I compared Brock to Sapp for one reason: THEIR SIZE. That's it. I said that he's fought someone of Brock's SIZE before and beat him. OK, well, I've fought someone BJ Penn's size and beat the crapout of them, too.

I am actually wondering if this is the best selling UFC PPV. Wasn't Liddell vs. Tito bigger? or Hughes vs. Gracie? Anyway I said in the begining I think Nog is a better match up for Lesnar that Couture was. Nog is alot bigger than Couture. Couture is naturally around 207. But bumps weight up to 220. Lesnar weighs 285 and cuts to 265. Nog weighs a legit 240. And Nogs ground game is amazing. Also I hear people talking about Lesnars KO power. The fact is he has alot of power BUT I believe his fist are to big. Instead of one impact point (which KO's you out) his 4XL fist are more of a face crusher. That's why it took a shot behind Randy's ear to put him on his ass. Sure he could KO a guy but it will be alot harder because his point of impact is much bigger. Sounds weird I know but it is common science. This is very true, but the flipside of bigger fists doing less pinpoint damage is that bigger fists do more area damage. For instance, while Brock may not be able to KO Nog, I can easily see him reducing Nog's face to a quivering pulp of mass. Brock, even though his KO power is still suspect, is nothing if not a dominant fighter. Even if he can't land that highlight-reel KO, if Nog gives him an opportunity I think Lesnar will pounce on it, even if his GNP tactics are weird. Those floor-to-ceiling hammer punches sure do look weird, although Brock's utilized them well. I compared Brock to Sapp for one reason: THEIR SIZE. That's it. Kliq vs. BJ for FOTY 2009~ I hate Brocks hammerfists. I mean sure he is able to dump more hammerfists than regular ol' punches from the ground but I think he would do more damage with 3 or 4 regular punches from the ground than 20 hammerfists. But it has been affective thus far so kudos to him.

I can't shake the feeling that Brock resembles more of a child in mid-tantrum lashing out at his parent than an MMA powerhouse when he begins dropping those fists in rapid succession. They probably hurt like an absolute bitch though, so I guess I can't say too much about them.

I agree. That's why I called them face crushers. Instead of knocking you out and waking up the next morning with a swollen jaw, you have a chance to stay in the fight. But you will probably hurt for a week.
I just don't like those punches. He basically throws as many as he can not really caring where they land. His punches are like getting smuggled by a pillow over and over again.
Brock will eventually get Ko'd when he meets a man that knows how to throw punches. That doesn't fear him. Mir does not like to throw, Couture looked scared, as did Herring. Get him in there with a guy that likes to throw and isn't affraid to let them go and Brock will loose.

I know everyone is focusing on the Lesnar stuff from the post, but the very last line is what got my attention... If Bisping beats Henderson and Anderson Silva is still in the middleweight division, the company will likely book a soccer stadium for Bisping vs. Silva. If they pull it off, that would be ing nuts!

I just think it kind of comes down to him being able to take down ANYONE. He doesn't HAVE TO stand, you know? And it's hard to knock someone out from your back.

That would be insane if the UFC pulled that one off. I would love to see that fight too. Even though I still think Anderson takes it it would be a good fight seeing as how Bisping has never been KO'd and his jiu jitsu is pretty good. But Henderson will be a big test for Bisping..he looked kind of shaky against Matt Hamill and Henderson I believe is a better wrestler than Hammill.

