took awhile to read, but, that's some very interesting stuff, the one with funk threating the horse cracks me up, as does the line from the brain about the crowd being so pumped up lol, thanks for this bro!

I remember one of the "Nasty Boys" selling a hit with the cardboard cutout. Even then I was like "Wow, that was intellectually- disabled...."

If you guys liked reading that you should really pick up a book called "The Death of WCW" by R.D. Reynolds (the wrestlecrap.com guy) that was a great book. highly recommended. I concur. The Death of WCW book is a fast, yet, great read. Its a very interesting insight on not only the Monday Night Wars, but starting from when WCW became its own entity, after seperating form the NWA. Any wrestling fan...especially those like myself who grew up on early 90's late 80's NWA/WCW should check it out.

I could not stop reading. That was the longest thing on WF ever, and I was entertained the entire time.
Congrats on such a great post.
If HALF of those things are true, I have no reason to question WCW's fall.

Dude, the Terry Funk part had me laughing for minutes. I can just imagine an old man like him verbally threatening a horse
Dear Lord how is Russo still employed in the wrestling business? Honestly though he sounds ignorant to what the fans want and ignorant to recognize that putting what he wants to see on TV is horrible much like Vince is now.

it took me 40 minutes to read all of that I can say it took me even more time to read it, but it was worth. I mean, it was the most entertaining (wrestling-related) thing I have ever read, seriously.

NWA from 85-88, WWF from 88-92, WCW 93-97, WWF 98-2000....Those were the top places in the days With your knowledge of classic wrestling, you shoud write a book.

• Russo's second show in charge featured Bret running in on a Juventud/Psychosis match. Neither were told Bret was running in and nobody to this day knows quite why he ran in. I LOL'D. What the ? EDIT: Arquette however gave all of his professional wrestling earnings to the families of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman and Darren Drozdov. Much respect to David for that one.
