He’s my favorite wrestler on the main roster. Dude has the entire package. He’s been jobbing to Roman and teaming with everyone’s least favorite Shane O Mac, that would explain why he’s stagnant Look at how badass he looked rising up behind the Undertaker on Sunday That was really really good TV right there. I don't know how often those guys practiced that, but the camera shot of him rising up behind Undertaker, then the timing when he took the spear from Roman was perfection. That is WWE production at it's very best. If Drew ends up being the deadman's opponent for next year's WM, they have an awesome highlight reel clip for that feud.

If the last couple of years have been any indication, it may very well look like this:
Preview Night: setup-in-progress; we would have seen most everything already...nope no Flashback on display yet...
Day 1: New figures will be added, big disappointment for Flashback fans when they see no new flashbacks revealed. Panel starts at 1:15: Ooohs and ahhs, along with some small boos from the Flashback fan section
Days 2-4: They busted out everything on Day 1, so we spend the rest of the days scouring other company's display booths and their upcoming toy lines.
RSC's Q&A with Mattel: generic questions, generic answers, nervous and sweaty - "we can't say much about that", "we're looking for a spot to put them in", "cancelling all flashback series for under performance" and irritating Owen Hart-fan questions that we all know the answers to.
RSC pre-orders are up: I order more wrestling socks!

Like I get that Cedric Alexander needed the win for his own career survival, but they did it at the expense of Drew. There was no making him look good, he lost to a 205 live guy...
WWE has dropped the ball on so many talents over the years that we're desensitized to this one, and it's a shame - Drew has so much potential to be a mega heel. He never recovered from WM against Roman, he did nothing against his little brother Seth, he's been a lackey for Dolph & Shane...poor guy, just collecting a fat pay cheque I guess.

WWE has these great potential villains in the form of Drew, Bray and even Samoa Joe, but instead of building these guys up to be mega heat-seekers and money makers, they flip flop their characters and careers so much that nobody cares. Drew and Joe lose so many important PPV matches that it hurts them in the long run. Bray's WWE title reign was a farce and he ended up losing so much to Ambrose. They are trying to rebuild Bray now, but they are doing nothing for Drew or Joe. All three guys have great looks - and Joe is heads-and-shoulders better on the mic than all of them, but WWE keeps insisting that these guys are putzes. So as much as I love Drew, yes he sucks .

None of the superstars today are organic. You always here that the truly successful stars were them cracked up to volume 11, case-in-point The Rock and Stone Cold. But there's also a good argument for stars who know how to reinvent themselves, Hulk Hogan and Jericho come to mind. And of course there is staying power through the decades like Undertaker and Ric Flair. John Cena is the personification of towing the company line and became hugely successful. These names are all LEGENDS and will easily fit anywhere in an all-time greats top ten list.
Who is Roman Reigns? Stuck in Shield-mode Who is Seth Rollins? Someone that likes to burn stuff down and wear Marvel gear Who is Dean Ambrose? Don't know, he left to be more creative elsewhere
Roman's character never got developed. They are riding on the heart strings of his real life leukemia battle. He might be a great guy personally, but the character sucks and as we get out of the PG-era, we'll hear his character talk tough and call people b*tch a lot. That's about how much growth-potential he has character-wise.

I did love the real moment Graves and Young had last night after the 24/7 segment that saw R Truth win back the title. "He got him with a small package" and they both snickered like little kids lol. I could just imagine Vince in guerrilla screaming at them to get back to the script!

I just can't get into Seth Rollins.
Although I know it wasn't his fault, the 9-year old Stinger-fan in me hates this guy for being a conduit to Sting's retirement; but that aside, he's a good hand in the ring. That's it.
NOTHING else is appealing about Seth Rollins. He might make Marvel fans aroused with his gimmick gear, but past that what is he about? What/Why is he burning it down? I don't get this man's character.
The money for SummerSlam would have been the Beast vs. the Monster. I wouldn't event book Braun to win, but set up a series of PPV main events culminating in his win. I don't get the appeal of Seth. The curb stomp is a STUPID signature move, but it's better than the buckle bomb because I don't want to see another wrestler take that move the wrong way again.

