^ Yeah, as you pointed out, it's been over a year since Couture's last fight and that right there, will be a dis-advantage for Randy. While he's been out of the octagon, Brock has been gaining experience and gaining momentum for this fight.
Brock's fight with Frank Mir only lasted 1:30, but he did learn not to make the same mistake twice as we saw in the Herring fight.
I mean, as you said, one single solid shot from Brock sent Herring blowing like a freakin' tumbleweed backwards across the octagon. Now, if that were Randy in that situation, I'm sure he would've dropped like a sack of potatoes since Chuck Liddell dropped him, not once, but twice in the past.
And Chuck is like half the size of Brock Lesnar and I'm sure Brock punches much harder than Chuck could.
So, taking into consideration that Chuck KO'd Randy twice and is much smaller than Brock, that's why I believe Brock will knock-out Randy. I think he'll drill Randy like he did Herring with a solid shot or catch him with a knee and put him to sleep.
Either way, I believe there will be a new champion at the end of the night.
Also, not that it would happen again so soon, but you never know in these fights.
Say if the same thing happened here as it did in the Cote/Silva fight. If Randy got injured, and they were forced to stop the fight, does that mean Brock will get the belt that way too?? I mean, a TKO is a TKO, right??
I'm not exactly sure if the champion would lose his belt in that situation or not.
Has that ever happened before where the defending champion got injured and couldn't continue and they declared a new champion??

I would imagine it's just considered as a normal loss, and the belt would change hands. I don't see how it'd be any other way.
It'd just be a real shame to have this kind of fight end in such a way.

Even though Brocks punches may pack more power then Chucks. Chuck is still a better striker.. He has better timing and accuracy. Really in his prime one of the greatest sttrikers of all time. Bu age has caught up with Chuck... .

Mr. Old School, there is nothing in the rules that allows the referee to make a judgment call about whether a champion deserves to lose the belt, such as if he suffers a freak injury like Cote did. If he must forfeit, it's recorded as a TKO (which I actually don't agree with... it should be recorded as exactly what it is, an injury forfeit).
If the champion loses, he loses the belt, no matter how he lost.

Bu age has caught up with Chuck... . I honestly think age has nothing to do with it. I think Chucks in a slump because the fighters today are far more doverse than they used to be. There is no longer a striker, wrestler, and Martial Artist. Fighters today consist of a little bit of everything. Theyre true mixed martial artists and Chuck needs to drop his one dimensional training.

If the champion loses, he loses the belt, no matter how he lost. Ok, I was just making sure, that's all. I wasn't sure if there was some sort of special ruling in a title fight that would allow the champion to keep his belt in the event of a freak injury like the Cote/Silva fight. I hope that doesn't happen again. It was bad enough seeing Cote go out like that and I'd REALLY hate to see the same thing happen in the Brock/Couture fight. I don't want to see some freak, disappointing TKO injury stoppage. I want to see a clear-cut winner!!

Chuck isnt one dimnesional, he is just better at striking than any other apsect of his game, he has rarely been taken down and he rarely gets knocked out, why change when his striking is his biggest way of winning, I saw chuck needs to try and stop being a counter fighter, and learn a more aggressive style.

He has just gotten used to only haing to use his striking and still thinks it will work. He simply just does not use them. But he does have the skills to be a good Mixed Martial Artist...

Predictions:
Randy Couture vs Brock Lesnar for UFC Heavyweight Title - I love Randy but this will be the first time I am not picking him to win. Lesnar Kenny "Ken-Flo" Florian vs Joe "Daddy" Stevenson - Florian Nick Catone vs Amir Sadollah - Sadollah Gabriel Napão Gonzaga vs Josh Hendricks - Hendricks Demian Maia vs Nate "Rock" Quarry - Maia even though I want Quarry to win
Really looking forward to one fight on this card and that is the main event. Very excited about this one !!!!

As much as I respect Brock and want him to win, I can't see him beating Couture.

I honestly don't know who will win here. I'm leaning more towards Couture though. Should be a good fight.

I can't help but think how little credit Brock gets for being a fast learner. I know he's only had 3 pro fights, and theres thing only a life time of MMA will teach you, but this isn't an ordinary guy.

Not quite sure if you can say he's a "Fast Learner" when he's only had 3 fights. He's never went 5 full rounds before. I just think he's being put into this position because he's getting paid big money.

I was making more reference to him being called a fast learner as a child, in regards to his wrestling background.

What time do you guys think the actual Lesnar-Couture fight will start? I know the PPV itself starts @ 10 (I think).
And as for my prediction, I think Couture will win the fight...
