The 10/10 Coral Springs and 10/11 Orlando events have been postponed and will be rescheduled for early 2009. All tickets purchased for these events will be honored on the new dates. We hope to have a new dates announced next week. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your support. - Courtesy of ROHGabe on ROH Message board.
I assume that ticket sales were low but you can't help but wonder what they will do as 10/11 was set to be their annual Survival of the Fittest show. The only other shows in Oct are 10/24 in Danbury CT and 10/25 in Edison NJ, both revolving around the Motor City Machine Guns appearing.

I can understand because it's after Hurricane Season. An MMA promotion also postponed their event in the Florida area due to this. I don't see it being a big deal.

The economy being in doom also doesn't help things.

No need to really even have the SOTF. Just skip it completely.

Maybe ticket sales were down. Why would they be? They drew well last time in Florida. They are postponing it IMO because of problems with the arena or the Hurricane season issue.

Maybe so, but that doesn't deflate the possibility.

Maybe so, but that doesn't deflate the possibility. Not at all, could be any of the reasons mentioned.

They said they are coming back next year & will announce the dates in a couple of weeks, so it might have something to do with the potiental weather & ticket sales. I still think WM played a huge role in the good ticket sales the first time around

I would say that with the possibility also of something bad happening, why risk it.

I believe Meltzer was reporting that a good majority of the first and and second row seats were still available. So that probably tells you how shitty ticket sales were.

So then it probably was bad ticket sales like Blade had mentioned which explains why ROH didn't mention the reason. If it had to do with it being hurricane season it probably would of been mentioned where here ROH just announced it was canceled with no explanation. Kind of a shitty thing to do but whatever I'm not getting into it as I really don't care. Sucks for the fans in the area though.

The issue has something to do with the area. Another possible factor is the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippor also falls during that week, making travel an issue for many of the staff and several wrestlers. From what I remember all that remained were 3rd row, 4th row, and GA for the South Florida event, and 5th row for Orlando. All tickets will be honored during the events next year.

ROH is in really bad shape right now. How is the promotion in really bad shape? Just because they postpone two shows? Do you know how many times they've done that in the past?
