URA Now!
-Edition #1
-Date: December 9th, 2008
-Venue: Derby Park Expo 5, Louisville, KY
-Show Theme: "Ready or Not" by Pop Evil
With URA's First PPV just days away, we present you with a small fix of URA action to hold you over until Collision! Backstage, Dirty Money, the team of Jack Evans and Teddy Hart, are with their manager, Shane Douglas. Douglas is knocking on the door of the booking committee. He decides to just barge in, and walks in to see Gabe Sapolsky and Ted DiBiase watching tapes of past URA shows.
Shane Douglas: Collision is just a few days away, and the URA Tag Team Champions don't have a match? This is rediculous. Ted, I came here to do the job you couldn't get done, and that's manage these to victories. They've already got the tag team titles, and they did it with ME! So, I'm taking my next act as their manager, and demanding a match for these two at Collsion!
Ted DiBiase: Ya know what? I may not have taken them to the tag titles, but that's because I was only with them for a week before I got released! And if you want to come in here threatening me, then I'll just not put your two boys in matches...so that way Ryan will cut them as well for being "useless" like he did to me!
Gabe Sapolsky: Whoa! Calm down Ted. Our job isn't to punish people for wanting to wrestle. It's our job to put them out there in front of the fans. And the fans love Dirty Money.
TD: Remember what I was telling you earlier Gabe?
GS: Are you talking about...
TD: Exactly. Jack, Ted, Shane...you all want a match at Collision? You got it. And it's for those titles!
Down ringside, "It's Time" plays as "Sugar" Shane Helms comes out, pissing of the small, yet rowdy, crowd. He slides into the ring and taunts the crowd. The referee pats him down, looking for weapons, as his opponent's theme hits.
"I Am" brings the crowd to their feet in a small eruption. AJ "Air" Styles steps out, peeking at the crowd through his hoody. He walks to the ring, high-fiving the fans and getting a huge pop.
Howard Finkel: The following contest is schedualed for one fall, with a 10 minute time limit. Introducing first, from Raleigh, North Carolina, "SUGAR" SHANE HELMS!
And his opponent. From Gainesville, Georgia, AJ "AIR" STYLES!
The men start of by exchanging arm drags. AJ gets the upper hand when he lands an arm drag and quickly turns it into an armbar. Helms fights up and forward rolls out of the arm bar. He ducks a clothesline from Styles, but is met with a standing dropkick. Styles quikly pops up and looks to the crowd with his arms extended.
Joey Styles: Great leaping ability on the dropkick! That's why they call him "Air"!
Jim Ross: Any relation?
Joey Styles: Not that I know of...
Helms is back up, and is chopped into the corner by AJ. He goes for a whip, but Helms reverses it and follows him in a hard clothesline in the corner. Helms keeps his arm around Styles' head, and pulls him out of the corner with a Complete Shot. He gets a two out of a pin-attempt.
Helms pulls Styles up by the hair, and tries to whip him into the corner. Styles reverses and charge at Helms. Shane gets his boots up, with the sole catching Styles in the temple. Helms quickly snaps on a side headlock as soon as Styles hits the mat. He keeps the headock on for about 20 seconds, until AJ drapes his foot over the bottom rope. The ref counts and Helms breaks the hold at 4. With Styles down, Helms uses this opening to taunt the crowd. Mistake however, as Styles rolls him into a School Boy for two.
JR: Close call there.
Styles and Helms both roll to their feet after the kickout, and Helms gets knocked down by a heel trip. Styles runs off the ropes and sals high into the air, coming down with a huge kneedrop to the chest of Helms. Styles gets a two count. He drags Helms into the center of the ring, and climbs to the top rope. He flies off, hitting a front-flip and 360 degree spin simultaneously; a move he calls the Spiral Tap. Unfortunatly for him, Helms moves at the last second.
JR: OH MUH GAWD!
JS: Oh...My...GOD! SPIRAL TAP!
JR: HELMS MOVED!
JS: Crash and burn by Styles. That's why it's called high risk.
Styles is back up to one knee, which Helms steps off of to do the Shining Wizard. Styles ducks, catches Helms in a rear waistlock. Helms kicks backwards, low-blowing Styles. He then hooks his arms, spins around, and lifts Styles into the air, before bringing him down on his neck with the Vertebreaker. 1-2-3.
