Brock ending the streak could have been a great move if Brock was actually all in with the company. Instead, hes used as a tool to occasionally destroy everyone and then put over Roman and now Drew in the end.
Looking back at Summer Slam 2014, what Brock did to Cena would have made more sense if he lost to Undertaker at Mania. That loss could have set Brock off and thats why he killed Cena when he came back for Summer Slam. Granted, that was supposed to be Bryan that Brock killed so it's irrelevant I suppose.

While it was forced by circumstances, I was so happy this show was cut into two nights. Mania has become an absolute chore to sit through over the years. After night 1, I felt good and was interested to watch part 2. Just a few of my thoughts,
Night 1 - Thought Sami and Bryan put on a really good match. From an in ring perspective, this was the best wrestling on the entire show. Kudos to those guys. - Ladder Match stip was odd but a nice fun match. JoMo in a Ladder match is always fun to watch. Interesting ending, not the biggest fan but I guess it fits Miz/Morrison right now. - KO and Rollins was good. Nothing special. That elbow drop spot was tough to watch. - Goldberg and Braun= Yawn. Your two World Championship matches were less than 7 minutes long. COMBINED. I'll get more into it as it pertains to Brock Lesnar. - Undertaker/AJ took the cake for me. This was, no pun intended, phenomenal. Exactly what it should have been. The cinematic style, the realism in majority of match and the trash talking. For a feud that really served no purpose, THIS is how a match where two guys who hate each other should go. This was a war and obviously it comes off fake given the editing, you were invested and entertained. This match had no right being this good. Great job to everybody involved.
Night 2 -Not digging Rhea losing to Charlotte. Thought it would have bee a huge moment for Ripley and NXT for her to retain against the top womens wrestler in the company. -Edge and Orton just didnt do it for me. I just couldnt get into it from the get go. Edge should have had a one on one singles match against Rollins IMO. Rollins would be able to carry Edge to a good return match as Edge shakes the cobwebs out after 9 years. I just couldnt sit there and believe the story they were telling. The match was slow paced, mostly striking and slamming the others head into an object. Idk what the deal was with the commentary but it was outright horrible and they should have gotten ripped for it afterwards. They were actually whispering and acting as if we were witnessing the most inhumane acts of violence that they couldnt utter a single sentence. Didnt like the ending either. Dont climb up on a trailer at WrestleMania if somebody isnt going off it, not that I expected either man to. -Fiend and Cena was entertaining and thats it. Wish there was more action but thats what it was. I felt like they never really got going and it was leading to something bigger, more of a payoff if you will. But with that said, I commend them for the creativity and everything that they tied into it. If you go back and break it down it really was genius story telling. I popped hard at ITS SUCH GOOD SH*T, like almost crapped myself.
Then to the main event. Yikes. Normally Im okay when Brock does his shtick because the other title match is usually excellent. But when the other title match is Goldberg, you just cant have the exact same match and expect fans to be happy with it. Brock is more than capable of putting on a really good match. The whole idea of kicking out of three F5s (or spears) is just mind boggling to me. That one year where Brock was champ and beat Joe, Strowman and AJ with one F5 as he was going into Mania to Vs Roman. They tried to make the F5 seem so devastating for that time only for Roman to kick out of FOUR F5s on the show. To me, you book the match where Reigns keeps reversing out of the F5, trying to avoid it until Brock finally hits it. Roman kicks out of one to make for the big pop and that keeps all the other guys at a level. But after the second, you go home. Roman looks strong in defeat and the F5 still keeps its value. Drew and Lesnar was more of the same. How am I supposed to buy anybody beating Drew after he kicked out of three F5s? How am I supposed to believe AJ Styles, Rollins, Joe, anybody else on RAW is going to beat Drew after that?
Overall I think it was a good show and they really tried to make light of a really bad situation. Still, some bad and typical WWE decisions were made. Its hard to say where they go next as I believe they just wanted to get through Mania and take everything else day by day.

