Hogan vs Warrior 1 was bad enough....V2 was terrible...I just realized its been just over 11 years since we lost Brian Pillman

Isn't this the fifth year anniversary of Triple H and Stephanie's real life marriage too? Or was that October 21st? I can't remember.

I was watching the Ultimate Warrior DVD earlier in the week when I couldn't sleep and it brought back the memories of that oh so classic train wreck.

I just wish Hogan had singed all the hair left on his bald head when he screwed up that fireball

It was a rematch of a huge match in wrestling history so I thought I would bring it up even though it was a horrible match.

Hogan/Warrior I was huge IMO, and wasn't that bad of a match.
Hogan/Warrior II...well that was pretty bad, but it had some nostalgia to it.

First match was huge just because of how big both of those guys were. It wasn't a horrible match by any means.
The second match was pointless, stupid, and horrible. For WCW to think that people really cared about a Warrior/Hogan rematch 8 years after the fact is amazing. Even as a kid I thought it was odd.

is it true that the main reason for this match was because hogan wanted to make up for his loss at wm6? if so then that's pretty pathetic!

It can't be proven either way but I don't believe that. Its been rumored becasue of Hogan's well known ego. But that doesn't mean thats why it happened. WCW signed Warrior because they hoped they could do something with him and be successful. The problem was, no one really cares to see Warrior wrestle. They only enjoy his character and the fact is that character wasn't good enough for the very edgy year of 1998.

The first match was great and just by pure excitement has been anything like it since.
