I hate that you just gave Burke the title shot, I would have prefered to have seen some form of number one contenders match. Great to see Gabriel getting the win, although I doubt he could ever win the title. I was really hoping that Bourne would get the win, but at least Swagger went over. I'm pulling for a Bourne/ Swagger final. The ending to the Hardy/ Henry match was dissapointing, but at least Henry doesn't get a title shot.

January 30th, 2009 Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska
Smackdown! opens with a video package showing Jeff Hardy retaining the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble over Shelton Benjamin. It then shows Edge winning the Royal Rumble, lastly eliminating MVP, who was the star of the Rumble match.
We cut straight to General Managers Vickie Guerrero and Shane McMahon in the ring with Raw GM Stephanie McMahon and ECW GM Theodore Long. Shane gets on the microphone and says that there is a reason why the GMs of all 3 brands are in the ring tonight. He said it has to do with the main event of No Way Out. They were going to do something that hadn’t been done since No Way Out 1998. All the GMs have agreed to a huge eight-man tag match at No Way Out. Each of the four GMS have picked some of their top stars for the match. On one team you will have Edge & Umaga representing Smackdown and Elijah Burke representing ECW. Stephanie has not chosen a Raw superstar to be on that team. However, she has chosen her Raw star for the other team and its none other than World Champion John Cena! He will be joined by ECW Champion Matt Hardy, Triple H & WWE Champion Jeff Hardy. The crowd loves the sound of the dream team, but everybody wonders who Stephanie will choose for the heel team as the top Raw heels are all in the Elimination Chamber.
Commercial Break.
We come back from commercial to see JBL and Shawn Michaels arriving at the arena. Ezekiel Jackson stops them as they arrive. JBL wants to know the meaning of this, which leads to The Brian Kendrick walking up to them. He says that he wants a one-on-one match with Shawn Michaels tonight, to prove that he has surpassed his teacher in looks, charisma & ability. Michaels goes to agree but JBL cuts him off and says that Michaels only wrestles when JBL says so. And JBL likes the idea of a teacher/student match and agrees to it for Michaels.
Non-Title Divas Fatal Four Way Match Beth Phoenix w/ Santino Marella vs. Divas Champion Natalya vs. Women’s Champion Melina vs. Michelle McCool
Very good Divas match as all four women are very good in the ring. Natalya and Beth seemed to work as a team and boy did they work well together. They dominated the match but Melina fought back and began to hit Beth with some stiff shots while McCool worked over Natalya. The finish of this one came when Melina and McCool dropkicked Natalya and Beth to the outside and then Melina nailed McCool with her Sunset Flip Bomb for the win.
Winner: Women’s Champion Melina (5:21) **
Post match, Melina celebrated as she went up the ramp. Natalya and Beth looked pissed and took it out on Michelle McCool as Beth hit her with the Glam Slam. Melina ran back in and began to fight with Beth. Natalya grabbed Melina but the returning Gail Kim made her way to the ring, to a huge pop and took out Natalya. Kim and Melina nailed dual dropkicks on Beth & Natalya and sent them flying over the top rope as we faded to commercial.
Commercial Break.
Shane McMahon and Vickie Guerrero are seen backstage. Mr. Kennedy comes into their office and demands to know where MVP is. Shane informs Kennedy that MVP will be out of action while his agent restructures his contract. Mr. Kennedy said that MVP is just scared of what will happen to him if he shows up. Shane tells Kennedy to go prepare for his interpromotional match later on.
Tag Team Match Intercontinental Champion CM Punk & Hurricane Helms vs. United States Champion Shelton Benjamin & Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea Burchill
A very good tag team match despite Shelton being the only guy here who is really accomplished in Tag Team wrestling. Shelton and Burchill meshed very well as a team and managed to cut the ring in half and beat on Helms. Burchill and Shelton both worked on Helms’ leg, to take away his Shining Wizard finisher. After a few minutes of this, Helms managed to make the big tag and Punk came in roaring as he nailed both of his opponents with big offensive moves. He hit his springboard clothesline on Benjamin and tagged in Helms. Punk went to fight with Burchill on the outside. Inside, Helms went for his Shining Wizard but Shelton ducked, jumped up and dropped Helms with Paydirt.
