Now I know when this figure first came out it was a dream figure of most due to Paul Heyman being the creator of ECW.When this Figure was we all were foaming at the mouths cause ECW was about to make its comeback, and take over the world of Pro Wrestling again.... Well we were wrong I guess on both because ECW IMO turned out to be a dud,and the figure was terrible because when it shipped to all of us we got this: No box!!! The excuse was thats how it was shipped....Well thats not the case...Heres the story with pics. The figure came Mint in box... But Instead of saying Wrestling S*perStore it said this: So The figures were taking out of the boxes and they were destroyed... There are only 24 figures of this figure still mint in package and include the box....Pretty rare..... heres some more pics of this super rare figure I actually have a few of these....

Cool i never knew that. I don't know why they just didnt put a sticker over it with the right site. Like what they did when the RSC EX Flair and on the package it had his name spelt Rick. They just put a black sticker that said Ric

The sticker thing I dont think wouldnt of worked only because it was so big on the box...Plus people would of pealed it off only to see the other companys name...
I think it was a pride thing... Either way It makes it a pretty rare item due to there being so little of them still in package so im not complaining

But think about it...at the time ECW was red Hot,and on its way back with the reunion show...How could you go wrong...Back then Everyone looked at ECW at this Federation that could do no harm and was godly compared to WWE..The figure was a good idea, and from what I heard it sold well at first, but once people found out it had no box it really lost its value...All of the MOC collectors opted not to buy it due to it being out of package....

Odd. They should have just put a sticker like they did to all of Benoits pics, etc.

They should have just put a sticker like they did to all of Benoits pics, etc. Well even if that was the case Its pretty dumb that Jakks would mess up like that...Plus I dont think jakks realized what they did... If I had a company and had a exclusive item and when i got it in my main rival was on it I would be upset... Taking the figure outta the box IMO was dumb but the sticker thing Im thinking wasnt a option..

Your def.Right...but i think it was more of a pride thing...Im sure they were pissed that there rival companys name was on the box... It was def.handled the wrong way...

I actually used to have that figure MIB. I got it in a trade from someone on this board, like 2-3 years ago. It wasn't traded as some sort of super-rare figure... it was just part of a normal deal.
Interesting story.

Interesting story. interesting....Cause there are only about 24 of them that are still in the box....I believe only 4000 figures were made, and only 24 of them survived with the box

Speaking of IE mishaps I hear that IE Taz originally had the towel around his waist. Not sure how true it is but it'd explain a few things.
Never knew that's why Heyman was shipped out like that. I always figured they went the cheap route. Fun fact: This Heyman debuted the skinny arm mold seldom used.
