Chris Jericho’s music hits next and his huge pyro blows off on the stage. Jericho looks around, looking a bit cocky on the stage and seems to be confident. Walking down to the ring, he stops and looks up, staring at Jeff Hardy and not looking away. Jericho starts exchanging words with Jeff, but looks around again. He grabs a ladder and slides it into the ring. Jericho walks up the steel steps and gets in the ring. He stands in one corner as does Jeff Hardy in another.

Lillian Garcia: "And introducing next, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in tonight at 225 pounds, he is the reigning WWE Championnnnn…. Jefffff Hardyyyy!!!!!"
The fans cheer Jeff Hardy like mad and start up the “Hardy” chants. Lillian Garcia leaves the ring, and now Jeff and Jericho walk in the middle of the ring and stare at each other. Referee Charles Robinson explains the way this match works and wishes both men good luck. After about 30 seconds, he looks over and signals for the bell to be rung. The bell quickly sounds and we hear some loud cheers from the fans.
Both men back up from each other and slap hands.
Jeff Hardy runs up to Jericho and both men lock up with each other. Jeff backs Jericho into the corner, but Jericho quickly reverses it and has Hardy against the turnbuckle. Jericho slowly lets go but quickly hits chop after chop, as the “woooo” chants begin. Jericho whips Jeff to the opposite corner. He runs towards Jeff, but stops right as Jeff put his feet up. Jericho ran to Jeff and hit him with a stiff elbow in the face. He whipped Jeff to the ropes and as Jeff run towards him, Jericho ducked, but Jeff lifted up his foot and whacked Jericho in the face. Jericho quickly slid back and lied against the ropes. Jeff clapped his hands to get the fans cheering, and at the same time ran to the ropes, ran towards Jericho and both men went right over the top rope. Jericho and Hardy lied on the outside of the ring as the ref checked on them. Hardy used the steel steps to lift his body up. Jericho stood up using the ring.
Jericho walked towards Jeff, but Hardy hit him with some punches in the stomach. Jeff continued to punch away at Jericho’s stomach. As Jericho attempted to move away, Jeff grabbed his head and smacked it against the steel steps. Jericho’s head flew back and Jeff had some time to spare. He walked near the ladders and grabbed one. He walked towards Jericho but this time Jericho hit a dropkick knocking the ladder and Jeff to the floor. Jericho smacked Jeff in the face a few times. He threw the ladder into the ring, but went under the ring and grabbed some tables, and proceeded to set up 2 of them on top of each other. Jericho threw Jeff into the ring. Jeff got up in the corner but turned around to Jericho throwing a ladder. Jeff ducked and the ladder hit the ring post. Jeff ran to Jericho and hit a few arm drags, then after 3 or 4 whipped Jericho to the turnbuckle. Jericho’s body smacked into the turnbuckle and Hardy charged toward him. Jeff hit a huge clothesline and Jericho’s head whipped back. Jeff went outside the ring and threw 4 more ladders into the ring.
With 5 ladders in the ring, and Jericho struggling to get up Jeff is in control. Jeff sets up a ladder in the middle of the ring and starts climbing up to the WWE title. Jericho runs and tips the ladder. Jeff lands feet first on the mat. Jericho springboards against the ropes and flys back kicking Jeff right between the eyes. Jericho stomps Jeff viciously and proceeds to do so for another minute. Jericho sets up Jeff in the corner. He grabs a ladder and throws it, this time it hits Jeff’s body hard knocked him to the mat. Jericho walks around the ring and is being booed. He mocks the crowd while setting up another ladder. Jericho starts climbing up the ladder as Jeff is struggling to get up in the corner. Jericho comes down though, and charges towards Hardy, but Jeff ducks. Jericho hits the turnbuckle and as he turns around, Jeff sends him over the top rope. Jericho, on the outside of the ring, turns around, with a ladder in his arms. Jeff clenches the ropes and flys over, flipping his body in mid-air and landing right on Jericho, knocking the ladder right against his body. The camera looks up and shows the prize, which one man will walk out with tonight, the WWE Championship. Jeff and Jericho start stirring on the outside, almost to their feet it seems.
Jeff starts moving around and gets to his feet finally. He grabs Jericho and smacks his head on the announce table. Jericho climbs over the table and the monitors go flying off, and papers start filling the air. Jericho goes under the table and grabs a bottle. He pops out from under the table, and once Jeff goes to grab him, he whacks him over the head with a bottle of what appears to be frozen ice water. Jeff lies against the ring apron but Jericho grabs him. Jericho viciously swings his body onto the announce table. He whacks him in the head with some forearms, but before letting go hits a stiff elbow. Jeff’s body is lying lifelessly on the table as Jericho walks around confident. He puts into his possession a huge ladder, and sets it up right near the announce table. Jericho climbs up to the top, and looks back down at Jeff. Jericho does his signature “arms out” pose on the top of the ladder. He looks back down, and jumps off hitting a beautiful moonsault nearly 20 feet off a ladder. Jericho and Jeff are down on top of a fallen and broken announce table. The ref looks concerned, but checks and both men are still conscious. After a good 2 or 3 minutes Jericho starts moving. He uses the barrier to lift his body up and turns around. Jeff starts looking up but is clenching his ribs.