Winners: United States Champion Shelton Benjamin and Paul Burchill (9:44) ***
Burchill threw Punk into the steel steps and then celebrated and walked away with Katie Lea.
Triple H is seen being interviewed about his upcoming match with Umaga, the man who attacked him a few weeks back and eliminated him at the Royal Rumble. Triple H talked about how he wasn’t going out there to win a match against Umaga. He was going to out and hurt Umaga.
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Triple H vs. Umaga
This was not a wrestling match; it was just a pure fight. These two went at it and it seems as if they really hate each other. They went at it with stiff, hard hitting rights and lefts and Umaga took the advantage with a headbutt. Triple H got the advantage back when he nailed Umaga with a big spinebuster. Both men fought to the outside, where Umaga began to choke Triple H with cables. Triple fought back and threw Umaga into the steel steps and began to stomp on him but the referee called for the bell.
Double Count Out (8:20) **
Triple H didn’t seem to care as he kept stomping on Umaga. He went under the ring and got his Sledgehammer but by the time he turned towards Umaga, he was already up and he dropped Triple H with the Samoan Spike.
Commercial Break.
As we return from commercial, Edge comes down to the ring. He gets on the microphone and begins to talk about how he won the Royal Rumble and defied the odds as he lasted 45 minutes. He said that he was the MVP of the Royal Rumble, which ignites an MVP chant from about half of the crowd. Edge then promises to take Jeff Hardy’s WWE Title at WrestleMania 25. He said that he & Jeff Hardy have a lot of history together and it will all culminate and come to an end when he raises the WWE Title over his head on the biggest stage of them all!
Commercial Break.
We now see the WWE Tag Team Champions, Carlito & Primo talking with the Bella Twins. TJ Wilson and Harry Smith come up to them and tell them that they better be grateful that they’re not defending their Titles tonight. The Colons exchange some heat words back at them, when Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder run out and lay out both teams with steel chairs. Hawkins shouts at the Hart Foundation and says that they cost them their non title match last week. Ryder screams at the Champs and says that they’re coming for the gold.
Tag Team Match Batista & The Undertaker vs. Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton w/ Manu
The dream team of the WrestleMania 23 opponents, Batista and The Undertaker proved to be just that, a dream team. They dominated this match and really worked over Cody Rhodes. Manu cheated for his partners by tripping up Batista and even putting Rhodes’ foot on the bottom rope after a chokeslam. This led to Batista running to Manu and dropping him with a spinebuster. This led to the end of the match as Undertaker tagged in Batista and Batista dropped Rhodes with the Batista Bomb. He covered and Orton ran in and went for the Punt, but Batista moved out of the way and Orton ran right into a big boot from ‘Taker. Batista covered again for the victory.
Winners: Batista & The Undertaker (11:47) ***
Once the match is over, a druet, who normally carries caskets to the ring for Casket matches, walks down the ramp slowly. He is holding an urn in his hand. Undertaker looks very confused and mad, and begins to walk up the ramp to meet the druet halfway but as he does, the lights in the arena go out. They come back on and the druet is gone and the urn is left at the Undertaker’s feet and he looks around very confused.
Commercial Break.
We return to once again see Vickie Guerrero and Shane McMahon in their office. Chris Jericho walks in. He says that just he thought Smackdown would be different from Raw. But, no matter what show he goes to, he’s not treated like the Superstar of the Year that he is. He said that his five opponents at No Way Out are all in matches tonight, yet he isn’t. Shane McMahon said that he should have a match tonight and tells Jericho to go get ready; his match will be in a little while. Jericho leaves and Vickie asks who is he going to wrestle. Shane says he’s going to get on the phone with Teddy Long.
