A thread to talk about International matters, such as fixtures, results (WC Qualifiers) & call-ups.
Start things up:
Who do you reckon will be in the England squad to face Germany next week?

Hopefully he puts a strong side out and we thump them in Berlin.
Brazil V Italy is at the Emirates in Febuary, tickets go on sale to the general public December 4th if anyone's interested. Amauri's supposed to be making his International Debut too.

Shame Hargreaves is out for the Germany game. You'd have to play both Gerrard and Lampard Away, Rooney and Bent have been on form lately so if them two start it wouldn't suprise me. Bit of a step for Bent though tbh.

idk why but I can see Owen getting in, even though he doesn't deserve it, he'll get in just becuase of Heskey's injury.

If Darren Bent isn't in I'd be shocked.
Hopefully he's up for it.

From 'The Sun' Fabio Capello will hand a shock England call-up to Chelsea youngster Michael Mancienne, on loan at Wolves, when he names his squad for Wednesday's game against Germany - but there will be no David Beckham.

Go on Michael Mancienne lol. No suprise that Beckham's not included, tbh I think he's only got one or two caps left in him now. If he's not playing football, he can't be seletced.

Anybody else sick of these pointless friendlies?.. Just keep international games to World Cup or Euro qualifiers.. I hate the way the league programme keeps having to stop all the time, because of these needless matches.. Also Torres is off with Spain again, so there is a possibilty of him getting injured again - as there is with Gerrard.. Players play too many games as it is, without adding more..

One thing, pisses me off about Capello, is that he never seems to go outside London, to see a game. No offence, but you could get better than Mancienne (who plays for a London club, conicidence?), what about Jagielka?

Mancienne in... well that's a suprise to me
Keano Mancienne is on loan at Wolves, to my knowledge they don't play in London.

What a joke. Michael Mancienne! A PL reserve player pretty much. There are plenty of better players than him.

As I said in a previous post, Capello never seems to leave the London area to watch games. It's obvious that he got recommended by Pearce or he went to see a lot of Chelsea reserve games. and btw Anton Ferdinand > Michael Mancienne.

He's a CB, but has played RB in the past. and even so, why didn't Jagielka get picked, he can play RB, CB and midfield. Was Everton's best player today.
