I like most of the characters on Heroes, but my five favorites are:
1. Sylar
2. Claire Bennett
3. Peter Petrelli/Nathan Petrelli- I like both of them equally.
4. Noah Bennett-I don't know if he counts, but he is a character from the show. He doesn't need powers to be cool.
5. Hiro Nakamura
With a nod to Matt Parkman, I think he is actually pretty bad ass. I like the telekinesis as well. He can manipulate people and read their thoughts. The X-Men vs. Heroes would be awesome.

This one took a little thought, so sorry to bump an older thread.
Honorable Mention: Mr. Linderman... as mentioned before by Sasso, just the fact that he is played by Malcolm McDowell makes him awesome. But Linderman seemed like a very cool antagonist that we never really got to know. I hope his current involvement proves interesting.
#5. Hiro... He used to be my number one, but the show has been ruining his character for me (as it has ruined many of it's characters). I love the geek who discovers powers and determines to become a superhero rather than be emo or live in fear like almost everyone else. But the writers continue to make Hiro bland and annoying with most of my complaints about his plot in season 2. I am hoping that season 3 finds better writing for Hiro Nakamura.
#4. Elle... Part of my liking of her is that she was Veronica Mars, but she made a great villain. She is screwed up in the head and has major issues with her role in life. She kills without remorse and enjoys inflicting pain in a giggling schoolgirl manner. I dare say she was the ONLY good thing to come from season 2 and easily the best written character of those abysmal episodes.
#3. Claude... He was so cool. An anti-social invisible man brought to extreme paranoia by the government. He helped make Peter interesting (sadly that was fleeting) while training him. Great casting and great writing for his character.
#2. Sylar... He's like the one character the show hasn't ruined despite bad writing and dumb plots. I think this is because of the brilliant performance of the actor himself. Sylar is still extremely creepy and I love the clockwork sounds in the background when he enters a scene. His is an evil not usually seen, not malicious, just obsessed. Despite dumb plot twists (does everyone have to be related to the Petrellis?) and lame storylines (he somehow ends up in the desert and just happens to meet Maya?), I am still intrigued by Gabriel Sylar.
#1. Noah Bennett... He is the show's Batman. He has no powers. he doesn't need them. Because without a doubt in my mind he could take out ANY of the characters on Heroes. He is just that good. He can be ruthless, he can be a bastard, he can be a protective father... he is capable of anything and I believe it. He is my favorite because without Horned Rim Glasses, Heroes would be nothing more than whiny, confused, or delusional people with superpowers.
