Guts me every time I see Xavier talk about him, because the three times I've seen him talk (video after it happened, where he had a compilations of Harper's moments on Up, Up, DoWn, Down, on Raw Talk with Kofi and R-Truth, and this video), he's fighting so hard to not break out into tears.

Don't know the last time I watched Raw live, but had to catch the beginning to see what they did. Glad they did the right thing and put the graphic up. Honestly, with how liked and respected he was, I think if they didn't, they'd have a lot of ticked off people in the locker room.

Looks like Mick Foley is following in CM Punk's footsteps and donating any money made on his Pro Wrestling Tees merch to Brodie's family.

Decided to post the responses from both Seth Rollins and Randy Orton
Seth Rollins: "I was hoping at some point that the perfect words would come to me, but the truth is I still can’t even come to terms with reality on this one. My heart is so broken. I loved Brodie. He was truly all the great things everyone has already said he is and if you ever met him you’d have known it in an instant.
He was a loving husband. A devoted father. He was a kind soul. A loyal friend. He was a grinder too, man. Passionate and thoughtful. Smart and funny. Dude had an infectious laugh and was such a crap stirrer. He was a person I looked forward to...and it god damn kills me to know I’ll never be able to do that again...
Back in FCW, I vouched HARD for Brodie to get hired at WWE based on knowing and working with him briefly in ROH. We spent a little time in Tampa together, but The Shield debut took me on the road pretty soon after he moved down. Luckily, the Wyatt Family followed us out of developmental shortly thereafter and let me tell you he was a real treat to have on the road. That’s where we really got to know each other.
I’ll always love him for prodding Bray and Braun to see how far they’d take their ridiculous oneupsmanship. He was often a monitor sellout because we’d all be waiting to see how many of Dana’s poses he’d sneak in during his match. He even came to me to try CrossFit when he wanted to lean up. I think he hated burpees more than I do. Funnily enough, he and I almost came to blows backstage during the Shield/Wyatt series. We were both so fired up trying to do right by our respective squads that we tended to get a little snippy towards each other. It was the best. He was the best.
And I’m smiling so big as I’m remembering all this good stuff, fighting back tears. I thought writing this would just be all crying and sadness, but it’s impossible to remember Brodie without laughing. He was just a light of good energy.
I looked up to Brodie. Not just because he was a physical mountain of a man, but because of how he was as a father and husband. And as I venture into those realms myself now, I really hope I can carry a bit of him with me. I hope I can be to my family even a little of what he was to his.
Love you, big man. Miss you already."
Randy Orton:
"I knew Luke from work. I always called him Luke. Some of us call each other by our ring names, some real names. It gets confusing, but I always called him Luke. I’ve been in a wwe lockeroom more than half of my existence, and there is an unwritten code. Respect is at the top. You all have heard about how much we all respected Luke, about how much we all enjoyed his presence. It is a fact. I’m telling ya, on the back of a bus, traveling and away from family for weeks in a row, he was one of the ones I’d make sure to secure a seat on that bus next to. I’m not perfect, never thought I was. Neither was he. But talking to him, and conversing about our families, as most husbands/fathers do on these trips at some point, I learned that he was near perfect when it came to how he loved his sons and his wife Amanda. His wife was close to my wife, and she considers Amanda one of her dear friends when it comes to the word ‘friend’ in this biz. You see, many times there are acquaintances, or co workers, or fellow talent, but with Kim and Amanda, I felt as if they had that female intuition thing going on and were meant to be friends. Amanda’s attitude about the business her husband was in was a very positive one. It had given them everything, as it has me and my family. But often, as in most professions there are times when you get down on your current status. Luke and I often talked about the biz, and how it affected our lives, our families, and us as men. I remember him saying that he wanted to do more, and knew that he was capable of doing more. He was. Seeing him have the balls to take that leap of faith and seeing him make the decision was an inspiration to me. I was always very proud of him and out of my peripheral vision I watched him as a fellow 20 year vet and saw many things that impressed me. Not just his work inside the ring, but how he treated others in the back. I’m telling you guys reading this, that this mans character IS unmatched. I have many stories involving Luke and I, and I will always cherish them. Know that he was a great human being. I will be in that same lockeroom tomorrow and look forward to sharing stories about my friend, Luke. #RIPLukeHarper."

That's the thing that's got to make it doubly sad for his family, is from here on out, the holidays will always have that attachment of the time of year that they lost him. I saw someone mention in the comments on the other site, talking about how at the Holiday Bash tapings, where Brodie Jr. 'won' the title from Omega. They were speculating, maybe the seriousness of whatever ended up taking his life was known to the AEW crew, and they did that as a way to try and give some cheer in some bad times. Now that we’re here, I think it was clearly done to make them feel better if only just for a moment. When I read about it last week or whenever it was, my first thought was “ohh maybe this means Brodie’s return is imminent.” If his family is there, surely so is he. Unfortunately, it was the absolute complete opposite. Yeah, the way things are looking, whatever the lung issue he had whether it was cancer or something else, probably took a bad turn around the time of when they did the tapings, and so they decided to do something for his oldest son, to maybe take his mind off of it for a brief moment, and maybe even to give Brodie himself a happy moment.

Was just about to post it. Bray did a good tribute to a fallen friend, and once I started seeing wrestlers sending their thoughts, it was Bray's that I was interested to see.