When the Usos get caught for drinking they usually end up winning titles the very next night.

tarver89 dude you gave me the feels; I should be looking up to you with the quality of customs you've been producing over the years! case-in-point: your Mattel London & Kendrick! Picture posts I always look forward to are from PJ and ckhybrid <-- I don't know where you guys find space to store all the stuff you collect, but I so appreciate all the pictures. There's been more than one occasion where your pics influenced me to buy something I otherwise wouldn't have. And talk about separated at birth, Nivro™ and I agree on 99.9% of everything wrestling related. There are times I don't have to reply to a thread because he's already eloquently replied with what I was thinking. Shout out to all the guys who respond to the weekly RAW and SDL threads; you're hilarious and keep me entertained! Wish NXT still had it's own thread instead of lumping it with UK

any fix up to shorten him? someone suggested E44 Sin Cara in another thread. I went online to see that figure going for $70+!!! and i immediately asked myself "Why?!?! it's Sin Cara for crying out loud!". But i was able to find a cheaper auction from the UK and bought one last night. Hopefully I will get it in the next few weeks and do the fix-up, fully knowing I'm going to lose a bit of the "88" on his knee.

We haven't done it for a while now, but when @zombieapocalypse and I would trade, we'd always include extra parts we didn't ask for. Some of those parts I've received from him has inspired me to customize figures I wouldn't have thought about before.

Great thread! Someone who doesn't get nearly enough praise but comes through for me across the border every time is Goldust. We've got this North-South Connection tag team thing going on, just like Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch, except I'm North as in Toronto and he's obviously Adrian Adonis.

I always look forward to this thread when a new Elite series is released and man you never disappoint! I've got a fix-up for Ciampa in-mind when my next Ringside order comes in. And I'm trying to think of how I can fix Ricochet's height, but short black calves that are not kicker molds are eluding me atm.

I don't think a few more pics of everyone's favourite Prince (Puma) will hurt . Yes he's pretty out-of-scale, but not too crazy. Just like ckhybrid said in his post, I wish we could add knee pads, but then we lose the detail on his "EST 88". I fully expect more Ricochets in the future, hopefully Mattel can correct these issues. Also, I don't have Dean Ambrose's hoodie, but I think it would be a great stand-in for his other entrance gear when he isn't wearing the wings. Big question I'm asking myself is, for an old school JCP/NWA/WCW fan & collector, how did an NXT roster sneak up in my collection!? The talent in today's WWE rosters is phenomenal: Three of the very best NXT has ever produced I'd say: And here's Mr. Rick O'Shea with an obligatory US title photo op and a beaming Ref Vince:

Dang I didn’t realize how in-scale Blassie’s head is! I think I’ve found a use for HEartbreak hotel set Razor Ramon’s pink pants!

This has happened to me recently but with the old style pegs. Just heat up the arm in boiling water to soften the plastic, then use those small hobby screwdrivers that are used to fix glasses and with a pointy bit at the end, just dig out the broken peg piece.

I honestly would never have expected you to be a fan of Ciampa. Really?! I am pretty sure I had mentioned before he was the reason I did watch any NXT. And again when someone asked why I bought his NXT Elite figure but not Gargano’s to complete DYI. My answer was I was fan of Ciampa so I wanted both his basic and Elite NXT figures but I only need the basic Gargano. Okay We know for a fact PJ only collects wrestlers he enjoys watching so with that said, I never in a million years expected you to be a Jinder Mahal fan!

Is there any Orton figure with ball jointed hips? I think they're the ones to fix up Ciampa with super muscolar upper legs. Thinking about Ziggler too, bigger but maybe a little less muscolar than Orton's ones. Any other suggestion? Thank you! Hey tarver89 elite Sid Vicious has the muscular randy Orton thighs with ball joint hips. Not sure if those thighs would make Chiampa too tall though. Skin-tones might be off too. Just found out that American themed Zack Ryder has ball joint hips and his thighs are also cut, probably a better height too, but does have black trim on the knees, which might work with Chiampa’s black knee pads.

I hop those hips are ball jointed, he’s too short, needs longer legs!

Yes. It's not that serious. Elites arent some amazing top notch thing and basics arent some bottom shelf dollar store knockoff. Not. That. Serious. I always laugh and feel a bit sorry when I read the " that figure is amazing, but unfortunately I only collect elites" posts. Like, yeah, that snickers sounds good but sadly I only eat mr. goodbar. You must have been living under a rock for the last 10 basics series. Bottom shelf dollar store knock offs everywhere should be insulted!
