For almost a year now, TNA has been getting the same rating, 1.0, 1.1, and the same PPV buys from the same fans that have been watching since the start back in June 2002, or since they were on Spike T.V. They have tried alot of things to get more fans to watch, to get a higher rating, to get more PPV Buys, to finally be competition for WWE. Because lets face it, they are not Competition right now.
TNA has moved to a prime time slot, they have brought Sting in and it didn't help. They brought Christian Cage and it helped a little bit with PPV buy rates but not much ro say anything. Then everyone thought when they brought in Angle they would be getting higher rating and he did nothing. I think they got a point higher in rating this week but again nothing major. TNA has also had some dream matches for fans on Impact like AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle, Kurt Angle vs. Sting. They also had some awesome matches with AJ and Joe and alot of others.
They are now trying to reduce the wrestling and do what WWE is doing and that is have more storylines and segments. That is not working either. They have had title changes on Impact and that did nothing. My question is what does TNA have to do do get more PPV Buy, to get Impact atleast to what Smackdown is doing in the 2.5 range. I guess the only thing I can think of is brining in someone huge like Hogan, Rock, Austin or brining in a huge talent currently working for WWE like Cena or Batista if and when there contract would expire but TNA wouldn't have the money for them.
Anyway, again what does TNA need to do to get a spike in there ratings and viewers. 2 Hour time slot? Bigger Names? More Wrestling? More Storylines?