Like I mentioned in the AEW thread of his passing, it sucks doubly for his family due to the timing. It's never easy to lose someone, but to lose them during the holidays, a time that's supposed to be happy, it really can just make the pain worse, because in following years, you always have that attached to the holiday season. When you look at all the responses from wrestlers coming out, whether they're AEW, WWE or elsewhere, the one common thread in all of them, was how much he loved his family, and how much of a good man he was. This was truly the loss of one of the real good ones.

man wow. this is just unbelievable. so sad and seemingly out of the blue. I'm at a loss. A terrible loss for his family during these holidays. Wow talk about completely out of the blue, this sucks. I loved his work (I'll say though, I never liked the whole Mr. Brodie Lee gimmick), and I don't think he ever truly got his due, even in AEW. Was clear he was a man that truly loved his family and if there is any small consolation it's that he died with those he loved around him. RIP big man.

You could tell he appreciated his fans so much.Such a down to earth good person. Really can tell the type of person a celebrity is, by the way they treat their fans. You could tell he loved to entertain and he clearly appreciated that fans enjoyed his work. And man, it's amazing to think, he's one of those cases, of one instance changing his coarse in life. If he hadn't injured his knee, today we might know John Candy as the football player and not the actor.

Not just Hogan, guys like Jesse Ventura and Scott Steiner were influenced by him, and it was a segment where Vince McMahon interviewed Graham, that apparently got Paul Heyman interested in wrestling, and made him decide, pro wrestling it what he wanted to do. You take Billy Graham out of the equation, remove him from the history of wrestling, and we'd have a drastically different world of wrestling today. I'd never known that about Heyman. Amazing! So you can add no ECW to that list. Yeah, I did a little looking up before posting to add some specific names of people he influenced, and saw that. Couldn't find beyond a post on another site, but someone claimed that DDP was into wrestling because of Graham too.

And Hulk Hogan (and therefore the golden era) would never have happened. There'd have been no WCW Nitro or WWF Raw, no WrestleMania, no Attitude. It's kind of crazy how someone who gets so overlooked is singularly responsible for so much. You are so right brother. Most people forget or don’t know, there is no wrestling as we know it without Graham’s influence. Not just Hogan, guys like Jesse Ventura and Scott Steiner were influenced by him, and it was a segment where Vince McMahon interviewed Graham, that apparently got Paul Heyman interested in wrestling, and made him decide, pro wrestling it what he wanted to do. So I was wondering, and I'll ask this without really giving spoilers, but has it been confirmed what The Book is? Is it a spinoff or is it the third season? Everything points to a spinoff. That's what I was thinking when I first saw it. Then I started thinking maybe it was a way for a different direction with the next season, and I saw others were thinking it. I do hope it's a spin off. I will say with the group that's involved with the Mandalorian, this is what you get when you have people who love and respect Star Wars, and show respect to both the lore and characters as well as the fans of the Star Wars world.

Saw that last week when I was at the closest Lego store around here when I went to find some sets for my nephew for Christmas. They had it set up on one side of the entrance into the store, and I have to say it's impressive. If money wasn't an issue and I had the space for it I could see myself getting it. Combining two of my loves, Legos and history.

Man, just saw this on one of the wrestling sites, this sucks. For a guy that usually played the hard ass bad guy, he seems like he was a big teddy bear in person. Sadly, it's at the point though, that 2020 has beat us all down so much, I'm not too surprised to hear of him passing sadly.

It's just how Hughes was. He would love you one second but any kind of rejection and he would cut you off forever. Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall both said at the time of John Hughes' death that they had not talked to him in 25 years even though they both reached out over the years. Both had started rejecting Hughes scripts in the late 80s as to avoid typecast and Hughes never forgave them. The only reason Ally Sheedy was in Only the Lonely was because Ringwald said she wanted more mature roles, so Hughes was basically saying "this could have been you". Candy though it was odd. He was telling friends that he had plans to buy a house near Hughes and they had all these ideas and projects. It wasn't that Candy rejected Hughes, any project Hughes brought to him he wanted to do. But because Candy seemed like he wouldn't just take the first offer, Hughes felt rejected. I really don't see how John Candy as Gus Polinski would fit into Home Alone 2. His character would be out of place in that movie. Sad to know that about Hughes and Candy. That story about his reaction to O'Hara not having her own trailer sounds like a classic Candy, standing up for a friend kind of move. It would have been stretch having his character show up, but I guess they could have done something along the lines of Kevin encountering him in New York and helping him in some way. But I agree it would have seemed a bit too forced. Then again, the sequel can be seen as a bit far fetched too, in that Kevin runs into Marv and Harry again nearly 800 mile away from the last time he encountered them, also away from his family, so with that maybe Gus popping up wouldn't have been that out there. I mean the guy did travel and the Polka King of the Mid-West may have been trying to expand his empire.

Immortals Fenyx Rising. From what I've played so far I'm loving it. It's got a good mix of humor and serious moments and I totally see the how it's like if you took Assassin's Creed (specifically Odyssey) and Breath of the Wild, and mashed them together.

Okay I’m ready for the Boba Fett figure in armor from the Mandalorian. That’s gonna be a great figure. Also the Mortar Shell stormtrooper. I really do like that look of the classic armor over the robe. Just a cool look.

With first Howard Finkel in April, and now Pat, those are two major losses in terms of the early history of Vince's WWE.