HF: You're winner, "Sugar" Shane Helms!
JR: Helms picking up a big win tonight.
JS: And we'll be back after this!

Another vignette for Sweet 'n Sour, Inc. plays. This time they are in a gym. Chris Hero is doing a headstand against the wall, John Morrison is doing sit ups, and Sara Del Rey is hitting a speedbag. Sweeney is on his cell phone.
Larry Sweeney: No...You'll do what I tell you to do. I'm the puppetmaster. Hahahaha. *hangs up* See, I'm the hottest agent in professional wrestling, Larry Sweeney. And by being the hottest agent, I felt the need to come to the hottest promotion, URA! But coming here, just isn't enough! Winning, all the gold, is what I'm here for. A Prodigy championship around the waist of Mr. Morrison, the Ladies' championship around the waist of Sara, and that URA Heavyweight championship around the waist of the most underrated man in this industry, Chris Hero. Hahaha.
Back in the ring, Josh Mathews is waiting for a special interview with the URA Prodigy champion, Kurt Angle.
JM: Hi, I'm Josh Mathews. Right now, I'd like to welcome the current URA Prodigy Champion, Kurt Angle!
"Gold Metal" plays as Kurt Angle walks out to the shagrin of the small crowd. Black glasses cover his eyes, and the URA Prodigy belt is draped over his shoulder. He steps into the ring and awaits questioning from Josh Mathews.
JM: Hello, Kurt, and thank you for joining me out here. You've already established your legacy in the world of wrestling, both professional and amatuer. So what do you think when you have a young, and quite impressive athlete, like Davey Richards challenging you for your title?
KA: Well Josh, just 8 short years ago, I was the young, impressive guy. And in my first year, my rookie year, I accomplished more than Davey Richards EVER will. I came in as the youg guy, and there was this big guy...the number one guy. You might remember him. His name was The Rock. I beat him, and took his belt. A few years later, I was the number one guy. Then there was this new kid that came up named Brock Lesnar. He gave me a run for my money, but in the end, I came out on top! Fast forward...new year, new company. They have this unstoppable Machine named Samoa Joe, and who stopped him? ME!!! Davey RIchards, it's time for you to realize something. My time isn't up. I came in as the young kid, and I've been stopping young kids ever since. Collision will be no different. I am the URA Prodigy champion...
Kurt is interuppted when "Runnin' With The Devil" plays through arena. Davey Richards is met with a positive reaction, and jumps into the ring, snatching the microphone from Kurt.
DR: Ya see Kurt. You were running your mouth about how you've stopped everybody. But I'm not Samoa Joe, I'm not Brock Lesnar, and I sure as hell ain't The Rock!!! You know what else I'm not? A pain-killer addicted crackhead like you Kurt!
Kurt swings on Davey, but Richards catches his arm and locks on the 14:59. Kurt screams in pain and beings tapping, while security tries to pry Richards off.
JR: If he can do that at Collision, we're going to have a new URA Prodigy Champion!

HF: The following contest is the main event, and is schedualed for one fall! Introducing first...
"You Ain't Nice" by Papoose brings the crowd to their feet, as The URA Tag Team Champions make their way to the ring, along side their new manager, Shane Douglas.
HF: From P-Town, Washington, representing Drity Money. He is accompanied by Teddy Hart and Shane Douglas, one-half of the URA Tag Team Champions, Jack EVANS!
Evans break-dances in the ring until his opponent's music hits. "EvenFlow" by Pearl Jam plays as the lights dim. When they come back on, Chris Jericho is standing in the entrance way, facing away from the camera. His arms are spread out in a crucifix, and he turns around to be met with an enourmous eruption from the live crowd.
HF: And the opponent, from Manhasset, New York, "Lion Heart" Chris JERICHO!
JR: It's Jericho! Jericho is here in URA!
JS: And this isn't Y2J. This isn't the guy who wants to save us. This is the Lion Heart!
Jericho gets into the ring and shakes hands with Evans. He steps back into the corner as the referee pats him down. Evans takes this time to breakdance in the center of the ring. He gets a small pop out of this. However, the bell rings, and Evans instantly gets serious.
