Thank you for the reply and link. I see it says June now though when originally was estimated as April. Is this due to the packaging being changed to stand up like you mentioned prior? The prototypes/samples were too big.

Big Rubber Guys Team, I’m curious about something. There’s buzz on here right now about Ventura and WWE mending bridges. It makes me wonder if the change in management there could lead to more Legends signing deals. That being the possibility, while I understand and respect you not wanting to sign people far in advance like other Indy companies do, might this shift your strategy? I have no clue, legally, how that plays out, of course. If Legend A signs with you on June 1, non-exclusive, then signs a WWE Exclusive Legends Deal later this year, for example, could they still get a figure from you next year since your contract came first? Or is that dependent on how far along in production it was? It would provide an interesting argument for signing Legends in advance, if it “guarantees” the option regardless of their future deals. Just curious. Thank you! We expect many people who didn’t have legends deal or had expired legends deals to sign legends deals. If we have them signed first, we are all good.

And I still need Bad News Brown to give a ghetto blaster to Bret Hart, sparking his singles/face run! Not signed. Anybody have his info?

I felt the same as you as I also only want WWF LJNs, but dang it, that leisure suit Flair was impossible to pass up. No way would I have purchased ring gear Flair, but that leisure suit is the epitome of stylin and profilin. I love all this back and forth enthusiasm for this line and respect for how we all collect the line. Personally i need ring gear flair to fight my steamboat, hogan and savage and soon to be dusty! You will

The PoP were great looking but they aren't sold separately (a la Demolition). I sadly had to pass. If they do future tag teams, I hope they do come separately. As a strictly MIBber, shelf space is tough enough for the singles, can't imagine having to house a tag team. They are sold together but they are packaged separately. You can always sell the one you didn’t want and likely it’d pay for both the figs lol.

Thanks for the support man. Next 6 guys…5 never had LJNs. Thank you! Not asking you to give it away, but I’m REALLY hoping the upcoming one who did have an LJN is Hercules. He is SO deserving of a redo in his more iconic look! It’s not. Would love him though.

So far there has been at least one Big Rubber Guy I have purchased with every preorder, since Demolition. As a WWF/LJN era only collector, and only wanting one of each talent (not needing multiple Machos, personally), I recognize this limits who will be “for me” the longer this line goes. But I’m really hoping that there’s enough spread and depth to the collection to continue my trend of at least one figure per preorder. So far, I’ve built a nice collection with Demolition, Jannetty, Slaughter, Macho, Andre (black strap), and am awaiting the British Bulldogs, Duggan, and Powers of Pain. Keep em coming! Thanks for the support man. Next 6 guys…5 never had LJNs.

I know you guys are focusing on a somewhat limited time period but have you discussed signing international stars from the past that would be toyetic? Inoki, Tiger Mask, Jushin Liger, Bruiser Brody, Abdullah The Butcher, Giant Machine? Or maybe El Santo, Mil Mascaras, LA Park, Konnan, Blue Demon/Jr., Dos Caras, etc.? I’d love to do a few of those.

What about an Indy God Version of you and Steph DeLander in a wave. This way theres another Matt Cardona but the original holds its value. Brian in different gear or different pose? I can have him team with Outback Jack to take on the Powers of Pain when they come. This line is a dream line, it fills in the LJN gaps adds some newer faces to the rosters. Toymakers had the right move going with the WCW and CMLL lines but they were a bit to small. There will be another Myers and Cardona eventually in new mold. Likely not SDL. We will be doing more modern stars but 99% of them will stay in the Bendies line.

As a LJN fanatic, in the interest of trying to help make these better in any way possible I should also mention SCALE. It's been mentioned that they're "all 8 inches", and that it doesn't really matter with scaling because the LJNs were the same way. LJNs were sculpted by different model makers who didn't have the technology we have today so that justification is weak in my opinion. Marty was one of my favorites growing up and his figure came out nice, BUT his figure is huge, especially when standing next to Sarge's figure. He should be one of the smaller guys. Marty should have been a bit shorter. Sgt a bit bigger. But we don’t feel it effects the quality of the figure or look out of place when all together. There comes a time in the development/production process where certain unfortunate decisions need to be made due to cost and/or delaying figures.

I don’t want to say there will never be re-releases incase we do in a year or two and someone brings up this post, but as of now…NO RE-RELEASES! We want these figures to hold secondary market value. We want them in demand. We don’t limit them by quantity…only by time. I do feel for those who weren’t aware but we’ve done just about everything possible to promote these when up for pre-order. Ok thanks. How many have been made in total now with color variations? Asking so i can figure out the budget i need to catch up. I do hope you reconsider at one point. I see some selling for around 200$ already. At some point the average consumer is priced out. Keep up the good work! Lovin this line so far It’s just like any toy line , big or small. You join late, you have to pay the secondary market prices. 13 figures/repaints are in hand 7 figures/repaints orders are done and are being made currently Dusty and POP are for sale now

Would a re-done poll of 80’s talent who we think don’t have WWE Legends deals be of value? The problem is that it’s a guessing game in many cases. JYD and Santana have had recently announced independent figs, so are they no longer under Legends deals? Volkoff and Muraco, to my recollection, have had no figs in quite a while. Are they available? Then there’s people like Warlord and Dusty, who in a short span of time got Big Rubber Guys and WWE figures announced. Very confusing these days! Personally, I’m hoping it means we are trending toward less exclusive deals and ability to get figs from multiple companies and form factors! I don’t think a poll is necessary. We feel we know what the fans want and also…we are fans first! We check all the feedback and have wish lists of our own too. All of 2024 is booked. 2025 isn’t as we don’t want to sign talent and have them wait like other companies.

Any of these (series 1-6) still possible for a short run re-release or are they all pretty much sold out at this point? I don’t want to say there will never be re-releases incase we do in a year or two and someone brings up this post, but as of now…NO RE-RELEASES! We want these figures to hold secondary market value. I wanted to take this platform to send Matt, Brian, Kanik, TTD and everyone involved in Big Rubber Guys a personal and genuine Thank You for making this dream line a reality! As I’ve noted on here multiple times, LJNs are my favorite toy line ever, and have an enormous role to play in my life-long love of pro wrestling. Now, I recently started a thread to gauge interest in Mattel getting in on this form factor, to compliment your line with talent you don’t have access to. A majority of respondents stated disinterest, whether never liking or being “done with” this form factor. I know this is a small subset of wrestling figure collectors, but it is also the super-fans who, I’d think, are most likely to be interested in figures like these. So, this response makes it even more clear to me how special Big Rubber Guys truly is. The chance you all are taking in what is clearly a polarizing niche within a niche. I hope this line can keep going for years to come. Regardless though, just getting us the Smash and now Barbarian figures we needed to complete our tag teams from 35 years ago, already makes this line one of the best ever in my eyes. Oh, and creating a Hall of Fame worthy Macho Man? A very tan cherry on top! Thanks for your support. It’s been so nice much fun creating this line and getting feedback (good and bad) from fans to make the line better.
