Unfortunately for Abyss, his stunt was with the sloppy brothers who spread lighter fluid across the entire table, and then put Abyss right in the middle of it so the flame didn't extinguish. TNA should leave stuff like this to the professionals. Like Lita? She is the one that put lighter fluid on the table for the spear spot. The bumps were totally different. The Edge/Foley bump fit in the match. It worked. It was amazing. And it told part of the story. The Abyss going through the table was a harder shot, yes, but it just kinda happened. Just bump alone...yea, maybe it was better, but as part of the whole, there is no way it compares to that spear.

i'm amazed at how informed some people like to believe they are on this site...deciding when or when not a spot applies? come on.

i'm amazed at how informed some people like to believe they are on this site...deciding when or when not a spot applies? come on. What do you mean by that? Is it not fair for me to give my opinion and say that I feel the spear spot worked well in the flow of the match better than 3D carrying Abyss to the stage, setting up a table, lighting it on fire and then throwing him off the stage? I never said anything about a spot "applying." I said that the spear spot worked better with the story of the match. In my opinion it is better than a big spot just for sake of doing it. It is like writing a lot of interesting things in a story that do not connect very well. The transitions are important. If you are able to take all the interesting things you've come up with (in this case, flaming tables) and put it in the story (in this case, a wrestling match) in a way that flows well, then you've impressed me. The spear spot in my opinion worked, because you did not know it was coming, and all the pieces just kind of came together. The other spot was separate from the rest of the match. They went away from the ring and did a separate spot that involved a flaming table. I do not think I am an expert on wrestling by any means, but I have been watching for enough years to know what works and what doesn't. I know when I watch something if it flows well or not. That is what good wrestling is all about. It tells a story. In my opinion one of the mentioned spots does this a lot better than the other.

Mick Foley is officially insane. I mean just totally lost all touch with reality, especally if he thinks ANYTHING in TNA is better than WWE.

Mick Foley is officially insane. I mean just totally lost all touch with reality, especally if he thinks ANYTHING in TNA is better than WWE. That is just an ignorant, uninformed statement. How can you be so arrogant and simple minded to say that NOTHING in TNA can be better than WWE? So Kurt Angle against Samoa Joe matches are not better than Johnny Knoxville and Great Khali segments? Chris Sabin's athletic ability is not better than Santino's? Or D' Lo Brown's? Mick Foley is not better than Vicki Guerrero? How about AJ Styles? His in ring ability far surpasses most of the guys on WWE's roster. Don't get me wrong. There are plenty of things wrong with TNA, but to say that nothing in TNA is better than WWE is being entirely too closed minded. If you hate TNA so much, please do not come onto the boards just to bash it. I am all for discussion on likes and dislikes, but apparently you have no likes...so is there any reason to come here and talk it down the way you do?

Well, Foley shared his opinion on the spot being better than something that he was a part of.Foley's opinion on wrestling > Fans Not true... If Wrestling fans have a negative opinion on Mick Foley then they aren't going to be putting money in his pocket... I'm sure he values the fans opinions more so

Foley's opinion on wrestling > Fans Really? If the fans opinions didn't matter, wrestling would be nothing, nobody would watch it, they wouldn't sell dvds, or any other merchandise.

I didn't say the fans opinions didn't matter so don't put words in my mouth - Foley's opinion is better than ours because he's in the business and knows more about wrestling than we do.

i understand boths sides some people are still clearly upset that foley is in tna, and after years of praising his match with edge, he is now saying one of tna's spots that would be forgotten by next week was better. so if they are angry leave them.
PS EVERYTHING SHOULD NOT BE ABOUT WHO IS BETTER..DAMN JUST ENJOY THEM BOTH...WRESTLING IS WRESTLING... most if the tna marks have wwe wrestler on their sigs and most of the wwe marks have tna wrestlers on their sigs so really i dont understand what all the fighting is really about.