Jericho and Evans tie up, and Jericho quickly spins into a rear waistlock. He lifts Evans high into the air, then slams himonto his frontside, before spinning into a front facelock. Evans fights his way back to his feet, but Jericho keeps the facelock on. Evans frees himself with a forearm to the gut, then runs off the ropes, doing a cartwheel. He keeps one leg extending, which catches Jericho on the chin, taking him down. Evans goes for a pin, but only gets a two count. Jericho pops back to his feet, and chops Evans across the chest. Jack stumbles backwards. Jericho charges him, but Evans leapfrogs over the top. Jericho comeback and is met with a hurricanrana. Both men are quickly back to their feet in a stand-off.
JR: Excellent showing by these two. Both trainees of the late-great, Stu Hart.
JS: Stu is also the grandfather of Jack's partner, Teddy.
Evans goes for another tie-up, but Jericho snaps him down with a headlock takeover. Jack brings his legs up and puts a head-scissors on Jericho. The get back to their feet, and begin trading hip-tosses, but this is stopped when Evans bails out of the ring to regroup with Teddy and Shane. He tells the ref to keep Jericho back before rolling into the ring. He and Jericho tie-up again, and Chris pushes him back into the corner. Jericho breaks the lock-up clean, but recieves a thumb to the eye by Jack Evans. Jack comes out of the corner with a kick to the gut, followed by a spinning kick to the stomach. With Jericho doubledover, Jack kicks him in the face. Right when Jericho's upper body pops back up, Evans leaps into the air, completing a front flip and 360 degree spin at the same time, with his calf connecting with Jericho's jaw. Jack goes for the pin in the middle of the ring, but it is only a two.
Evans stands up, and with Jericho in the center of the ring, hits a running double foot stomp. He stands on Jericho's chest, then leaps up and backflips, coming back down with a moonsault. Once again, he only gets a two. Evans looks at the ref with dispair.
JR: Jack Evans showing a whole new aggression, can he keep it going? We'll find out, NEXT!
---commercial---
JS: There's another exciting high flyer coming to URA, but right now we're seeing a great match between high flyers Jack Evans and "Lion Heart" Chris Jericho!
Jack is standing on the middle rope as Jericho turns around to face him. Jack frontflips off, but Jericho moves. Evans lands on his feet, but is suddenly hit with a one-handed bulldog from Jericho. "Lion Heart" springs to the middle rope, apparently looking for the Lionsault. Evans jumps up and hits Jericho in the back, knocking him over the rope and onto the floor. Evans looks at Jericho, and then out to the crowd. They come to their feet, expecting a high risk attack from Evans. Jack waits for Jericho to stand up, then cartwheels twoards the ropes, before jumping over them with a twisting moonsault onto Jericho. Evans stands up as Ted DiBiase walks out and stares him down. Jack pays no attention to DiBiase, and instead rolls Jericho into the ring. He goes for the cover, but only gets a 2.
JS: Why is DiBiase out here?!
JR: We saw the confrontation earlier between DiBiase and Dirty Money.
Jack Climbs the top rope and calls for a hurricanrana. He notices DiBiase, and hesitates for a second before jumping. This would prove to be his downfall, as Jericho caught him in a powerbomb. After the initial impact, Jericho lifted him up and powerbombed him again. He quickly repositioned Jack's legs, and locked on the LionTamer. Evans' feet are nearly touching the back of his head when he taps out.
HF: Your winner via submission, Chris Jericho!
Teddy gets in the ring to check on Jack as Shane Douglas runs after DiBiase. Security steps out and stops Douglas from attacking DiBiase. Ted pulls a wad of money out of his pocket and stuffs it into the officers' shirts.
JR: And now ladies and gentlemen, we would like to present you with four short videos from the men who will be competing for the URA Heavyweight Championship at Collision.
Low Ki is seen standing against a wall. A video recaps moments of his career as his voice speaks over the visuals.
Low Ki: I've honed my skills, and carved my niche all over the world. I am a warrior, I am a spiritual being, and I have the soul of a fighter. Homicide has tried to end my quest for gold, but he shall remain unsuccessful. I am Low Ki.