Singles Match Shawn Michaels w/ JBL vs. The Brian Kendrick w/ Ezekiel Jackson
This turned out to be a great match. Kendrick showed all that potential we’ve heard about as he hung with his mentor the whole way. A lot of back and forth action with both men hitting their key spots, Kendrick hitting hit double stomp and then a standing moonsault but only got a two count. Michaels came back when he hit a flying forearm, then kicked up and hit his elbow drop off the top but also only got a near fall. The finish came when Kendrick went for The Kendrick, but Michaels grabbed the ropes, causing Kendrick to flip over by himself and as he got up, Michaels nailed him with Sweet Chin Music.
Winner: Shawn Michaels (10:50) ***½
After the match, Michaels helped Kendrick up and went to shake his hand but Kendrick didn’t look too pleased and he rolled out of the ring and left with Ezekiel. JBL got in the ring and clapped for Michaels as we cut to the back.
We see the Undertaker burst into Shane and Vickie’s office and grab Vickie by the throat. He asks her if she knows anything about who is attacking him. She says no and he tells her that if she’s lying, he will hurt her and the person who’s attacking him. After ‘Taker leaves, Shane tells Vickie that she better not be lying.
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne
It turns out that the ECW superstar that Teddy Long picked to face Jericho was the high flying Evan Bourne. The match was just as good as the last one, where a veteran took on a young up and comer. Jericho dominated the early stages of the match but Bourne wouldn’t stay down. Jericho hit the Lionsault but Bourne kicked out. Bourne fought back and hits Jericho with both of his knees as he flew off the top but Jericho kicked out. Bourne went to the top and attempted his Shooting Star Press, but Jericho got up and caught him in the Codebreaker, but the move was botched as it looked very hard to pull off. Jericho pinned him with that despite the botch.
Winner: Chris Jericho (9:56) ***¼
Jericho looks on with a weird look on his face, wondering how Evan Bourne could take all of that and keep getting up.
Backstage, we see Mr. Kennedy and William Regal walking to the ring on a split screen.
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Mr. Kennedy vs. William Regal w/ Layla
This was a very solid match between two of the top mid-carders in the WWE. Regal carried the match for the most part as he is the more accomplished grappler. Kennedy did his best though and hit some good moves, like a body slam, suplex and fallaway slam. The finish of the match came when Regal went to pull out his brass knuckles but Kennedy ducked the punch and nailed Regal with the Green Bay Plunge.
Winner: Mr. Kennedy (7:37) **½
After the match, Mr. Kennedy got on the microphone and announced that he was the winner. He then said that he was coming for MVP whenever he makes his return, but his main focus is on the United States Title.
Backstage, we see the three champions, John Cena and The Hardys talking about their upcoming match. They then mention their eight man tag at No Way Out, where they will be teaming again, but with Triple H also. Cena then says it’s time for them to go out and put on a show.
Commercial Break.
Six Man Tag Main Event Edge, Elijah Burke & JBL w/ Shawn Michaels vs. World Champion John Cena, WWE Champion Jeff Hardy & ECW Champion Matt Hardy
Very good main event match. The second dream team of the night, this one with the three top champions, worked very well together. The teams went back and forth for a while with the Hardyz doing some good tag team work. After a while of even action, Cena got tagged in and took over. He took out JBL with a shoulder block and nailed Elijah Burke with his top rope fameasser. Then he tagged Jeff, who got into a fist fight in the middle of the ring with his WrestleMania opponent, Edge. This was broken up when Burke jumped into help Edge. The end of this match came when JBL dropped Matt Hardy with the Clothesline from Hell. Only problem was that Matt wasn’t the legal man, and JBL turned around right into an FU. Edge and Burke were teaming up on Jeff on the outside until they heard the three count.
Winners: World Champion John Cena, WWE Champion Jeff Hardy & ECW Champion Matt Hardy (14:01) ***½
After the match, Elijah Burke got in the ring and ran at Cena but he got thrown back to the outside. Edge attempted to get a chair and use it on Jeff, but Jeff kicked him in the stomach and nailed him with the chair. Cena kept celebrating in the ring, while Jeff came in to check on Matt who was just getting up from the Clothesline from Hell. Shawn Michaels walked to the back without even checking on JBL or waiting for him to get up.

