Does anybody else think the "Cross the Line" video on tnawrestling.com was actually REALLY well done? - It had a really serious feel to it. The video also finally made me understand what "Cross the Line" was supposed to mean in regards to the company. I thought it was great.

TNA's new slogan "Cross the Line" refers to the fact that TNA doesn't feature clear cut faces and heels. This has always been a mainstay of Vince Russo booking as he feels there are no true good and evil people in this world.
The video was put together well.

That is one thing people can't complain about with TNA. David Sahadi(sp?) & the rest of the crew does a GREAT job with video packages.

Actually, it's generally one of my bigger issues.
Some of the videos are pretty great, but a lot of stuff is really overproduced and ends up coming off as silly.

The majority of TNA's hype videos are really well done, including this one. (I personally loved the 2007 Turning Point opening video package.)
However, a company full of "tweeners" doesn't exactly fit the typical standards of a promotion. Sure, it's good they may be attempting to be different and what not, but when it comes down to it, people like to cheer the faces and boo the heels. It could also result in some confusion in the storylines which is never a good thing. I'm interested to see how far they go with it.

That was really great. I always thought their hype videos were awesome... except for their RU Ready remix with Macho Man Randy Savage.

They should produce more hype packages with the wrestlers doing the voiceovers. I'm tired of listening to that black guy rattle off a bunch of drama like a babtist minister giving a sermon.

yeah the Griot has really run his course.
WHEN THE MOONS OF SATURN AND THE PLANETS ALIGN, ERIC YOUNG AND ROBERT ROODE WILL BE FACED OFF ON OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE WORLD. AND THEY WILL COLLIDE WITH THE FORCE OF A MILLION STARS.
It just comes off so cheesy.

Yeah they dont want people to know whos a face and whos a heel but they still have two entrances.

If TNA did a whole show of Video Packages, it'd get a 2.5 Rating.

-- It's interesting, and even though "I get it", I don't like it. Charactors are booked to either be heels or faces, and with GOOD booking, they'll stay established heel or face. When you campaign "Cross The Line", it's basically saying anyone can turn at any given time (alla "Trust No One"), and that to me, loses it's mystique about this business - hence, you can't really take a charactor as seriously as you would if they're more established as a true heel or a true face. I think they stepped on a crack with this one