Samoa Joe is sitting in a locker-room, taping up his wrists. A video shows his heritage, and his physical prowess.
Samoa Joe: From Jimmy Snuka, to Yokozuna, to The Rock. Many great Samoans have graced professional wrestling. Peter Maivia, The Headshrinkers. But one will rise above them all. The new generation? Umaga? Manu? Siaki? Jokes. Only one man can carry the legacy of Samoan wrestling into the future. And that man, is ME!
Homicide is hanging out with Rise Against. Julius Smokes is obviously holding the camera, as Homicide drives down the road, yelling at the camera.
Homicide: Yea...bitch ass Low Ki! You think you gunna win the title at Collision? Nah, son. Dis is my chance, the chance to show da world who Rise Against is! If deez two can stop gettin dey ass beat by dat drug free wannabe CM Punk, den dey can get dey shot at dem tag titles. Rise Against wit all da gold, bank on it!
"The Dagger" Bryan Danielson is sparring in a gym. While a video of him destroying his sparring partner is shown, his vice is heard over top.
Danielson: Hype. It's a big thing in our industry. You need it to get recognized. Well, if you wanna call what I have 'hype', then believe it. Everytime is step through the curtain, I'm met with the same chant. "Best in the World! Best in the World!" At Collision, I will prove my hype, by winning the URA Championship.

Chris Jericho is in his locker room, taking off his gear. He hears a knock at the door, and answers it. No one is there, but a small envelope is labeled with Jericho's name. Jericho opens the envelope and unfolds the letter. It simply reads, "I Idolize You."
A video package for URA Collision is shown.
London is screwed out of the URA Flyweight Championship. BLKOUT attacks him, so London gets backup. BLKOUT's dirty tricks have allowed them to get the upper hand thus far, but will the be the same at Collision when BLKOUT members Ruckus, Sabian, and Jigsaw face Paul London, Spanky, and Shawn Michaels in six-man tag team action?
URA has also made it a point to feature some of the best Women's action in the world. In a special Ladies Showcase Tag Team Match, Alexis Laree and the URA Ladies' Champion LuFisto face Amazing Kong and the debuting Sara Del Rey!
Ted DiBiase brought them in, but couldn't get the job done. Shane Douglas managed themfrom behind the scenes, and when he saw that they could get the job done, he manages them publically now. Jack Evans and Teddy Hart, collectively known as Dirty Money, are the URA Tag Team Champions. At Collision, they will defend their titles against an unknown duo. Ted DiBiase is known for having an ace up his sleeve.
RVD used Nash and Syxx to bring in Sabu and Bill AlFonso. This did not sit well with Syxx and Nash, and they have their chance at revenge come Collision. First, Kevin Nash will come out of retirement to face Bill AlFonso, and Syxx will face his former partner RVD in a hardcore match. After Nash and Syxx cost Rolling Thunder the Tag Team Titles, they're sure to have revenge on thier minds.
Kurt Angle used sneaky tactics to win the URA Prodigy Championship. At Collision, he will have to go all out to keep that title, as he defends against Davey Richards. After Angle's attack, will Richards be in any condition to compete?
CM Punk debuted as the surprise partner of Samoa Joe, defeating Carlito and Chavo in tag team action. After defeating Carlito in singles action, Punk will try to make it three-for-three against Chavo at Collision.
Finally, it's what URA is all about: The World Hevyweight Championship. The bad blood between Low Ki and Homicide has been brewing since the very first edition of URA, and there has been blood spilled. With two competiors as talented and determined as Samoa Joe and "The Dagger" Bryan Danielson in the match, who will win the Fatal Four Way Elimination and walk away with the URA World Heavyweight Championship?
JUST ANNOUNCED!!! RYAN MATHENY, GABE SAPOLSKY, AND TED DIBIASE WILL START OFF COLLISION BY INTRODUCING THE NEWLY SIGNED HEAD OF TALENT RELATIONS! IT IS CURRENTLY A MYSTERY AS TO WHO THE PERSON IS, BUT THEY PLAN ON TAKING URA WORLDWIDE, OR MAYBE JUST BRINGING THE WORLD TO URA![/center]
