at some point AJ HAS to move on from a feud with Ambrose I prefer it not to a feud with Ellsworth....because.....really. Ambrose is still over, and still one of the top guys on SD. Realistically he SHOULD be going at least for the IC title. Step down? yes, but since he failed to re-capture the WWE title, it makes sense logically. Which of course means AJ/Dean at the Royal Rumble A big concern for Smackdown is who else could realistically feud with AJ? Dolph? Their top guys besides Dean and Cena are all heels (Miz, Orton, Wyatt, Corbin). Unless Undertaker works the Rumble, I don't know if they have another option. I feel this way, too. It'll most likely be AJ vs. Dean vs. Ellsworth for that reason. Then, a random Elimination Chamber match in February, and Cena tying Flair's record at Mania. None of which sounds appealing to me, to be honest.

I'm fine with them getting it over with tonight. As long as it's not a feud. Well I've got a better betting record than bangarang in the RAW threads, so I might as well go all in and say you're about to get more bad news. It's not going to be a feud. They're obviously leading towards an Ellsworth vs. Ambrose vs. AJ PPV match, which is still awful, but whatever.

Yuck. Hopefully, Ambrose gets himself intentionally DQ'd.

Should they? No. Would they? Well, I mean... Didn't Bob Holly get a title match at the rumble once He did. But it actually made sense at the time since he came back from a broken neck that he suffered against Lesnar. The unfortunate part was that, well, it was Hardcore Holly that they did the "redemption" storyline with.

Who else is there to feud with AJ for the title right now? Assuming no Taker, they wouldn't seriously give Ellsworth a title match at Royal Rumble, would they? Should they? No. Would they? Well, I mean... The only hope I have that they won't put that match on a PPV is because Ellsworth is a heel now. And I doubt they'd do an all-heel title match at the Rumble.

Also, please don't tell me that Ambrose being on Miz TV is a sign he's being demoted to an IC Title feud. OK, I won't... Who else is there to feud with AJ for the title right now? Assuming no Taker, they wouldn't seriously give Ellsworth a title match at Royal Rumble, would they?

So Carmella is the one outing Nattie as Nikki's attacker? That would make the heel right if it turns out to be true, which doesn't make any sense. That's sort of what Rikishi did in 2000 when he revealed he was doing someone else's dirty work for them by running over Austin.

Here's what I don't understand - why are we, the audience, supposed to be under the impression that it's so hard to believe that Natalya would stab her friend in the back when that's exactly what happened over the summer?

I hope they're just overplaying AJ's injury and he's not really hurt.

They really have a chance tonight to turn Ambrose back into Stone Cold 2.0 mode like the way he was the night after MITB when he became champion. That night, IMO, should have been a reflection of how they booked Ambrose on a nightly basis while he was champ. Tonight, I don't want any promos or any jokes. Have him come out and just annihilate Ellsworth to give him that edge back. Referees come out to try and stop him, Ambrose runs right through them, too. He should be booked as a man on a mission and needs to be right on the brink of being a heel or a face - just an asskicker who's out for revenge and to get what's rightfully his. I've been saying for months/years now that the crowd is most behind Ambrose when he's booked this way. As awesome and hilarious as he is on the mic, they need to move away from that for a while now.

You're not possibly going to try and defend this booking decision, are you? Well... if you'd read... I already said I wasn't happy about Ellsworth showing up. But I still enjoyed the show and the matches. Believe it or not, I don't sit around reading every post of yours the way you do with me.

I'll say it again for the millionth time - I think SmackDown has been far very good since the brand split. And then this entire thing with Ellsworth took over the show and it's been a train wreck since then.