Jericho wobbles around the outside ring area. He goes around the side of the ring and grabs the tables from earlier. He walks up the stage and sets up two tables. He does the same now with a huge ladder. Jericho walks slowly down the stage and looks back. He sees the two tables stacked and a ladder next to them which he just set up. Jeff is almost to his feet but Jericho walks towards him, and now whips him into the steel steps. Jericho walks towards Jeff, but Jeff grabs his tights and Jericho hits the steel steps this time. Jeff goes under the ring and pulls out two tables and a chair. He sets up the tables next to each other, then grabs the chair and whacks Jericho across the face with it. The fans are going crazy and screaming for Hardy. Jeff picks up Jericho’s body and sets it on the two tables. He looks at the ladder and climbs up it. Jeff gets halfway up but Jericho quickly moved off the tables, this time the fans start with loud boos. Jericho crawls toward Lillian Garcia and puts her in front of him. Jeff stands there and Jericho throws Lillian into him. Jeff chases Jericho around the ring, but Jericho stopped short and smacked Jeff across the face with a chair. He dragged Jeff’s body all the way up the stage and once at the top, set Jeff on the two tables he had stacked. Jericho punches Jeff’s lifeless body which is lying on the tables.
Jericho walks around the stage, but now starts his journey up the ladder. Jericho’s feet are just about to touch the top step, but Jeff moves off the tables. Jericho is screaming at Jeff, but as quickly as possible comes down the ladder. He jumps halfway off but Jeff hits a dropkick in mid air, knocking the wind out of Jericho. Jeff moves Jericho back and climbs the ladder. Jeff climbs to the top and turns around. Jericho is on his feet, but wobbling. He looks up and Jeff looks at him from the top of the ladder, but Jeff turns around and hits a huge, beautiful whisper in the wind. The fans are going crazy, meanwhile Jericho is lying on his back and Jeff is trying to get to his feet. Jeff stands up and looks at Jericho’s fallen body. He walks down to the ring and slides into it. Jeff sets up a ladder and looks up. Jericho is crawling, and trying to get down the ramp. Jeff sees him and as quickly as he can climbs the ladder. As Jeff is nearly halfway up, Jericho gets up and walks quickly down to the ring. He doesn’t go in the ring though, this time he grabs a steel chair from under the ring and throws it all the way to Jeff. The chair flys through the air and hits Jeff, following him falling off the ladder and crashing down to the mat. Jericho smiles and poses, but clenches his arm in the meantime.
Jeff is down and Jericho is climbing the ladder. The fans are chanting “Hardy”, but Jericho is nearly to the top of the ladder. Jeff wiggles his body over and his two hands clench the ladder. Jeff tips the ladder forward and Jericho’s body fly’s off, crashing down below into the mat. The ladder tips over and also falls to the mat. Jeff lifts Jericho up and hits a forearm, but Jericho comes out of nowhere with a low blow. He goes outside the ring and grabs a taller ladder, and goes into the ring with it. He sets it up and goes to climb it but Jeff turns him around. Jericho smacks him with a stiff elbow in the head. Jericho starts climbing but Jeff pulls him down. Jeff kicks him in the stomach and goes for a twist of fate, but Jericho pushes him off. Jeff goes over the top rope but lands on his feet. Jericho goes for a springboard cross body off the top, but Jeff moves over and Jericho is able to turns and land on the apron. Jeff grabs his foot and moves him off, and Jericho’s head hits the ring apron. Jeff whips Jericho and his body whacks against the barrier. Jeff runs to him but he ducks, and Jeff jumps up landing feet first on the barrier. Jericho pushes him off and Jeff goes flying into the crowd. Jericho runs into the ring and climbs up the ladder. The fans are booing like mad as Jericho is climbing. The camera shows Jeff pushing through the fans and trying to get over the barrier. He does and charges into the ring.
Jeff runs up the ladder and Jericho is near the top. Jeff exchanges blows with Jericho and try’s to get him off, but to no avail. Jeff grasps the WWE title, as does Jericho. Both men have their hands on the WWE Championship. Jeff lets go with one hand, and uses it to smack Jericho across the head with a fist. Jericho grabs his head and blood starts to pour down. Jeff puts an arm over and puts it over Jericho’s neck. Jeff jumps off and hits a huge twist of fate, both Jericho and Jeff crash to the mat below. Jeff and Jericho hit pretty hard. Within 3 or 4 minutes we see Jeff moving his arms, but not to get up. Jericho lies on his back holding his back and neck. Jeff try’s and try’s to lift his body up in the corner. After another minute passes by Jeff is halfway up. Jericho moves and sits in the corner of the ring. Jeff is up and Jericho still looks to be out. Jeff turns around and looks at Jericho, who is lying on the mat. Jericho looks up and smirks and it appears he is playing possum. Jeff is climbing up the ladder and looks down. Jericho still pretends he’s in pain. Jeff is near the top and Jericho plops up. He runs up the ladder and whacks Jeff in the head. Jeff’s head is lying on top of the ladder step. Jericho reaches and grasps the WWE title. Jeff punches him in the head this time. They keep exchanging blows on top of the ladder. Jericho jumps off and pushes the ladder forward. Jeff’s body goes flying off the ladder and crashes 20 feet down, to the outside of the ring, through two stacked tables. Jeff is out cold and bleeding from the back. Jericho looks at his lifeless body, and sets up the ladder again. Jericho climbs up and gets to the top. Once at the top of the ladder he stands and looks below at Jeff, smirks, reaches up and puts his hands on the WWE title. Jericho un-hooks the WWE title and poses with it on the top of the ladder.
Lillian Garcia: "Here is your winner, and newwwwww WWE Champion… Chris Jerichooo!!!!"