The 8-Man tag team match sounds pretty good. Interesting in who the myster partner will be for the heel team. Umaga/HHH looked like a solid match and glad it had no clear cut winner. Loved how you wrote the match as well. Jericho vs. Bourne looked amazing and is something I wuld love to see in real life. Man, Smackdown seems pretty long, lol. 6-Man tag was a nice main event with Cena getting the win. Overall a solid show man and NWO is looking great so far

I'm just gonna start with the Rumble:
Punk becoming IC champion is great so I'm glad you went that route. I have no respect for the Diva's title but at the very least I'm happy for Natalya. Really glad you kept the titles on both Hardys as well as Cena.
Edge is alright but I don't like him winning the Rumble as he doesn't need something like that especially to gain a title shot since he gets them all the time as it is. MVP getting all that hype seemed random to me and I don't like that he and Edge being two heels were the final two. The whole thing really didn't sound like a realistic Rumble but how you would want it yourself. The finals really should have been Edge and Batista if anything.

THREE HOURS SMAAAAACKDOWN! - Kendrick want a one-on-one match with HBK? Aha, Yikes, that ought to be good. - Ah, Sweet Melina won. I'm glad that Melina didn't pin Natalya, that woulda totally rail Natalya's big time. Gail Kim returning is sweet, can't wait to see what you will do with her. - I'm liking the inter-brand matches that's going on, especially IC Champ vs US Champ. Although I do have to admit that the pairing of Punk and Helms is quite "hot". Hahaha. But I'm sad that they lost though, but it is a good way of picking up heat for Benjamin after losing to Hardy at the Rumble. - Double Countout for Hunter and Umaga?! But more importantly, Hunter?! But it sounds like a real good fight. - The WM23 Dream Team is a Dream Team, indeed. Cody got demolished by Batista eh? I'm glad for them to pick up the victory. - Chirrrs Jeeeeeericho, the Superstar of the Year! - Ah, the match that I wanted to see! TBK vs. HBK! Interesting finish, but I think I can see more of these two guys. - Jericho vs. Bourne! That's a surprise match indeed! But no shocking upset here though. The Shooting Star into the Codebreaker? OUCH! - Kennedy vs Regal?! Kennedy won. Boo-urns. - Whoa, all three World Champs on the same team?! That's def. the big highlight of this 3-hr smackdown! Hah, JBL nailing the wrong man, and getting' FU'd? Hah. I'm glad the the World Champs won though. And loving the fact of HBK even walking to the back without checking on JBL for like the second time!

February 2nd, 2009 Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado This week’s Raw opens with a video showing Stephanie McMahon’s announcement of an Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out. It then shows JBL & Cody Rhodes qualifying for the match and it ends by showing how Raw ended last week, with all six Chamber participants getting laid out and Cena standing tall.
Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole welcome us to Raw this week. They announce tonight’s main event, which includes Chamber participants and the World Champion himself. The main event is Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes teaming up to take on John Cena, Shawn Michaels & Batista. The twist is that JBL will be the special referee. The question is, will he be a fair referee? If not, which side will he take? He despises John Cena but Cena’s teaming with JBL’s employee, Shawn Michaels.
Intercontinental Championship CM Punk (c) vs. William Regal w/ Layla
Raw kicks off with a bang as we get a rematch of this instant classic from the Royal Rumble. This wasn’t as good as their Rumble match, but it was still a good contest. Regal had the upper hand early on with some mat work but Punk fought back and took the advantage after a double underhook back breaker. They went back and forth for a while until Punk whipped Regal into the corner and hit his patented knee strike and bulldog. He didn’t attempt a pin, probably because Regal kicked out of almost everything at the Rumble. He instead picked him up and drilled him with Go 2 Sleep for the victory.
Winner and Still Intercontinental Champion: CM Punk (11:18) ***½
Post match, CM Punk celebrated with the Title when he was suddenly attacked by Paul Burchill. Burchill nailed the Curb Stomp on Punk and held the Intercontinental Title in the air. Regal got up and began to stomp on Punk but Burchil laid him out with the Title and hit him with the Curb Stomp as well and screamed “I Am The Ripper!!!”