"Interview with Chuck Liddell with the Indianapolis, Indiana Times."
Article:
"Thanks Chuck for taking the time to let us interview you, we know you are a busy man.
Chuck: It's alright, let's go.
Reporter: First off, let's talk about how you started your MMA career.
Chuck: I did karate when I was young, and then kick boxing, and I did some wrestling, and one thing led to another. It basically all came full circle for me. I was a good wrestler, I was okay at kickboxing, and basically Karate was my bottom foundation from where I started.
Reporter: So basically, you started with Karate, and then wrestling and kickboxing just kind of came across together?
Chuck: Basically, Yeah.
Reporter: So how did you get into the UFC? Did you get an invitation to enter? How did you get set up with them?
Chuck: Dana White, he was the manager for me, I basically was told, hey, do you want to be here? I said, yeah man, I'd love to do it. I got set up with a fight date, and then it went through there. I made my debut at UFC 17.
Reporter: It sounds so easy, So that is all what happened?
Chuck: Yeah, I mean, there was a bunch of other stuff that happened as well, but basically that is how it happened and here I am.
Reporter: Now let's talk about your career. You have been the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, and once was noted as the UFC's feared striker in your division, and still are. How does that sound?
Chuck: It doesn't sound too bad. I have had a great career in the UFC so far, and hope to end my career on a streak of wins.
Reporter: So You beat Tito Ortiz to win the title, Since then, there has been some bad blood, what do you think about it? Is there any bad blood at all?
Chuck: You know, I don't think about that kind of stuff. He said there is, and then we fought, I beat him, and then he made excuses about this and that, I beat him in training, and then he came out and made a bunch of accusations about me, so we settled it. Is there any bad blood now? There could be, but I don't think there is really.
Reporter: Okay, we cleared that up. Let's talk about your title loss to Rampage Jackson. What happened?
Chuck: I just got caught man, it happens in this sport. I did something, that my coach told me not to do, and unfortunately, I got caught, and the fight ended. I'll be back, don't worry.
Reporter: Well, there was a lot of rumors going around that you were out partying, and drinking, would you like to clear that up?
Chuck: I went out, and had some fun. I drink water purely when I go out. I don't go out, get drunk, and then next night you fight. That's not me. I hardly ever drink when we are not in a training camp, so those are rumors, and leave it at that.
Reporter: So let's speak about your last fight. With Rashad Evans. What happened? What would you do different?
Chuck: I just think I was just anxious to go out there and just fight. I was too, too hyped about the fight going into the second round. I wanted to go in, and fight. He was running away from me, and getting me out of my gameplan and into his, and then he ended up taking advantage of it, and then he finished me. I was too over zealous as well, and my coach told me not to chase him, but I did, and I got caught. It happens in this sport. That's all I can really say. On how, I would change, I would make a few changes, but when it comes to fight him again, I can say.
Reporter: Shortly after that fight, there was a lot of rumors saying you were retiring, that you are too old, what do you think about those rumors:
Chuck: Rumors are rumors man. I don't listen to them. If they want to think I am going to retire, or I am too old, let them think that. I said I was going to retire when I don't and can't perform the way I do. Not because I went into fight, made a few mistakes, and got caught.
Reporter: What is the future for you? Looking at you, you are 1-3 in your past 4 fights, What is your goal now?
Chuck: My goal is to still be the champion. With a loss, it knocked me down a few spots, but it happens. I will work my way back up, and get up there in title contention. Whether it takes 2,3 fights, I'll work it back again.
Reporter: Has there been any speculation on when you will be fighting again? Or who you will be fighting next?
Chuck: I am fighting sometime in early 2009. There has been some opponents that have been talked about, but nothing is official. There was Jardine thrown in, Rua thrown in, Bonnar, so far, none of them are interested, but I'll be fighting sometime in March, April, so whoever is ready, ill fight, I'll fight anyone, you know that, so whatever fight they give me, I'll take.
Reporter: There was a report that you would be fighting Couture in Germany, Are you interested? And were you contacted about that fight?
Chuck: A fight again with Couture wouldn't mean anything for us really. He is in the HW division, I am in the LHW division, so it would make no sense. I wasn't contacted, and to be honest, I haven't actually heard of it until now. Would I be interested to fight him? Probably not, would I fight him? Sure.
Reporter: Now to close out this interview, I want to say thanks, and is there anyone you would like to thank?
Chuck: I want to thank my sponsors, and of course, go to my website, mmajacked.com. I occasionally go on there, and do live chats, talk with them, do some videos, and stuff, so make sure you all join there for my next fight announcement.
Reporter: Thanks chuck, I appreciate it and good luck on your next fight.
Chuck: No problem, anytime."
It was a great interview. I have always loved his interviews as well.
