I resent the title of this thread. THE POWER OF POSITIVITY guys, why speculate that something this awesome could go sour before it's even begun? It'll give the miserablites a breeding ground to vent their negativity and spoil it for themselves, and possibly other people. Just enjoy it. This can't go wrong. Even if a solid mid card run is all 2016 has in store for AJ, that is not a misuse by any stretch of the imagination. If anything id sooner he feuded in the midcard with Owens, Ambrose, Harper, Neville etc before they tried to push him higher. As NXT has shown, capitalising on a ready made star like AJ would work best when built gradually and not forced. The roster has such depth right now AJ has 5* potential opponents in all directions. This rocks. Idk to me a midcard run is misuse. The main event scene is lacking right now. I'm not saying anyone that's a fan favorite and has the ability should be WWE champion. But Styles has everything to be champion or at least a constant main event impact player. If Daniel Bryan went to TNA or some other promotion everyone would expect him to be a main event guy. But what if they used him as a midcarder. Everyone would be pissed, and no one would say he should be happy with an upper mid card run. Why is it backwards for WWE?

I think they definitely see that they have a great talent. By all accounts, he should be a WWE champion if used correctly. IMO, him being in the upper mid card is misusing him. I know that might rub people the wrong way, but he has every tool to be the guy. No reason he shouldn't be other than WWE saying "no".

Simple yes or no. I've got a bad feeling about it. His booking last night didn't scream "we are so happy to have a top 5 current wrestler in the world"
So does WWE flub this up, or do they realize what they have?

In a dream scenario.. Triple H comes out and hands the title to AJ Styles That or he comes out, opens his mouth for a promo and then Styles music hits and he comes down and says he's here to be the best and challenges HHH. Then HHH makes some kind of match for fast lane that includes AJ for the #1 contender spot

"Let me beat you, then you beat me later" is not putting someone over. Not like he pinned Reings is it? No he just beat the whole roster in a match that could have changed the course of the WWE had they had the balls to do something different. What's best case scenario for Mania? Reigns wins? That's super obvious. When it is that obvious, he's not really getting a rub. How does he get a rub in a match that everyone knows he's winning going into it. And if somehow he loses and HHH leaves as champion, then my point is proven even more. He put Reigns over at TLC when Reigns beat the hell put of him. That shoulda been it. HHH shoulda positioned another guy to take out reigns. But no he's like "I can handle it myself" which is inconsistent with him getting completely destroyed at TLC. It's bad booking and doesn't make sense

Oh look a generic lets bitch at HHH thread. He won so he can put over Reigns at WM but let's ignore that part "Let me beat you, then you beat me later" is not putting someone over.

I feel like the same people that are unhappy are the same ones that are always unhappy. In every RAW thread. In every PPV thread. In almost every WWE thread. I won't be one of those people that say "if you don't like it, don't watch it" but brothers, I don't understand why you continue to put yourselves through something you don't enjoy. Agree. I've been a fan for 20 years. Never stopped watching, and have never like HHH. He's my least favorite wrestler of all time. I don't mind Reigns. I bought Wrestlemania tickets in November since it's just 3 hours away from me. But God forbid I complain about it because I don't like the result from last night. I should just stop watching right ? Ive invested a part of my life into wrestling and now a pretty good chunk of change on a Mania trip, but I should just stop watching and sell my tickets right? That's the dumbest thing ever. This is a forum, there's always going to be positive vs negative on this site. There's nothing wrong with negative. Discuss it, share your opinion either way. But when people start to act like another's opinion doesn't matter and tells them to just change the channel is the worst. I don't want to see someone who hasnt worked in almost a year go into Mania as champion and I don't want to see a guys journey (Reigns) back to the title that he already had in the first place.

Doesn't this make HHH a 15 time champion? Flair record is tied before the end of 2016 for sure

Triple H returning would be the worst. He was on NXT and all over WWE.com for Lemmys funeral.

I hope WWE comes out of left field and produces a shocking moment. They have failed us 2 Rumbles in a row by going with the complete obvious. This Rumble is even more obvious than the last 2. I hope they put Reigns at #1, let him go until the end, Have HHH run out and eliminate him. Boom, You have a big feud heading into WM. Then there is the next obvious choice, Brock Lesnar. Clear as day obvious. I REALLY dont want to see back to back main events with Reigns/Lesnar. What can they possibly do this time around that they didnt do in the first match? Their first match sucked until Rollins came out and saved the whole thing. Another thing, WWE needs Daniel Bryan more than ever. They have been very quiet about his return. I feel like if he doesnt come back and win the RR this year, His WWE career might be done. More like failed 4 rumbles in a row. Sheamus, John Cena, Batista, Reigns. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Mysterio in 2006 was the last person to win it that was unexpected and worked at the time. Most people loved it at the time. Almost 10 years since the Rumble has has had a perfect ending

Oh yes. It was amazing. Never been in a crowd so involved with every move. I was standing from the entrance music until the final bell. When Taker did the dive over the top, I though he was hurt for sure. I really thought HBK was gonna win by count out. It was just so emotion filled, every thing was so smooth.
I met Taker at Wizard World in October and was able to tell him that the Mania 25 match was my favorite match of all time, and he said it was his too. I also asked him how bad he was hurt on the dive, and if he thought he couldn't get back in the ring at any time. He said as soon as he landed everything the lights in the arena started flashing in his head and he heard a loud thumping sound in his head for about 10 seconds. He said he broke his pinky because when he landed it got stuck between the mats. I'd never heard that before so that was cool. He said he stood up and heard the refs count and said he'd better get back in the ring. He then said that Shawn is the best there ever was.

So your telling me Chris masters, Carlito. Shelton Benjamin, Rico, Evan Bourne, Chris Nowitzky, Maven, Snitsky, Luther Reigns, Lance cade, the heart throbs, max moon, A train, Brodys Clay, Yoshi Tatsu, and about a million more get in? That's just off the top of my head. There's tons of names that will never get in. Matt Bloom is a sure fire Hall of Famer, I have no idea why anyone would think otherwise. I don't think so. If so, at least 10 years away. Can't think of one time he was over, ever.

I actually was there for Rumble 2007. One of my favorite live moments I was ever a part of, only topped when it came full circle when I was at Mania 25 for HBK vs Taker

I have said it before and I will say it again.... eventually everyone who hasn't burned a bridge with Vince McMahon or the WWE will be in the Hall of Fame. The WWE treats the HOF each year as a show, as a part of the Wrestlemania weekend festivities. No to the free birds. Michael Hayes has said worse than Hogan ever has. No place for him on the HOF, lucky to still work for the company

Idc what anyone says, HHH vs Reigns does not scream biggest Mania of All time main event. If Daniel Bryan is healthy, it writes it self and Mania is saved. If not there are still way better options than HHH vs Reigns. Would much rather see Lesnar vs Owens, Lesnar vs Reigns II, Lesnar vs Rock, Lesnar vs Reigns vs Ambrose.
My other matches are Lesnar heavy but come on you know he's gonna be in it.

Didn't Gallows and Anderson try to help AJ when they kicked him out? Who says they can't start their own WWE Bullet Club They faked like they would help and then joined in on the beatdown. But even so, the Bullet Club is such a tired stable and idea. Let it die. Pretty fresh to the WWE audience though
