There's been an assload of suspension this year for steroids and such, and people are always all over these fighters. People go blood thirsty, and they really rip these suspended fighters apart.
And I always kind of sit back and wondered something, so now I'm posting it...
Alot of fighters suspended these last two years, have come from big popular mma camps/gyms, and it always makes me wonder, how are they the only fighter in their gym using steroids? How are they the one out of everyone whose using, why would one person go against the gyms normal/regulations and juice up? Wouldn't it be more likely that multiple people are using per-camp/gym?
I remember B.J.Penn accused Sherk of using steroids and something about just knowing how to get the steroids out of his system before a test. (BJ said something about blood in a fridge, idk) So what if BJ's spot on?
I guess what I'm trying to say is,
how much steroid use is there in MMA? (In Your Opinion)
and are fighters just clearing it from their systems before tests?
etc etc

Well, in my own opinion, I don't believe there is alot of steroid use in MMA. Just the odd fighter here & there will get caught.
There is without a doubt ALOT and I stress ALOT more steroid use in wrestling than there EVER will be in MMA and anyone who tries to deny it, is only fooling themselves because it's blatantly obvious.
And as for the fighters trying to clear it out of their systems before the fights/testing, I'm sure they certainly try very had to do so, but you can't fool the tests. And since Chris Leben used steroids prior to testing, I'm sure he tried to get it out of his system, but to no avail. He got busted in the end anyway.

I think it's far higher than we think in ALL sports & I don't see mMA being any different Especially now that there is more money to be made at the higher level of the sport, I just think a lot of the guys are smart enough to flush it out of ther system before knowing they'll be tested.

I only wish drug testing was taken as seriously in wrestling as it is in MMA. I mean, Leben just got caught for the first time (I believe) and he's suspended for 9 months!! 9 months man..is a long friggin' time...Look at the way WWE suspends it's performers...1st offense is 30 days and 2nd offense is 60 days without pay and 3rd offense is termination. In my opinion, 60 days for 2 failures is a joke when Leben gets caught for one offense and he's gone for 9 ing months!! Like I said, I only wish the drug testing was taken as seriously in wrestling as it is in Mixed-Martial Arts.

As long as there is incentive to look good and/or be stronger, faster, heal quicker, etc.... there will be those who get desperate enough to try steroids. If they fail a test here and there, they will just try to find a different drug, or perfect their cycles, etc. to make sure they don't get caught.
There will always be fighters on the roster clinging to their spot, especially the low to midcard guys who know UFC is their only shot at making a real living as a fighter. If they think they can get an advantage from a performance enhancer and not get caught using it, I'm sure many fighters will try. Especially if they feel like their only alternative is to lose to a better fighter and end up getting cut.
I just think there are probably a lot more fighters using performance enhancers than the test results are showing us, and it's just that some guys are better at hiding it.
