Midway Games, which holds the license for TNA Wrestling, announced today they would be severing relationships with several licensees early as a cost cutting move to help the company, which has taken some pretty big losses in recent years. The company's official announcement doesn't specify which licensing deals it's gotten out of, but says the move will allow Midway to conserve development expenditures on what it calls "underperforming projects." The company went out of its way to list both TNA Wrestling and their forthcoming DC Comics vs. Mortal Kombat (set for an 11/16 release for Christmas season) as "strong", so TNA won't be effected. Midway is already working on their second TNA game with aspects of the company such as the TNA Knockouts and the Six Sides of Steel expected to be featured. One of the biggest complaints for the game I've heard is that the Knockouts weren't included, but much of the work for the game had been done far before the Knockouts division became so prominent on the company's TV.
Jakks Pacific, which is producing the forthcoming TNA action figure line in 2010 when their WWE deal expires, was already pushing TNA as coming soon at the Texas Toy Fair earlier this week, featuring photos of Kurt Angle, Jay Lethal, Booker T and AJ Styles. Wow, no Sting or Samoa Joe?
TNA switched around some PPV titles for the next several events. Turning Point (usually December) is next month. Final Resolution (usually January) is now December. Genesis (formerly November) is now January 2009. When you think about it, the new order makes a lot more sense. November and December are at the Impact Zone. At one point, November was going to be on the road but I believe was moved to Orlando. December was always scheduled for Orlando. January's location has not been decided yet but the plan was to hold most of 2009's PPV events on the road.
If anyone will be attending next Thursday's live TNA Impact broadcast in Las Vegas, we are seeking live reports.

TNA will be releasing very limited amounts of $20 tickets for the 10/23 Impact taping at the Joint in the Hard Rock Cafe & Casino, but the taping itself is very close to sold out.

The original booking the week going into TNA’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view had Kurt Angle defeating Jeff Jarrett but obviously things were changed.
The TNA talents who were not brought in for the iMPACT tapings this past week were kept off just for cost cutting measures. TNA was only shooting two hours of TV this week and didn’t need people there getting paid when they weren’t needed for matches or angles.
As posted last week, there was a lot more talk about Christian Cage being pretty much done with TNA during the Bound For Glory weekend. That talk went around a lot more once Christian did the clean loss at Bound For Glory. It’s said that Christian has become more disenfranchised on how the company is being ran and some feel that he is just going through the motions until it’s time to leave. Some also feel that if he’s gone, it really won’t matter that much and TNA will have the chance to focus on another talent who deserves the push.

There is talk that Christy Hemme will break away from Jimmy Rave and Lance Hoyt, turning face again. Apparently there is some in TNA who think Christy can be a face of the Knockouts similar to what Gail Kim was.
There were a group of wrestlers backstage watching the Bound For Glory main event between Sting and Samoa Joe on monitors and when Kevin Nash came out at the end, you could hear a collection of groans from most everyone watching.
Speaking of Nash, when he made the comments to In Your Head Radio about not being signed with TNA, he was right. When the two sides did work out a deal, they tried keeping it quiet from everyone, hoping to pull the swerve at Bound For Glory. That was pretty much ruined when the night before Bound For Glory at 1am, Nash showed up in the lobby of the hotel in front of most of the TNA roster, some of who were shocked to see him there.

TNA WRESTLING JOINS FORCES WITH MOBILE MEDIA GIANT CW MULTIMEDIA INTERNATIONAL
Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling announced today a new relationship with CW Multimedia International of Louisville, Kentucky, as its mobile media partner.
CW Multimedia International is a multi-faceted media marketing company that specializes in the mobile marketing industry, and will develop fully integrated TNA promotions and content for mobile cell phone users and TNA fans.
CW will debut its mobile marketing platform at a special live episode of “TNA iMPACT!” from Las Vegas on Thursday, October 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV. TNA will present a special “Hard Rock Hardcore Text-off Gauntlet Match” where TNA fans will be able to select in-ring opponents via text messaging and determine which weapons they will be using during the match.
“We are thrilled to be moving forward with a partner like CW Multimedia International. This new relationship allows TNA bring its fans even closer to the action by offering the latest cutting-edge innovations available in the mobile industry,” said TNA Director of Licensing Jason Walker.
“CW is excited to partner with the team at TNA Wrestling. We plan to create true interaction between the fans, TNA and the wrestlers themselves through our unique mobile campaigns. We feel that the fans deserve to be part of the event and should be able to have their voice heard. TNA will now allow them not only to voice their opinions but will give them the ability to make decisions within the broadcast that determines what will happen. TNA will become the most interactive company within the industry, once again raising the level of the fans experience,” CW President Chris Webb said.

People close to the situation regarding Johnny Devine's departure from TNA estimated him being in a $30,000 per year spot in the company.
Additionally, this is before airfare, road costs, hotel costs, and food costs, which TNA doesn't cover for most of their performers.
