It's finally here.. WCWA HURT PPV EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

You have no idea how pumped I am for this.

I dig the whole ‘don’t steal our ****’ message. Made the feel of the show that more real in my opinion. It’s the little things that make the show that much better.

I was blown away with the Johnny Cash ‘Hurt’ video. First off, the song in it of itself is amazing and I actually played the song while reading this. I enjoyed the end sentences from the three main event competitors.

Card looks amazing. My bold predictions:

Match #1: Darin Corbin vs. Billy Roc vs. Dustin Lee
Thoughts on match: Pretty decent opening match, Jeremy. I know how much of a bitch triple threat matches are, so kudos to you for doing an entire tournament based on them. As for the match itself, I thought it had a good flow to it; it was well put together. I kind of expected more.. high flying action out of these three (as Shane Douglas hinted to several times). Nonetheless, it was a decent opening match that got me excited for the rest of the show. Good job. By the way, I am 1 for 1 in my predictions as I picked Lee to win the match.

That Beef Wellington promo had everything. Beef Wellington threatening to beat up Joel Gertner, an Iron Sheik cameo, and the Sheik asking where to find black men with drugs. Pure awesomeness.

Match #2: Mickie Knuckles vs. LuFisto
Thoughts on match: I was expecting something completely different in this match. I expected multiple chair shot exchanges, one or both of these women going through tables, hell I even expected light tubes to come into play. Bottom line: I expected a lot of weaponry involved in his match and we only got a steel chair. However, the moves that Mickie and LuFisto did to one another was extremely brutal and stiff. Headbutts, shinning wizards, back fists… ouch. The match was enjoyable without the use of too many weapons. Excellent job, Jeremy. I could see a more brutal match between these two somewhere down the road. By the way, I am two for two on my predictions!

I enjoyed the BLK Out segment. Sheik is still trying to get his ‘medicine’ from Jack Evans = hilariousness.

Match #3 – Ladder Match: The BLK Out vs. The Backseat Boys for the WCWA Tag belts
Thoughts on match: Well… I don’t know if I was not concentrating enough (which I doubt) but I really found that match confusing to read. I know how difficult it is to write these type of matches and while the action seemed brutal, I often found myself having to re-read sentences. You repeated yourself at times… but I liked some of the spots in the match. BLK Out winning was expected and certainly welcome. While this match was somewhat confusing to follow, I certainly enjoyed the outcome of it. I would also like to point out that I am now three for three on my predictions for HURT.

Joel Gertner proclaiming Jannetty likes penis… definitely true.

Match #4: Marty Jannetty vs. Beef Wellington for the WCWA Television Championship
Thoughts on match: A little pre-match thought here – Beef Wellington having Beavis and Butthead added to his entrance is awesome. I would also like to point, however, that I wrote it and gave you permission to write it – end of pre-match thought. WOAH! MARTY JANNETTY WON A MATCH!?!? LET ALONE THE TELEVISION TITLE!?!? HOLY ****! I can’t believe my prediction was wrong on this match. I… I am in utter shock. Three for four on my predictions thus far.

Evil Ninja #2 is just so damn evil….

Trial and Error promo was awesome. Can’t wait.

Loved the Jimmy Jacobs promo. I can see him going far in WCWA with this gimmick.

Match #5: Brain Damage vs. Joker of BLK Out
Thoughts on match: Brutal, brutal match. I definitely enjoyed it more than the ladder match; this was a very well written though there were a couple of spelling mistakes. As for the actual match, it sounded brutal. Very good idea of having Eastman and Danger handcuffed to one another although they still became factors in the match. As promised, Lance Storm made an impact. Does this spell Lance Storm joining the J.E.W? I could see a Lance Storm and Brian Damage vs. Joker and Eddie Kingston/Ruckus/Sabian somewhere down the road. I am now four for five on my predictions.

Interesting little interview with JC Bailey… right down to the point.