Commercial Break.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio is being interviewed. He mentions that he has a tag match later on, when he teams with Kofi Kingston to take on Mike Knox & Santino Marella. He says that he’s focused on tonight, but he actually has his eyes set on No Way Out in two weeks. He’s gone to Stephanie McMahon and asked for it and he was granted it. At No Way Out, he will go one on one with Mike Knox and finally put an end to his sneak attacks.
We now see The Technicians talking backstage. Jamie Noble says that he thinks they make a very good tag team, but he’s in the number one contender’s match for the Intercontinental Title later on tonight and he has to take an opportunity like that. Charlie Haas says that he totally understands and he plans on taking out The Miz tonight to show that they should get a World Tag Team Title Shot.
We now see Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix in Stephanie McMahon’s office. Stephanie shakes Beth’s hand and announces that Beth Phoenix will get her Women’s Title rematch at No Way Out. Beth looks very satisfied at this news.
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Charlie Haas w/ Kelly Kelly vs. The Miz w/ John Morrison
This was actually a pretty decent match as Haas brought out the best in The Miz. Miz was the aggressor early on and he used some rest holds to work down Haas. Miz had him in a sleeper hold but Kelly got the crowd to rally behind Haas and he fought out of the sleeper and nailed him with a T Bone throw. He picked up Miz and hit a bridging German suplex but Morrison pulled the referee out before the three. The ref threw Morrison out from ringside and Miz tried to roll up Haas but he kicked out and dropped Miz with a dragon screw. He then locked on his Haas of Pain and Miz had no choice but to tap out.
Winner: Charlie Haas (5:02) **¼
Backstage, we see CM Punk with an ice pack on his chin. Kofi Kingston walks up to him to find out how’s he feeling. Punk says that he’s already tired of Paul Burchill and that he’s going to get his revenge before the night is over.
Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Kofi Kingston & Rey Mysterio vs. Mike Knox & Santino Marella w/ Beth Phoenix
Santino didn’t seem too comfortable with having Knox as a partner. Rey didn’t seem to even want to fight with Santino and he kept asking for Knox. After a little while, Knox and Rey ended up in the ring together and Knox looked pretty dominant, although not to impressive in the ring. He hit a backbreaker and a gorilla press slam but only got a two count. He didn’t look too happy and threw Rey into the corner and started pummeling him, but Santino tagged himself in. Knox didn’t look happy, and this was when Rey took over. He got Santino down and hit the 619, then tagged Kofi who did his double leg drop and pinned for the win.
Winners: Kofi Kingston & Rey Mysterio (8:59) **¼
Mike Knox didn’t even care about the outcome as he just stared a hole through Rey Mysterio.
In the back, we see General Manager Stephanie McMahon walking towards the arena.
Commercial Break.
Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring. She gets on the microphone and announces that she is supposed to choose another superstar for the big eight man tag at No Way Out. She said she’s having a problem making a selection, because the top tier of Raw is booked already for No Way Out. She is deciding between a few names, but before she can finish speaking, Paul Burchill’s music hits. He comes out with his sister, Katie Lea, and gets on the microphone. He says that if she needs another superstar for the eight man tag, she needs to look no further than “The Ripper” Paul Burchill. He promises to be the next Intercontinental Champion and he will continue his path of dominance at No Way Out. Stephanie thinks about and admits that he’s been dominant and deserves the final spot. She said, she wants him to prove it at least once more and win his upcoming match.
Number One Contender for the Intercontinental Title Jamie Noble w/ Kelly Kelly vs. Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea Burchill
Despite Noble being undefeated here in 2009, a lot of people expected Burchill to squash him. That was not the case as Noble put up a good fight. He used quick moves and mat wrestling to keep Burchill grounded, but once Burchill got the upper hand, he kept it. He finished off the match when he nailed Noble with the C4.
