UFC is putting on another show in Ireland, it's scheduled for the week before the UFC on Superbowl weekend.
So GSP/ BJ 2 is now renamed UFC 94 & 93 is the week before with Franklin vs. Hendo & the rematch between Shogun & Coleman.
Franklin/ Hendo is a fight I've wanted to see for ages, plus the rematch will tell us what sorty of force Shosun will be after his knee injury & the adjustment to the cage & UFC rules. Also if Coleman will be a force at 205, I doubt but then most thought the same when Randy dropped down & took out Chuck & Tito!
Inmteresting fact is that the new UFC 93 just happens to put it directly against Affliction 2 rumoured to be headlined by Fedor vs. Barnett. A strong UFC at the same time is going to hurt Affliction's buy rates surely???

With this being the week before GSP/Penn II and in a foreign country, do you think this will be free, like Bisping/Leben? They can't expect us to pay $45 for each with the 2 shows a week apart. If it is free, that's one hell of a free show. But if Fedor/Barnett headlines Affliction, I'll buy that and DVR 93.

I don't know about Hendo/Rich.

I was just gonna post this....
I'm sooo stoked for this PPV. Coleman's one of my idol's. I've met the guy a few times at wrestling tournies in Ohio, He's awsome.
And as for Rich/Hendo, I don't really know who to go with, I mean hopefully Rich can keep the fight standing, but if it does go to the ground, he may be able to keep his own with his sick counters. I may actually save up and fly to Dublin for this fight.

wow.
now that is a PPV. I am really excited for Henderson/Franklin. I may be crazy but I am pulling for Franklin. I think Rich is an EXTREMELY smart fighter who is well versed in every aspect of the game...he gave Matt Hamill trouble whenever Matt would shoot for a takedown and Rich would avoid the majority of them. He can stand with the majority of the people in the UFC besides Anderson Silva. I am going out on a limb saying that '09 is the year Franklin wins the UFC LHW title. FTW.

The Franklin/Hendo fight should be great. Really looking forward to that fight. Like both fighters but am a bigger Henderson fan and hope to see him win. Maybe a win will get him a rematch against Silva.
Interested in seeing what Coleman can do at 205. Man was a stud a long time ago and should not count him out.