Judging by his comments, there's obviously some interest on Punk's part. And I don't see why WWE wouldn't be interested. So I think it'd be best for Vince/Hunter/Heyman/Punk to sit in a room to talk things over a bit. Maybe give Heyman creative control of a return story since him and Punk are so close. I also could see Fox paying part of Punk's salary to have him boost the ratings for SD. I feel like WWE was waiting to see what he would say/do on Backstage before any talks started. With that said, I firmly believe now Vince is going to open up the checkbook with a ludicrous offer and bend over backwards to get Punk back on HIS show in any way possible. The amount of buzz Punks return got for a FOX show was insane and Vince cant not see it. Vince is about business and if Punk is bringing eyes onto the FS1 show, Vince wants a piece of that pie. Will Punk agree to anything? Who knows. But judging from his comments, the butterflies are there and the door is cracked open a bit. Punk said that its a bridge that has to be built, well FOX is currently laying down the groundwork as we speak.

So strange. What kind of source does Meltzer have that gave him wrong information on if a guy did or did not make a speech? If someone did tell that to him, someone that has it out for Seth Rollins and wants to bury him and make him look bad? I mean there are probably worse things you could claim Seth did than give a speech. But you never know.

Blue strap? Good idea. Bumping a 2 year old thread? Not so much. Yeah, because it's completely irrelevant bump 🙄 He posted on twitter teasing using the belt. Oh yeah, and he actually IS Universal champion now. What's the issue? Probably the most useful bump I can remember, like ever. Sick belt. Hope he does use it.

DVR friday and wait till Tues to watch. I never watch any shows when they air any more except for maybe raw and that's just cause it's a habbit. That wouldnt work because RAW will just recap the sh*t out of Smackdown that Monday. Now if you really want to be smart, DVR both and watch Smackdown Monday and RAW Tuesday.

No company will ever put WWE out of business, except WWE. Like saying XFL would put NFL out of business.

I probably roll my eyes 10 times during any show with Michael Cole on it. He tries to force things way too often and they just come off horribly. Cole was recapping the entrance spot with Lashley and Strowman on RAW a few weeks ago and they are showing Strowman being stretchered into the ambulance, Cole has to say "They turned their attention to the Monster Among Men Braun Strowman". Like okay dude, we get it his nickname is the Monster Among Men. You dont need to remind us every time we see him on screen thats his nickname, or even everybody for that matter. His entire delivery of that nights spot was so bad. This past Sunday during Undertaker/Reigns V Shane/Drew. Shane has Undertaker on the announce table and hes going for the Elbow off the top rope. Cole SCREAMS into the headset, "NO SHANE NO UNDERTAKER IS DEFENSELESS!". Well, no sh*t Cole. This is an Extreme Rules match is it not? Should Shane wait until Undertaker wakes up from his nap to jump on him? I dont know why but it irritates the crap out of me listening to this man try and sell something. Everything is just overdone and too script-like. How much of that forced commentary of Cole's is Vince bitching in his ear though? Gotta consider that. Im sure it plays a big role but Im not sure if I just have a hard on for Cole but anytime he isnt announcing, I dont get bothered by the announcers. He needs to stop with the yelling thats for damn sure.

I thought Smackdown was just flat out boring. Shame too because Smackdown used to be the better show in terms of quality.
Something that irked me was why after being sent home from the building, attacking Shane and then leaving, was Kevin Owens miraculously backstage and all geared up ready for action? Would have been a cool moment to see Owens music hit, then after 10 seconds Owens is walking through the crowd in his street attire, and taping his fists getting ready to fight Ziggler. Ziggler just made some phone calls and KO was back in the building, got changed and walked through Gorilla when his music played with no problem.

I miss the days when the cell was used if a feud reached boiling point. It needs to stop being an October thing. Same can be said for the Elimination Chamber. It should only be used when a multiple amount of challengers chase the belt. Agreed, 2009/2010 were ridiculous years when match types became their own PPVs: - Elimination Chamber - Fatal 4 Way 🤦🏽♂️ - Breaking Point (submission matches) - Hell In A Cell - TLC To me, HIAC is the match that ended a heated rivalry, now it’s just a overdone gimmick. On a side note that was the first Talk is Jericho I listened to since Jericho joined AEW and it was a good listen. Gimmick PPVs suck ass. CM Punk Vs Ryback in a Hell in a Cell? Why? Del Rio Vs Punk Vs Cena in a Hell in a Cell? Orton Vs Sheamus? I hate seeing feuds start and just get tossed into a HIAC or a TLC match because thats the next PPV. The only recent gimmick PPV I'm actually okay with is Money in the Bank. Everything else needs to go.