Winner: Paul Burchill (6:15) **½
Stephanie McMahon watched the whole match from the top of the ramp and got on the microphone and said that Paul had earned his spot in that big eight man tag. Once she said that, CM Punk ran down to the ring and got into a fist fight with Burchill. They had an even exchange going until Punk ducked a punch and hit him with a superkick. Burchill slid out of the ring and Punk celebrated as we went to commercial.
Commercial Break.
We come back to see Katie Lea Burchill still in the ring and awaiting her opponent.
Non-Title Divas Match Katie Lea Burchill vs. Women’s Champion Melina
A very good, above average women’s match here. Melina and Katie Lea seem to have good chemistry together and it showed here. The match started with Katie Lea on the offensive as she hit a belly to back suplex and then continued to work on Melina’s back. Melina came back when she blocked a neckbreaker with an elbow to Katie Lea’s back. Melina took over from there on and she ended it soon after with her Sunset Flip Bomb.
Winner: Women’s Champion Melina (5:09) **¼
Backstage, we see Beth Phoenix watching the match on a monitor. We then cut to see The Technicians talking to GM Stephanie McMahon. Charlie Haas mentions that he beat the Miz one on one tonight and that should help put them in contention for the World Tag Team Titles. Stephanie says that they have a point, so next week on Raw, they will take on John Morrison & The Miz in a non-title match and if they win that match, they can get a World Tag Team Title match at No Way Out. We lastly cut to Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Manu walking to the arena.
Commercial Break.
Special Referee Six Man Tag World Champion John Cena, Shawn Michaels & Batista vs. Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton w/ Manu Special Referee: JBL
This six man tag was just as good as the one from last Friday’s Smackdown. The crowd was really into this contest as it was filled with the top stars of Raw. The heel team used the tag formula to perfection as they cut the ring in half and beat on Shawn Michaels for a while, until he made the hot tag to Batista who came in and cleaned house. The finish of the match came when Batsita nailed Jericho with a Batista Bomb but JBL was outside for some reason. That reason being that he went and got a steel chair and he laid out Batista with it. Cena ran in and also got pummeled with the chair. Michaels ran in and JBL stopped before hitting him with the chair and they stared at each other. This allowed Jericho to roll up Michaels and JBL fast counted the victory.
Winners: Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton (13:19) ***½
Post match, Shawn Michaels looked furious with JBL and began walking towards him as if they were going to fight, much to the crowd’s delight, but Randy Orton ran in and hit him with an RKO. This left Batista and HBK knocked out. Jericho, JBL, Orton and Rhodes began to beat on the World Champion. It was a sick beatdown as Cena was hit with a Clothesline from Hell, a Codebreaker, a spinning reverse DDT from Rhodes and a sick punt from Randy Orton. Orton finished off the beating by hitting his DDT from the apron to the floor and Jericho nailed Cena with the chair a few more times. Cena looked to be out cold as the show went off the air and left the announcers wondering if he'll even make it to No Way Out.

Great way to kick off this edition of WWE RAW with a Royal Rumble rematch, William Regal challenging WWE Intercontinental Champion, CM Punk but losing. Seemed pretty good but not as good as their Royal Rumble encounter. Hope M Punk has a lengthy reign as champ. Oooh, Paul Burchill returning. He could be a great threat to Punk's reign but I hope he doesn't win the title. Charlie Haas beating The Miz is fine, actually seemed pretty good in my opinion. I like where you're going with the Technicians. Decent tag team match to further the storyline with Rey Mysterio and Mike Knox as well as involving Kofi Kingston and Santino Marella in there but I dislike the pairing of Santino and Knox. A match for Mysterio and Knox at No Way Out? Blah. Paul Burchill beating Jamie Noble is fine, seemed solid. Hmm, Burchill in the eight-man tag team match at No Way Out but CM Punk not? I don't like that idea. I hope Punk eventually gets into it. Also, I feel you've rushed Burchill into it, I mean he's been back for one night and attacked the IC champion and gotten into the RAW semi-main event match. Melina beating Katie-Lea is good, seemed pretty decent, too. Hope Katie cuts away from Burchill to help Paul's career. Great six-man tag team match, good way to get the Elimination Chamber participants in a show. Good show, apart from Burchill being rushed in.

