Even though this game is about 5-6 months away from being released, does anyone have an idea if this will be released on PS2, or just PS3 and XBOX360? The reason I ask is that I don't plan/can't afford to buy a PS3 right now and see that fewer games are being released on PS2 now since the PS3 has been out for a couple years.
Also, what would you like to see implemented? I would really like an "Argue Call" added like many other baseball games have.

The show wouldn't be on 360, it's made by Sony.
They should add actual fights that you can control to the game, like hockey games.

I want more accessories. I know some people think it's stupid but not everyone in baseball wears the same stuff.
In the "Show" franchise, there is only one wrist band, one arm guard, one shin guard and they are all only ONE color.
In the MLB 2K franchise there are so many more accessories options. You can have a player wear a batting glove under their fielding glove, wear glasses, the looseness/tightness of the jersey, the bagginess/tightness of the pants, color and style of shoes, color and style of sleeves, color and style of wristbands, arm guards, shin guards....
Those things are important to me. I enjoy MLB 2k8 more than MLB 08 the Show.

Yeah like said it's made by Sony for Sony systems only. MLB The Show is the best game out there.IMO It's gameplay is the only baseball game that comes close to the greatest franchise, MVP Baseball.

I just hope they release it on PS2 and not just PS3. MLB "The Show" franchise has been the EXACT same game on PS2 the last 4 years in a row. From the graphics, game play, player faces and options. The only way to justify buying a new game every year and being able to take advantage of the game improvements is to get a PS3. MLB 08 the Show and MLB 2k8 sucked major ass this year for PS2, but their PS3 versions are both outstanding. Playstation 2 is a DEAD CONSOLE....it's time to move on. I realize not everybody can afford a PS3, but rather than wasting money buying PS2 games, save up and buy a PS3 with that money.

I honestly only play about 2 video games a year, one of which is MLB and the other is a used game less than $10. I like the updated rosters. I realize I could do it manually but it would take hours and still wouldn't be as close as I would like it. Plus, I like the new players (Brett Gardner, Justin Christian" and being them in the game.

On MLB 2k8 for PS3 there are rain delays, and sometimes the umpires call of the game completely and you have to restart it and play a double header the next day.
*edit*
I wish they would bring back the mini-games like MVP 05 had where you could do batting practice to get your timing down and how to aim the ball off the bat.....,or take a pitcher into the bullpen and attempt to hit targets with different pitches so you got a feeling for how each pitch broke and moved based on who was throwing.

It needs to have a myskill like madden. I love the myskill autoslider feature. It works very well for me.

I've decided to go ahead and buy a PS3 in the next couple weeks. My PS2 is pretty much shot being the first release version.
As I said orginally, I think argue calls is a must.
I think I would like to see some new animatronics as well as some newly-recorded commentary though I'm doubtful we'll see either.
More minor league stadiums.
Expanded rosters in September.
Better World Series celebration.
And what I would really like to see: Classic teams like Madden has. For instance, the 1998 Yankees. Or the 1986 Mets. Teams playable in exhibtion modes.

i hope they add rain delays/double headers, expanded rosters, more realistic free agency (so not all the best pitchers sign with one team for 20 million less then i offer), being able to line them off the pitcher and better celebrations.

In MLB 2k8, there are rain delays and double headers, and I've had many line drives hit off my pitcher. I've also had outfielders collide if I forget to hit square to call off the other fielder. In MLB 08 The Show, the ball goes through players, and the players run right through each other. I like the fielding in 2k better than The show also.....everytime a ground ball gets hit to an infielder in The Show, he pumps the ball into his glove 17 times, triple clutches, crow hops, and then FINALLY throws the ball to first base. Because of the slow reaction, its impossible to turn double plays half the time, not to mention you can't get your 3rd basemen to throw the ball HARD to 2nd, he LOBS it over there. MLB 2k8 is way better than MLB 08 the Show.

They need to improve Road to the Show. You can only succeed as a starting pitcher. If you want to be a closer or hitter you won't make it. Right now I'm playing 1st base for the Trenton Thunder, it says I'm the best guy on the team, and I'm being benched. You can't improve because you have to use the points for goals and sometimes it won't help you improve. Also, they should give us an option of relief pitcher instead of just starter and closer.
