It pisses us off too.

Non wrestlers aren’t out of the question. Belts are tricky. Not gonna make generic belts. Not gonna illegally make belts. Internet belt? Haha. Not really sold on adjusting the package so they can stand. Not saying it’s never gonna happen. Just not a current priority. From everything I’ve read, Big Gold isn’t copyrighted. Just throwing that out there. I suppose you could also consider sub-licensing from PowerTown now that they seem to have control of the Reggie Parks catalog. Though I can’t imagine what figure would come along that would justify that additional fee. Not exactly true regarding big gold. It’s a complicated situation.

Are other independent wrestling toy companies generally signing non-exclusive deals, allowing for talent-sharing? I don’t remember if it was OMG or Bundy, but I recall Zombie saying to Sam Roberts that he was signed “exclusively.” And on that note, does form factor matter for exclusive toy deals? Since no one is doing figures at this scale (yet at least), does that open you up to getting around “exclusive” contracts? How is this line generally doing? If the sales remain consistent but don’t grow significantly, is it sustainable? Or is growth essential to this line continuing? Not sure if you can answer this one, just curious and hoping this line can continue for years to come! Do you imagine a time when this line sparks a trend for wrestling toys, like how Hasbro/Retro and Remco styles seem to have taken off? I think it would be great if other companies, including Mattel, take your lead and add to our collection rosters. And you would forever have bragging rights as the ones who started it all (well, after LJN)! Thank you for your time, Non-Corporate Steve Can’t speak for other companies but we do not make our talent sign exclusive contracts. We want these wrestlers making as much money as possible. Line is doing fantastic. Thanks for the support! I’m sure others will try. I hope not but it is what it is.

What is the likelihood that you’ll branch out into non wrestlers/guest wrestlers. Examples: Wrestlemania guest stars. Will there be belts or accessories in the future that are non-specific to a character? (Chair, bell, etc). Any updates on adjusting the packaging so that it can be freestanding? Non wrestlers aren’t out of the question. Belts are tricky. Not gonna make generic belts. Not gonna illegally make belts. Internet belt? Haha. Would 2nd runs of Cardona/Myers be available or Indy God Cardona? Does WWE have any copyright issues if you do guys that worked there in wwe gear. Dino Bravo, Leaping Lanny or Ron Bass be considered since they were there during the LJN era, but didn't get figures. Some guys have WWE Legends deals but get figures from others ie Davey Boy Smith how does that work. Matt and Brian won’t be repainted.. Anyone is considered. Well Ron bass has not been Very few talent have non exclusive legends deals.

Let’s do a little Q&A in here. Obviously I can’t/won’t answer questions about who’s signed. Any chance for a SDCC Exclusive? It’s possible

But how many people actually know it’s “based” on a few GCW matches? I’d assume everyone who listens to our podcasts because it’s been mentioned to death and I assume people who are fans of Ricky because it’s in an outfit he never wore in his prime. Maybe there are some fans who assumed we just made an 80s Ricky in fantasy gear. I don’t know. lol. And the photo of package is modern day Ricky…although Ricky has aged beautifully and still look forever young!

I agree and disagree with you. If we made an 80s Ricky bendie but not Robert, it’d make no sense. But our Ricky is based off his recent Indy run and NWA stuff. Has his teamed with Robert in this time? Yes…very few times. But the majority of it is singles stuff or with Kerry. Rock N Roll BRG coming in 2024!