Regal vs. Punk is a great way to kick off Raw. Glad Punk retained. Hate that Burchill was the mystery guy for the 8 man tag at the PPV. However I think a Punk/Burchill feud will be awesome. Burchill winning the #1 contender spot was pretty obvious from his attack on Punk but still glad he won it. Raw main event looked good and I loved the ending to Raw with all the finishing moves being put on the Champion. A really good show here and NWO is building up nice.

Due to the beating World Heavyweight Champion John Cena suffered on Raw this past Monday, he will not be able to compete at No Way Out. He has suffered a concussion that will cause him to miss 2-3 weeks. WWE officials have already picked a replacement for John Cena in No Way Out's Eight Man Tag. Stephanie McMahon recieved a phone call from Intercontinental Champion CM Punk, saying that since he wants his hands on Paul Burchill so bad, he'll be glad to take Cena's place in the Eight Man Tag. Stephanie agreed and it's going to happen at No Way Out!

Good to see this on page ten.
Smackdown: Interesting idea for No Way Out, I hope it creates possible interbrand Wrestlemania matches. Interesting divas stuff, for divas standards anyway. Glad Shelton got the pin in his match to keep strong after the RR loss. Good ending to HHH/Umaga so nobody looks weak. I like Edge calling himself the MVP of the Rumble, when MVP himself was in the final two. Nice win for Batista & Taker. Really interesting stuff with Taker, wonder where it's going. Michaels-TBK sounded like a nice match to see. Same with Jericho-Bourne. Kennedy-MVP seems like it'd be okay. Good, realistic way to close the show.
Raw: A Burchill push is meh. It happens in like every diary for some reason. Beth-Melina in a rematch sounds okay; I wonder what you'll do with the women at Mania. Figured Haas would win, wonder when they'll get a title shot. No surprise there to see Santino do the job. Burchill in a big PPV match? Yuck. Really nice touch there with JBL counting HBK down quickly. Good way to end the show with the heels looking strong.
Good shows, and SD was the better of the two, but you had more to work with.

I hate how Last week, Cena was the one standing tall. Glad Punk won and retained his Intercontinental Champion. Great match, tbh. Why did you have Haas beat Miz? Even though I hate both of the two, I would have had Miz over Haas. Kofi and Rey winning is awesome. I would take them over Mike Knox. Please push Santino. No doubt, Paul Burchill would beat Jamie "jobbing" Noble. The divas match was alright. Main event was awesome. Glad Legacy won the match. RAW was really good. One thing that bothers me though, is the format. Other than that this is awesome. No Way Out is shaping out to be great. Keep it up.

February 3rd, 2009 EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah
We kick things off this week with the usual video package showcasing the highlights of last week’s show. It shows Elijah Burke’s interference in the Mark Henry/Matt Hardy match and the outcome of the two TV Title Tournament matches.
Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to Utah for this edition of ECW. They inform us that tonight’s main event will be Elijah Burke vs. Mark Henry vs. ECW Champion Matt Hardy in a non-title Triple Threat match.
Quarterfinals of the TV Title Tournament Finlay w/ Hornswoggle vs. Scotty Goldman w/ Ace Steel
Before the match began Goldman and Hornswoggle got into some fun pre-match antics as they danced with each other to the crowd’s liking, then the match began. This was a good match to kick things off tonight. Goldman was easily the quicker of the two, but Finlay relied on his veteran wits to keep this one close. The finish came when Goldman tried to lock in his Chicago Crab but Finlay pushed him off, he bounced to the ropes and when he came back, Finlay dropped him with the Celtic Cross for the win.
Winner: Finlay (8:28) **¾
Post match, Finlay and Hornswoggle celebrated the win and Finlay shook hands with Goldman.
Backstage, we see Jack Swagger walking towards the arena.
Commercial Break.