Match #6: Jack Evans vs. Richoet vs. Evil Ninja #2 for the WCWA Junior Heavyweight title
Thoughts on match: Gotta love that Evil Ninja #2 was PAC (I’m surprised I actually knew that PAC wasn’t X-Pac). The match itself was confusing to read at times (too many flippy moves) though I enjoyed the action. That double moonsault in the air by Richoet sounded nuts. I expected and predicted Jack Evans to win and I was correct! I am not five for six in my predictions, thank you very much. I’d say it was a successful debut for Richoet; PAC in WCWA is something interesting. Good job.

I really hate this tag team of Arsenal and Chris Masters. I hate them…

Tyler Black eh? Should be interesting.

Match #7: JC Bailey vs. Drake Younger in a Light Tubes and Barbed Wire Nets Death Match
Thoughts on match: Brutal match up. The fact that JC Bailey had to tape up his wounds during the match made me… sick. I also got the sense of hatred between these two men, which means you did a good job of making me believe in this match. The finish is quiet controversial. I predicted Drake Younger to win (I felt JC’s time with the belt was over with) so I was surprised that the match ended in a draw. It was an even bigger surprise that the Death Match title is now vacant. I understand the move – Younger doesn’t have to be the champion of a division he despises and it gets the belt of off Bailey without him actually being pinned or submitted. Good job. I guess I am now five for seven in my predictions.

Match #8: Chuck Taylor vs. Delirious
Thoughts on match: Good comedy match mixed in with actual wrestling. I laughed out loud hard over Chuck’s ‘grenade.’ This match kept me entertained from opening to closing bell. I also enjoyed the referee being involved with all of these shenanigans, selling his ‘hurt tailbone’ from that grenade explosion. In the end, the right man won the WCWA International Championship. I predicted Chuck Taylor and by golly he won the match. I am now six for eight in my predictions. Good job with entertaining me throughout this match.

Really loved the hype promo for the main event!

Match #9: Main Event for the WCWA World Heavyweight Championship –Chris Hero vs. Eddie Kingston vs. The Messiah
Thoughts on match: Man what an explosive main event. You did an excellent job throughout the match of painting a perfect over the pure hatred between Eddie Kingston and Chris Hero. The one negative about this match, however, is that despite Messiah going around saying it was “destiny” to win the match, you knew he would be the first man eliminated. This match HAD to come down between Chris Hero and Eddie Kingston and that’s exactly what happened. I did enjoy the way The Messiah was eliminated, however. Extremely brutal. Now, I was fully expecting Eddie Kingston to win this match. He just seemed to be the perfect fit, that it was his, not Messiah or Hero, destiny to become WCWA World Heavyweight Champion. However, I am not complaining about Chris Hero winning the championship. Hero winning the belt gives a new feel to WCWA. When Spanky was champion, he was the baby face that everyone rooted for and all the heels wanted to beat. Now it’s reversed. Should be interesting. I have to say, Jeremy, this is one of the best matches I have ever seen you write. Congratulations. By the way, I am six for nine on my predictions

Overall thoughts of show: Alright, Jeremy. Here’s my final verdict on the pay per view HURT. It’s one of the best shows you have EVER written. Everything was well pieced together, the night was filled with shocking outcomes, and I loved the promos from the various wrestlers. You hyped the main event perfectly and the match itself was about as perfect as one good make it. You do need to work a bit on having the wrestlers sell the moves better. During the main event, Kingston hit Hero with one of his finishers but opts to pin Messiah instead. The commentators made a big deal about Kingston hit Hero with one of his finishers but didn’t pin him. Right after that, Hero got in some offense on Kingston and that got me thinking “Man, I don’t know why that move is a finisher if Hero managed to hit Kingston a minute later.” You also need to proof read because there was some spelling mistakes. Other than that, best show you have ever written. Congratulations.

One review makes me sad. I busted ass on this show, both in typing it, and in writing all the angles, promotion, and graphics..