Jack Swagger comes to the ring and begins to talk about how he’s going to win the TV Title Tournament. He said that he’s going to continue his winning streak and after taking the TV Title, he’s going to take the ECW Title, he doesn’t care who has the belt because he’s the future of ECW. Elijah Burke now makes his way out. He says that he is the real future of ECW, Mr. McMahon said so himself. He doesn’t believe it’s some flash in the pan like Jack Swagger. Swagger goes to retort but Matt Hardy comes out. He says that neither one of them is going to take his ECW Title because Matt Hardy will not die! He then says that if Swagger wants to prove himself so much, he should ask Teddy Long if he can make tonight’s main event a fatal four way. Teddy Long appears on screen and agrees that tonight’s match will be a fatal four way.
Commercial Break.
Jack Swagger is seen backstage talking to Tiffany and telling her that he’s going to pin Matt Hardy tonight and get into contention for the ECW Title, and he’s going to win the TV Title Tournament as well and take over ECW. Tiffany doesn’t seem to want to hear any of this though.
Quarterfinals of the TV Title Tournament Chavo Guerrero vs. Evan Bourne
This match turned out to be the best of the Tournament so far. Bourne and Chavo went it at with some mat based offense early on and then got into the high flying stuff. Bourne hit a top rope arm drag for just a two count and Chavo hit the Three Amigos, also for a two count. Bourne took back the advantage when he nailed his knee drop to Chavo’s shoulders, yet still only got a two count. Bourne went for his standing moonsault but Chavo moved out of the way. Chavo went to the top for his Frog Splash but Bourne caught him at the top and delivered a kick to his head, then hit a top rope hurricanrana. He followed it up with the Shooting Star Press and it was all over.
Winner: Evan Bourne (11:22) ***½
Commercial Break.
We come back from commercial to see a promo airing for the return of the vampire, Kevin Thorn. The video is cut off by the Boogeyman in a dark room, talking in rhymes about how Kevin Thorn can’t come to ECW and take his place as the resident freak.
The ring is now set up for the World Tag Team Champions, John Morrison and The Miz’s Dirt Sheet. They come out to a mixed reaction from the crowd and they begin to talk as they usually do about how they’re better than everybody else. They mention two people who they easily are better than, Charlie Haas and Jamie Noble. They say that next week on Raw, they will put an end to anybody’s hopes that “The Technicians” will be the team to knock them off. The Miz then goes on to say that Jamie Noble is happy dating Miz’s sloppy seconds, Kelly Kelly. At this point, Jamie Noble comes running down to the ring as fast as he could and he takes out The Miz. John Morrison jumps in and the numbers game is too much. Charlie Haas runs down and evens it up and Miz and Morrison retreat to the back, holding up their Titles.
Commercial Break.
Non-Title Fatal Four Way Elijah Burke vs. Jack Swagger vs. ECW Champion Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry w/ Tony Atlas
This was a solid four way match. The three heels seemed to be gunning for the Champion and they beat on him for the early portion of the match until Swagger went for the pin and Henry pulled him off. Henry argued with Swagger and Burke covered Matt but both men pulled him off. This led to the three heels fighting for a few minutes while Matt was laid out in the corner. After a few minutes of that, the finish came. Burke hit Swagger with the Elijah Experience, only to turn around and have Mark Henry put him in a bearhug. Matt ran by and took out Henry’s legs, which led to Burke dropping on top of him. The referee began to count and Burke hooked Henry’s legs and grabbed the ropes for leverage and got the three before Matt could break up the count.
Winner: Elijah Burke (10:44) ***
Post match, Elijah Burke got out of the ring before anybody could notice that he cheated and he celebrated up the ramp. Mark Henry looked really upset that he lost for the second straight week unfairly, while Matt and Burke stared each other down.

Finlay winning made sense, and nice touch with shaking Goldman's hand after. I liked the Burke/Swagger interaction with Burke referencing Vince. Glad Bourne picked up the win, and he makes a great TV Title contender. Good sneaky win for Burke out of the main event. I hope you end up going with Bourne/Swagger for the TV Title as it'd make a good match.
